Well, it's 5:47 here in San Antonio and I have not been to sleep tonight. Mainly chatting online and playing SSB:Melee with my friend who stayed the night. He is now asleep, and I am planning to stay up untill tonight, so that I can stay on regular sleeping schuduel. I've been pulling all nighters on accident a lot lately, just losing track of time. Does anyone else pull all nighters?

Also, if you could give me ideas on something to do to keep me awake throughout the day, I would be very gratefull.

Ok, I can never get my days and nights straight. If I pull an all nighter I'll probably do it again the next night, because I'd sleep the during the day and wouldn't be tired.

And if you want to stay awake you should try keeping yourself occupied. The worst thing to do is to stay in one position. You'll fall asleep real easily. But to keep myself up one time, I had pulled out some brown paint, picked up my little baby chair and sat in it. Then I just started to paint my dresser. But if you don't want to do that, then just like draw or play a video game. Don't read because that'll put you to sleep.

Normally on long holidays my parents force me to go to bed after about a month so that my sleeping patterns don't change which is a bugger to get out of. Some advice to you guys, don't let night become day. I pull all nighters a lot and normally go for two days, sleep during the day and then going another few days. Normally things to do are easy, theres too much to do!

I constantly pull all-nighters ^____^

I usually come home from school, eat etc etc. Then take a nap between 7pm-10:30pm, then i wake up and go online until about 4am or something *twitches* I do need atleast an hour sleep before i get up at 6:40am..but thats still pretty close to an all-nighter ne? On the weekends..i just sleep during the day and im awake all night. Im nocturnal lol.

I usually just chat, lurk around OB or submit fanfiction ^__^ Some people say i have no life. Bah! THEY LIE!! O_o

I don't usually go to sleep until 3 or 4 AM. There's usually a breaking point for me, where being tired turns into me physically hurting. I try to go to sleep before that because it usually takes me days to get over it.

Hey, my 3,000th post. I'm officially a loser, officially.

My friends, you are probably talking with the All Nighter Queen. ^_^ I should make that into an avatar...but anyway. During the school year I pull an all nighter regularly (at least twice a week), with them being nightly occurrences during the summer and 48+ hour sleepless sessions happening every other day. The longest I've ever gone without sleep was almost 60 hours (that's 2 and a half days for those too tired to do the math. ~_^).

What my friends, family, and coworkers (and perhaps even yourself) wonder is: why? Do I suffer from insomnia? No. It is not because I want to sleep, but can't. I don't want to sleep. My brain is not tired. Eventually it is not my mind that gives out but my body that says "Forget you, I need to recharge," and forces me into a nearly comatose sleep. And let me tell you, I have some of the freakiest dreams after staying up 50+ hours.

What do I do? Sit at my computer and talk online. At 3 in the morning on the East coast, besides there being other night owls up and about, there is a whole other time zone just signing on looking for people to talk to. -waves to CA and WA people- You people rock!

I also play the Sims or Zoo Tycoon or some other PC game...or I play video games. I'm a lazy S.O.B ^_^ My GC controller is merely an arm's shift away from my hand. And no need to get up to turn it on: I keep it going 24 hours a day. Knock on wood it hasn't overheated, nor has it ruined any of my games yet. Actually, it runs better than my friend Chris's who has constant problems with the eye scanner thing (woa! Technical terms! ~_^) malfunctioning and errors occurring on his.

And I watch TV. Can't forget that...though at around 3 am all the info commercials start coming on (except on GameShow Network. God, I love that channel. ^_^) and there's only so many times you can watch the Miracle Food Processor turn onions, peppers and tomatoes into salsa. >_<

If you don't know: I own rats. Two of them, Snowshoe Siamese brothers if anyone cares. I play with them as they are just as nocturnal as I am and are awake at this time. I work on my web site(s), listen to music (on low so's not to wake up the house). I READ...I read the last 3/4 of Harry Potter Year 1 in one night. Same goes for books 2 through 4, with the first half of 5 in two nights and the last half in one single nightly sitting (there were complications to that which I won't go into now).

If you are really that set on staying awake, you could lay in bed with a blindfold on, listening to the Songs of Harmonious Nature with the babbling brook and bird calls, the covers pulled up to your chin, and not fall asleep. The most it would do would make you have to go to the bathroom really bad (really badly? whichever), let you memorize the mating call of a morning dove, blue jay, and robin, as well as cause you to be horribly bored.

I've written a novel here. Wee! ^_^ I've been awake since roughly 6:30 yesterday afternoon, my day has yet to begin!

Dew,whatever).Lesson 2 DONT lay down at all,as stated above keep busy.(A good use for a big mall even if ur broke, just walk through it for a couple hours). When you get to the point of grabbing people by the throat, then its time to leave the mall and try T.V,music,or anything else that can keep ur attention.

man, I used to pull all-nighters all the time back about three years ago. it was really easy during summer, since I had nothing to do. I wouldn't get to bed until at least 5 in the morning most nights. but nowadays I have trouble staying up until midnight, let alone 5. having to wake up at 7:30 every morning'll do that to ya ^_^'. it's a blessing. now I won't have to go through the first month of school in a sleeping coma because of a whacked-out summer sleeping schedule.

Here's me thinking me and Braidless Baka were the only ones to refer to staying up all night as "All-nighters' Heehee! thats so cool! people think alike! ^__^ *grins*

Eh, I haven't been sleeping well lately. Staying up until three am isn't normal, exactly, but my body clock refuses to revert to its normal schedule. >_<

I could never pull an all-nighter...I don't have the willpower.

The latest I've ever stayed up is about 1:00 AM. I've been going to sleep at about 10:00 PM and waking up about 5:30 AM for years; it's like clockwork for me (pun not intended).

Heh... did you honestly think we were? *blinks* I'd always assumed that's what everyone called them O_o *twitch twitch*

But no... any holidays I get I'm always on the internet into the wee hours... in fact, I remember once Bishie went offline for an hour so, I set my alarm clock and got up an hour later... this was at something like 4am O_o

So... what I'm saying is that all-nighters are rather common for me (or at least staying up reeeeeeally late O_o) because I am valiently fighting a battle against time differences! And I think I'm winning... O_o

Not really, I usally go to bed around 2 a.m and and get up around 1 p.m. But if really tired, I'll go to bed around midnight, and wake up around 11 a.m.

I'm usally watching T.V., reading, drawing, or painting, writing..My creative side seems to come to life during the srangest hours of the night. I've always been a night owl, besides.

Creativity seems to waken during the middle of the night, and I don't want ignore the surge, cause I'm always shocked that my work that I do at night is so much better, more provactive and mindbending, more beautiful, and so much more interesting than when I work during the day.

I guess I like the night better than the day, but why wouldn't you?
Isn't there something strangely beautiful, yet haunting about the darkness.

...Just wanted to point out...that was redundant...

Anyway...i've never pulled an all-nighter, not even at sleepovers...latest i've gone to bed at a sleepover is 4:30..then waking up around 8. At home? 2:30. But then i usually get up around eleven or so..

About your problem, Ogki, You just need to keep moving. Be awake..play video games, do whatever. Just don't sit down for very long and do nothing..you'll fall straight asleep.

I've never stayed up all night, nor have I tried to... I just don't see the point of depriving myself of sleep. Who do I have to brag to? What do I have to prove? It just wouldn't seem like an accomplishment to me.

Besides, I don't even like staying up late anymore. I don't really like being awake past 1:00, so I don't think I could manage to force myself to stay up much later.

My sleeping patterns are varied mostly because of school. On 9am starts, I have to be up by around 4:30am if I want to have everything ready by the time I leave, at 6:45am. So, that really does affect my sleeping pattern a lot.

On the holidays...that's when my sleeping pattern is most affected. I have little need to be awake at an appropriate time (except for work, which is pretty flexible), so I often stay up late. It just tends to happen that way, because I'm more of a "night person" or something.

Hey, you fall asleep easily over here. I guess my bed is comfy. That sounded quite wrong but oh well.

I'm a bit of a night owl myself, not to the extent of Jenn here, but given the right nocturnal parameters (friends, Gamecube, beer) I can stay up for a while over a weekend.

Yeah, well Alex...one, yes your bed is very comfy (no matter how wrong that sounds) and two, usually when I'm at your house I'm suffering from my body saying "must sleep, must sleep" after staying up for so freaking long. ^_^

And by "beer" I can assure you he means the root variety. ~_^

I've mostly done all nighters with friends...I have had some bad experiances with this...We played alot of RPGs and I sorrta lost coherency and started to talk as Steve Erwin providion comentary on the adventure and fellow team mates. I think it was funny...All I can say is lots and lots of soda to say up, might even help with coherency and togetherness.

I don't necessarily pull all nighters.. staying up all night turns me into a horrible, horrible person. lol.

For the past 3 months I've been going to bed at around 4.30am every night. Whilst I was still in school I'd go to bed at 5am and get up at 6.30am, I just don't like to sleep I guess. I either sit on here, sing or go out to watch the sunrise when it nears morning. I need at least an hours sleep to not be a very nasty person the next day. ^_^;

Oh, and right now it's 4.15am. Go figure. :p
