Bad Boys 2

I usually wait for movie threads to be made, but I thought, eh, why not make it myself, and here I am. Yeah...so, I saw Bad Boys 2 today at my local theater. I really didn't have any intentions of watching it at first, and the only reason I came was to get more time driving, and because my brother wanted to see it anyway.

It was actually a much better movie than I thought it would be. There was tons of action, which was to be expected from the looks of the previews, but to accompany that, a lot of movies seldom focus on the plot. This movie, however, had a decent story in my opinion that wasn't hard to follow at all, and actually made sense, unlike a lot of movies that I've seen lately. Bad Boys 2 also had a lot of comedy, obviously, and I particularly liked the scene
in the electronic store when they went to see what was on the video camra, lol.
If you have any desire to watch this movie, be prepared for a much longer film than you will anticipate, and the massive load of cussing that goes with the R rating. If you can stand that much, then I deffinitly recommend this movie the everyone, and find it to be surprisingly one of the best movies I've seen this summer.

I just can't imagine another Bad Boys... I liked the first one so much. There just isn't a Bad Boys for me without Julie. Not that I think the second one is going to be a bad movie, but I'd rather not see it to preserve the essence of the first.

I saw bits and peices of the first; it was on the other day when I was in Cali. Like I said, I didn't see much of it, but from what I did see, it looked to be a pretty funny movie as well. I have to tell you, though, before I saw the previews for the second one, I hadn't even heard of Bad Boys.

Just saw it. And it was one of the better movies I've seen. I found it much better than the first one, which is a rarity. I was excited about this one, my friends and I had planned to see it months ago so it was anticipation for a long time. It certainly didn't fail to meet our expectations and I think it sored way above them.

The humour meets complete action is a great way to do a film and it's my favourite to watch. The camera work and special effects in BB2 was superb. 3000 times better than the first, although 6 or 8 or whatever years between them does provide alot.

Absolutely amazing. This movie should not get a rating less than 3 stars. It was simply amazing,a lthough some won't like the length, but I do since I'm a fan of long movies esspecially ones that never seem to have dull moments, and this one certainly doesn't.

The ONE thing i didn't like was the fact some scenes from the trailers were not shown int he movie, which is common, but I would have liked to see em. Oh yeah, and the fact they completely destroyed several hundred cars, all of which seemed to be made by GM. They probably put alot of money into this movie lol.

I never like when scenes are shown in trailers that don't show up in the movies. Anyone remember Orange County? Nearly the entire commercial wasn't even in the damn film.

I saw this yesterday against my own will. I've never seen the first one... and the horrible reviews this film was getting didn't exactly make me more interested.

It was a solid movie, I thought. You can't expect the most mind blowing thing ever from a buddy cop film, but it did what it did very well.

There were some great shoot out scenes as well as some unconventional car chases that were really well done, I thought. The special effects were pretty damn good too. I never really thought any of the violence looked all that fake (blood and body parts in particular), which is kind of rare for me.

I was surprised by how freaking long it was, though. We were in the theater for 3 hours. No more than 15 minutes were taken up by previews and commercials. I thought it was going to wrap up and end three times, but it just kept finding new things to go with.

That doesn't mean it drags, because I was pretty damn entertained throughout the whole film. There were some really funny moments and the action was solid.

My only gripes is that a good deal of the dialogue just sounded so stilted and idiotic. Especially Lawrence's family at the start. It just didn't seem right. There's also sometimes an excessive amount of gross things going on, but hell... I liked that. Just a heads up for people who don't heh.

Anyway, good movie. Liked it better than The Hulk, and I probably would have liked it better than Pirates of the Carribean if Depp didn't save it from becoming a long running, mediocre movie.

Yes, that's exactly what I thought about the movie. It was much longer than I thought it would be, and every time I thought it would end, it would find a way to keep going. It was a good movie all the way through, though, just a lot longer than I anticipated. o.o'

As for the trailer, I don't remember any parts that they didn't show in the movie, but yes, I really hate it when they do that in general. They use all of this funny and cool stuff to get you to see the movie, and when you get there, it's like you payed for a different movie in a way. oO;

I wanted to see this on Friday but all three shows were sold out. The lines were incredible. I couldn't believe it.

The reviews I've read or heard so far aren't very positive. The words "overlong" and "overblown" are two that come to mind. Which, is probably typical for a movie of this sort.

I'm mainly interested in seeing it because one of the writers is Ron Shelton. He did an excellent job directing Hollywood Homocide. It's probably one of the more entertaining cop films I've ever seen.

So, I'll really have to get around to seeing Bad Boys II this week. I thought that the first was decent, so I'll probably at least be able to tolerate the sequel.

that movie rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The second one is much better than the first one. The action and comedy are like quadrupled in quantity. I often turned my head away and gasped.
Biting my lip and nearly choking to death from the beginning to end was something totally new to me. I haven't had an experience like that since Eraser.

The main reason reviewers seem to have a problem with this film is the lack of "caring" Bay and Bruckhiemer put into it.... meaning... the sexual connotations, the odd things... useless scenes like the one where Will Smith and Martin Lawrence go up to the kid at the door who wants to take the daughter out... I mean.... the scene served no purpose but to make people laugh... stuff like that critics never like... and not to mention a high majority of critics I've read didn't find the scene funny either.

Roger Ebert considered the film to be full of racism, homophobia, violence, etc etc... I found the gay jokes funny. I found the fact they beat up and killed KKK members funny too. And the excessive use of the N word to probably there to add a more "brotherhood" feel to Will and Martin, because.... it's no secret black people refer to themselves as the N word on many occations... I really didn't see a problem with it.

I had a good laugh, a good time, and it was an overall good night. Thats what I like from a movie... Critics don't look for that.

The only reason I ended up seeing this was because 'Johnny English' was sold out. - .-;

Personally, I didn't like it very much. There were moments that were totally hilarious, but I think they really overdid the blood and violence. Especially during those scenes with all the
corpses, and them digging in their stomachs...
And especially at the end, where
the guy fell on the land mime after getting shot.
I mean, did they really have to show
the top half of the guy's body just bursting open like that?
It wasn't fantastic, and it wasn't terrible, but it just wasn't my 'type' of movie.
