Alright. I am an actor. I dunno how many people love to do this. Plenty do, but they get stage fright. I've done a few acts before and trust me, it's nothing to worry about. It's so much fun and stuff that once you're out there, you don't even notice the audience. One play I did, I only looked at the audience once (on purpose). Other times it was because I had to for my part. I can play almost anything and I love it all!

So... who else acts? And what have you acted in?

^_^ You could say I'm an actor. I'm always in school plays..

But I'm always the comic relief role.. -_- Never lead role.

But that's good. What good story doesn't have some humor in it, apart from stuff from Edgar Allen Poe and many other works of literature?..

I considered auditioning for one of our school's upcoming plays, but I decided not to in the end. Mainly because the plays didn't exactly sound interesting and I was kind of afraid I wouldn't make it in. And if I did make it in, I probably would've freaked about performing in front of a crowd because I was afraid that I might screw up my lines. How's that for a scaredy cat? lol. But I realized that I have performed in front of people back at my old school and back then I wasn't scared, but rather more excited, and I never once messed up my lines. Then I noticed that there really isn't anything to it. But by then, the auditions were over. Bad timing, eh? I regret not auditioning now, but there's always next year.

I'm not too sure whether I'm good at it or not, but I love reading scripts and being on stage.

Whenever I'm home alone, I usually act out scripts from my favorite movies, and the one I've been doing the most lately is Moulin Rouge. I can do most of the parts without the script now, and I've practically memorized both Lord of the Rings movies. But they're both really fun to do, though I have a hard time with the words with short O's. Everything else, I'm somewhat fluent in English, but words with short O's are difficult when they're talking fast. But I'm used to speaking in Brit-English, since I've lived in both Denmark and England for about 6-8 months. And I have extra-ed in a Korean show, though. One line, but it was fun. ...How many plays? Alot. I'm too lazy to go back and count. x.x;

At school, I usually try out for the plays, though I didn't try out next year, so I could really focus more on grades. Since seventh grade is said to be alot easier, I promised myself I'd be trying out for at least one. And I never get stage fright, and I love presenting projects in class. Suu... yeah. ^^;

I act. I have been in all our school plays with either lead or supporting roles. I was Julius Caesar in Caesar (*cough*), I have been the lead in our class play for the last two years, and I played "Danny" in our schools production or "Grease". The hardest part was the singing for "Grease", because it is a musical after all. :) I love acting, almost as much as I love history. :)

I've played many memorable roles..

1) Some anonymous journalist in an African American Heritage play..

2) Ernest Hemingway (comic relief.. Weird.)

And my favorite...

3) Bill, the trusty fictional sidekick of Theseus, a Greek hero..

OK, okay.. Only one of them is memorable..

But what roles do other people play?

I've just recently gotten into acting, but I love it. In 8th grade I was Bill Sykes in "Oliver!", 9th grade I was Richard Stanley in "The Man Who Came to Dinner" and John the Apostle in "Jesus Christ Superstar" and yesterday I tried out for "West Side Story" so i'll have to wait and see what happens with that.

Mweheheh... I love acting. I have only done school performances, just because I have never really been interested in going into actual theater companies here. I imagine it would be far too professional and such for my tastes. Not that we do not take it seriously in school, it just seems like a much more lax atmosphere. Probably because you know most of everyone.

The only time I ever have any kind of stage fright is when auditioning; especially for musicals because I hate having to sing a capella. I cannot get into it if I have no music to flow through me. Monologues are easy though, I have no problem with those. I pretty much just make those as big as I can. Which is hard to do with serious monologues, but comical is really easy. Last year when I auditioned for the Spring play at a high school, The Matchmaker, I had to do a serious and comical monologue. For the serious one, I took an excerpt from the book My Antonia, and for the comical I did the scene from Tommy Boy where Chris Farley has the puppet show with that one business guy's model cars. Lol... The funniest part about it, I think, was that I started with the serious and went straight through into the comical. I made no pause between them to let them know I was switching which really caught them off guard and got a lot of laughs. I guess it is just something about a guy up on stage talking all romantic, then out of no where just begins trying to sell you brake pads. o_O

The director there loves me, and I usually know that she has a part in mind for me before I even audition because students at that school talk to her and they hint stuff at me. The are doing Cinderella for the musical this fall... I shall probably end up as the Prince unless someone better comes along. All I say is that I better not have to cut my hair... >.>

I forget what the Spring play is... something about law or something...

But yes, acting is very fun.

This year, my Literature class participated in playing "Macbeth". I was The 1st witch. I was a little out of my "element", but I had fun. I also played in "Romeo and Juilet" last year...I was the Nurse. But yeah, I love acting. I'm taking Theatrical Drama as my minor in college this Fall, so hopefully, after I graduate, I'll start going to some auditions.

I was in some of the drama plays that we played just for our parents when I was in 2nd and 6th grade...in 2nd grade I was the princess in the Kingdom of Smelly Feet (it had aliens in it that had to run away because of the smell...we were imaginative little seven year olds..) And in 6th grade I was the witch which brought everybody named Tess into one big room and tried to turn them against each other so they could destroy each other...Ahh i love acting, I just wish i was better at it..drama's not a big thing in our school. Well, it may be in the school tha ti'm going to, though...:-D! I sure hope so.

Acting isn't fun in my experience. Once in 3rd grade I played the Reindeer keeper in "Santa forgot about Christmas!". As stupid as the title is. I only got to say 1 line. And it was to name all the reindeer. Including Rudolph the red nosed *beep*. *sigh* Wishe that I was in a much better play. At least it included Donut lunch lol.

I did a few plays in Middle school, but I did a lot more backstage work and less acting throughout High school. My senior year, however, I tried out and got a part in the musical-comedy "Little Shop of Horrors." I puppeteered the plant (Audrey II), played a hobo/wino, and played a shop customer. I was also part of the chorus.

I took an acting class last semester (college freshman), and the teacher said I had the best comedic timing in the class (yay!).

My dream is to become a voice actor for original animation. No dubbing. People can be real arseholes when dealing with voice-over dub actors, so that's totally crossed off of my list. I might want to go inot live-action acting, but that would involve having "the right look" for a part in addition to the right voice.

Well, acting being my life, I've pretty much dedicated myself to it. I've tried for as many shows as I can at once. Everytime I'm the main role. That's gotta tell ya somethin' and it makes me proud. I tried out for a TV show, but then figured out how they wanted the auditioners to do it. The people were complete loons (even more than myself :P). They could've at least told us to be crazy XD

Anyways, I did make it in every other thing I've tried. In my school play "Little Women" (shudder) I was the leading male role of Laurie. Though his name sounds like a girl's, he got down with 2 of the sisters so I'm happy XD

I'm also in a comedy play right now that premeires next Friday. It's a mix between Sherlock Holmes and the Emperor's New Clothes where the Emperor has Sherlock, Watson, and their magical mooing cat (don't ask) go find the tailors who ripped the emperor off. I, of course, am the idiot Sherlock Holmes. We wrote the play so I made Sherlock dumb as a doorknob. I love theatre XD

I've also done Forensics. I dunno if any of you know what Forensics is, but it's competition acting/speech. I did a duo with my buddy Mike. A duo is a two peson act where you cannot face each other or touch one another. It has to be between 7 to 10 minutes as well. Mike and I did a gangster skit called "Gangster's Apparell" where we were two gangsters in a jail cell talking of social matters. It was really funny and we had the audience in stitches everytime we did it.

Mike and I did well and got ourselves up to regionals, I believe. Too bad we didn't make it to state. It might've been a goof up again because earlier in that year of forensics, they messed up our score. Mike and I had a 299 out of 300 score (best out of anyone at the whole forensics thing) and we oddly still lost. But they fixed it.

But still, up to regionals with 299 scores and 300 scores in all of our competitions. I'd have to say that's not bad for our first year of Forensics. We've decided to do it every year with one another for now on.

This past year I was in drama class, so as expected I needed to do a bit of acting. Honestly, I think I can act quite well, I can even cry at will. But I never did too well in that class, we mainly did assignments in pairs, this is where I did good. If I am up on stage with a friend, I am perfectly fine. But, some of our assignments were individual, so I was screwed. :cross:

I got a bad case of the stage gitters, and failed the assignment. So in other words, I can act well, I just can't do a solo piece.

I love it to death....I can't wait for school to start so I can audition for the fall play. Yippee!!!!

I used to like to act, but not anymore. I also liked doing the behind the scenes work, but not anymore. They both used to be fun, but people weren't very nice to me so I quit. I was only in one play. Which was "Actor's Nightmare"
