I'm thinking about getting this game but I'm still not sure about it so if there are still people who are addicted to this game, then it's probably a must buy.

I would also like it if you guys discuss some of the good stuff about it as well and what makes it unique.

Well, I've had the game for almost a year now. The only reason why I'm not playing it is because there is nothing left for me to do. Caught all the fish, bugs, fossils, everything in the modern set. I even have a chessboard which I play around with on the first floor.

Well, I highly recoomend this game, as it will keep you busy playing it for atleast a month strait. Nothing but playing animal crossing all day.

I got it pretty soon after it came out, and I played it for a couple hours everyday. I kinda lost interest a while ago, but I'm thinking of starting up again. I want to finish paying off my house. I'll have a horrible time pulling all the weeds, tho:(

I'm still very much addicted to my Animal Crossing. I only need 2 more NES games I think (Donkey Kong Jr. and Donkey Kong 3), and I still need the Golden Axe. Otherwise, I've done pretty much everything else, but I'll probably still play it a lot once I'm fully completed, just so I can play The Legend of Zelda.

Yea,... I have this game also((im the speigals brother :D)) It gets pretty old after a while. I mean, you just do the same thing over and over.
Time to Time i pop it into the gamecube and try to catch the new bugs/fishes around town. I also like the summer campers that give out cool items.
Another cool thing is that the monthly nintendo power gives you codes, so you can put it in, and you get an exclusive item ^_^'

I play constantly, and then don't for months. I popped it in today and various animals were mad at me for not being around for so long. One said they hadn't seen me for 4 months, another for 2.

I must have spent 80% of my time picking all the damn weeds.

There's actually a way to get rid of all the weeds at once, but it's not exactly easy. You have to be playing between midnight and 4:00. There is a ghost that appears, but you can't see him until you're practically on top of him. When you do find him, he asks you to find 5 spirits for you, which are floating around the town. All you need to do is bag them with your net. Bring all five back to the ghost, and you will have a choice of three rewards: free roof painting(lame), a random item, or removing all weeds. Very cool, and only takes about 15-20 minutes after finding the darned invisible ghost. You can do this any number of times, I think.

When I first got AC, I played it for about three months straight, playing every day. Then I just stopped for about two months, until I started playing again, every day. That lasted for about a month, month and a half, until I borrowed Star Fox Adventures from a friend. Now I'm playing that instead. After I'm done with SFA, I'll probably start playing it again, if I don't have anything else.

So yeah, I'd say I've gotten my money's worth out of it, even if I were to never play it again. Not many games can keep me playing every day for three months. In fact, the only other two that I know of are Super Smash Bros. and Super Smash Bros. Melee.

So yes, I think AC is definitely worth buying. I highly doubt you'll be disappointed.

I just really got back into playing the game about 4 or 5 days ago. I got it the day it came out, was addicted to it for about 3 months then put it down and didn't play much after that. My little brother just started playing it and the game really is a lot funner when you have people to play with. I haven't gotten all the insects, fish, NES,gyroids, and my house doesn't match like i'd like it too so I think I will continue playing until I accomplish all that then I think i'll give the game a rest and wait til they put out a sequel.

I only purchased a used copy of the game a short time ago. Late June, I think. Consequently, I also picked up a Pro Action Replay. Truth be told, my main motivation to pick up the game at all, was the plethora of unlockable Nintendo classics. Most notably, Punch Out.

I would literally dedicate eighty percent of my Animal Crossing sessions to Little Mac; it's definitely one of my all-time favorite games. I don't know if it's the nostalgia factor or what--but it still stands among my favorite games in general, even. The fact that the memory card saves the passwords so that I'm not required to copy them, is the icing on the cake. ^_^

The actual Animal Crossing game, itself, is surprisingly quite addictive. I love expanding and redecorating my house. Catching fish and insects to add to the museum and my debt to Tom Nook are the most enjoyable tasks I partake in. I'm not a big fan of visiting the other animals because they annoy me with their repetitive requests and simple-minded dialogue.

The little events, such as attending aerobics classes, seeing fireworks, and joining bass fishing competitions add a nice dose of variety to the mix though. Plus, it's cool teaching the other animals slang when I do decide speak with them. Rasher calls me "dawg" now instead of saying "swine."

So, all in all, I'd say that Animal Crossing is pretty addictive. I played it almost every other day until I got KOTOR.

I used to always play.... thewn stopped. I got bored with it..... I did play once again about a week ago.... all my Animal friends were yelling at me for not playing for nine weeks....

On the flip side, my Mom is addicted. She has not missed a day at all, and when she found out she did, she went back in time just to fill in the empty day....

I just started playing again a week or so ago. I finished paying off my house! But no more upgrades... at least there's a purdy statue of me now. I'm down to needing something like five fish and five insects. And I'm still missing one fossil-the same one after a year! I'm currently participating in the morning aerobics, and Crazy Redd is coming today.

I think AC is boring. Buts that's only because i'd prefer action games. However, AC is the most addicting game i've ever played. Someone told me once that Pikman was really addicting, so if that's really addicting, then AC goes through the roof on the rate meter. I still have yet to complete catching everything and paying off my last debt. but now, since i've found out LoZ is in there, i think i'll just start playing again...

I've had AC for nearly a year, my sister and I both play it we both payed off our debt and expanded our houses as much as we could. But lately we don't play much, but it's still fun. She's caught all the fish and got a score of like 100 from the Happy Room, and I've got a 12, -_-;. All I really do in the game now is hit my neighbors with my fishing net, kill roaches, write letters, and fix my house up and fill it with gyroids. Anyone want to trade items?

All the fish? Hehe.. My brother has done the same thing... Now he literally can't carry any more money and has all the house expansions, whereas I've only had one.. >_< Durn Tom Nook hasn't sold a fishing rod other than that one time, despite the fact we have a NookMart. But 100 and 12?.. *tilts head* Aren't happy room ratings normally like 5,000 or something?..
