MisaoWeasel
Lots of people like anime (just like me) but why do you like it? For the fighting, or just the great stories, or heck, mabey for the cute guys *wink wink* I want to know why you like anime!
KKC
Of Course its the cute guys! It would be pointless without them! *wink* well, asides from that, I would have to say the animation to it, For some reasons animes are just drawn better then other normal show(except for Kikaider and Cyborg 009). Not to mention the Japanese music is really cool. The plots are great as well. Almost anything you ever want to see about could be in an anime. You almost never see the same plots in "Normal" Shows. But, the cute guys will always be the biggest reason ^_^
MisaoWeasel
Lol. I agree with everything you say, Cute guys rule! *wink*
Guest Edward-Chan
I like the higher level of thinking of it all. Plus the better plots. In western shows in each show the begining, the problem, the climax and the end are always in the 30 min slot but with anime a certain plot may go on for days. Plus the guys are to die for, too bad they dont make them like that in real life.;)
Kwai
Well... I guess its probably because anime presents a different atmosphere of story telling than say... live-action, books, etc. There are somethings better done in drawing than by actual people. But aside from that, its usually the action and the storyline which becomes the deciding factor for me.
Shippo
The reason I like anime is because... -The plots! -The action -ehmm, not really the cute guys ((thats cuz i AM a guy  ))
MisaoWeasel
uum...yeah...I guess you wouldn't like guys if you are a guy...unless...you know...you're gay, or something.... How do you get the things under you name? Like the pic of Shippo under his name?
AzureWolf
Cute guys? Haha, no thank you! :D I can't agree with the majority on that idea... :p Personally, anime just suits my tastes. It just has a much greater potential than "real" shows. I mean, in an anime, if you've got some kind of character in mind, you can create him: a carbon copy of what you envisioned. With real actors, you are limited with their looks, and you can only put a scar here or there to try, in vain, to perfectly recreate your planned, symbolic, and impactful character. Also, I know this idea may sound crazy, but I think it's easier to relate to created characters than actors. I mean, you know while watching that the actor is probably a rich a-hole who cares only for himself, and represents nothing that his played character represents. In anime, however, that character is that character, and there is no mask the character uses. EDIT: Yeah, but in the end, I just prefer anime because it's just more entertaining than the other stuff. :p
OtakuSennen
Hm.. That's a good question.. Japanese storytelling just has its own little atmosphere, its own level of thinking.. The animation is often more high-quality than American cartoons too.. Gundam Wing from 1995 looks like what you see in America today, in new cartoons... Plus, many cartoons in Japan are stricly aimed at very young audiences, however Japan has tons of more complex, mature shows... And the music rocks. My friends (and I) don't know why I like the Japanese music more than American music... I just do. And the cute boys are the best part!!! -- For girls. I'm a guy, so all I care about are my semi-g/f in real life and bishojo.. hehe..
Kwai
Anime is good not because it isn't like the "Justice League" aired on Toonami right now. That is basically just action-adventure. Anime has action-adventure, but usually has a deeper underlying meaning which the author(or creator) is trying to convey. Anime puts more emphasis on the story telling and conveying the message, so I like it alot :)
Galvatron
I like the plots, I like the action, the villians I can say anime has some of the most evilest villians ever in a cartoon.
Zen
I like,no, love anime because there is so much more character devolopment and more beleivable characters. The action is much better in my thought in anime. ANd major characters will actually die. And not come back(unless revived via magic or DragonBall). It's just so much more dynamic than western cartoons and comics.
Heaven's Cloud
I like some anime and I dislike some anime, just like I like and dislike certian cartoons. I don't find japanese anime to be superior to american animation at all, however, I do think that there are japanese anime productions that are better then the majority of american animation productions. So I guess the reason I like certian anime is the same reason that I enjoy certian movies...they just appeal to me for one random reason or another...
eleanor
I love anime in general for its wide variety in every subject. No, I'm not in love with every anime series available, and I hate some anime series. But I think most anime is a step up from American cartoons. The anime series I like tend to deal with real-life situations, and not the "I lied to my parents, oh I feel so guilty and WAIT, I love this girl but she loves this other boy..." stuff or the typical...over-used stuff. I like how deep the plot can really go and mature themes anime can deal with. And the cute guys.
Spikey
I like anime because of the action, and the plot. Also because Japanese are genius. And that's basically it. I dunno.
Sculptor
I like anime because of the plots, the action, the emotion, and the style. Anime can definatly be an artwork sometimes.
Queen Asuka
I like anime because it is a tad bit different. No, I do not worship the Japanese, think their culture is the greatest on earth and swear I'm going to move their someday, but I do appreciate the things they put into anime. I love the artistic style. That's what got me into it when I was a kid. I was always a sucker for any anime I could catch. So yes, it's the artistic style for me. Sure, I like other aspects of anime, but that is the main thing.
Syk3
I really like anime for a number of reasons. Of course, probably the first point I have to make is on their unique animation style, where you can ususally identify something as an anime or not. I actually prefer it to almost every animation style we have in America currently, probably mostly because it is very detailed, and looks quite realistic (a lot of the time). It is fun to draw, though some are easier than others, and they're just so unique compared to other country animations. ^_^; The next thing that I have to bring up is the story-line in most animes. I have found that ususally, animes go much deeper into the story than other cartoons. They pay attention to greater detail, trying to create situations that they believe would actually happen in that particular atmosphere, and I think they do a good job for the most part. And the genres themselves have a large collection enough for anyone to find what they like, including action, romance, comedy, self growth, etc., and a lot of animes have combinations of these. So, I guess what it comes down to...is detail. The animation is detailed, the storyline is detailed, heck, even the personalities of the characters in the anime are detailed. That's why I like anime. ;)
pbfrontmanvdp
I like it since it deals with real life situations and there isnt always solved at the end. Plus i love the way most animes always keep you thinking about what goes on in our lives like Noir and Cowboy Bebop. I love the fighting scenes as well, if i could do some of the moves like some animated characters it would be a dream come true (well not a dream come true but it would kick ***). I also like anime cause i like the art in some of the series along with the music. To see what other cultures have for music is pretty cool and most of the Japanese music is to my liking. So thats why i like anime.
