I think he means like 100000 and 12000.

I need three more fish and three more bugs. I finished paying off my house and have started depositing money in the post office. My HRA rating is something around 56,000. I am now on the hunt for the mysterious, elusive snail...come to papa, you little bugs...

{edit}and HA! I have Nookingtons, even better than NookMart! Take that, sir! *turns around and runs into pole*

I second that. I thought that Tom Nook was the most annoying raccoon I'd ever met...until I caught a glimpse of his devil-children. I swear, they were spawned from nothing but the purest evil in the world. Following you around everywhere...saying the same stuff at the same time...I swear, Nook's next place will be a shop/mental institution for his repeat customers...

You better be careful with Nook. I think he's in the Mafia, because one of my neighbors said this:

"He doesn't force you to sho there, but we er....look out for his best interests.";)

He may be annoying, but you never know when he might lose his temper with you....lol.

Ok everyone, I gotsa few questions.

As you probably know, Animal Crossing was never released in England. Is it worth me spending £45 for an import and another £12 for a Freeloader?

I mean, I've read various reviews and they all gave it 9 or above, so it's obviously a good game, but is it worth getting it when I'll be the only person I know in my area that plays it? Sure, I can still do the "code trading" stuff, but I won't be able to visit any of my friends towns, because...Well, they won't have one.

Also, this is a bit of a n00bish question, but will the free memory card work in my GCN? Is there a difference between American memory cards as well as the games?

There's also the fact that Animal Crossing 2 is coming out soon...So should I import the first one, or wait and pray that Nintendo release AC2 in England, and if not, import that instead, as it's hopefully going to be better?

Wah.

Yes, it would be. Animal Crossing is one of my favorite games for GameCube, and I've definetly played it more than any game.

Animal Crossing's a fun game with or without being able to go to your friends towns. Sure, they might have different fruits or items, but if you have another memory card, you can get all that stuff anyway.

That, I do not know. Someone else probably does, though.

I'm not sure when Animal Crossing 2's coming out. In Japan they have e+, but I guess that's not coming out in the US. I don't know about England, though.

Sorry I don't have more info, but oh well.

First off, yes, I think you should definitely get this game if it looks/sounds fun to you. For me, I thought it would get boring after a week, from just hearing about it. Once I actually played it, though, I was totally hooked.

Secondly, I doubt AC2 will be released anytime soon. Nintendo's said that they're going to do an updated Japanese game first, to include all the features that are in the US Animal Crossing. So I wouldn't count on another US Animal Crossing being released until at least 2005, most likely 2006.

As for the memory card thing, I think it should work, so long as you don't try and put both NTSC and PAL game files onto it at the same time. Though since AC takes up the entire memory card, you shouldn't have any problems with that.

Europe is supposedly getting Animal Crossing this October or something. Finally. I'd just wait, honestly.

The Animal Crossing memory cards are exactly the same as any other card. The only difference is that they have a label and a present that takes up 1 block or so.

You can easily delete that if you choose... However, it makes very little sense considering the game takes up the entire card with no room to spare anyway.

However, the card is formatted with the US in mind. I'd assume you'll be using Freeloader, which I believe bypasses all that formatting for other regions stuff. You should have no problem with it.

Japan already got the updated Animal Crossing. It's called E+ as Sniglefager said. Animal Crossing 2 isn't coming anytime soon. In fact, I don't even expect to see it on GameCube personally.

actualy, in japan animal crossing 2 is there ac 3 becase the first one in japan was for nintendo 64. and uh... yeah there is gonna be an animal crossing 2 where you could design your own furniture and stuff
They aren't sequels though. They're just remakes of the same thing with some additions. That's like saying the 10 versions of original Resident Evil out are all sequels to eachother.
