Tool - Lateralis
The White Stripes - Ball and a Biscuit (FECKING BRILLIANT!)
The Beatles - Yer Blues
Queens of the Stone Age - God is in the Radio
Powderfinger - Belter
Radiohead - There There

Yeah...all of those bands are damn good, so any of their songs would be more then enough for me.

I love TOOL, can't get enuff of them, seen them twice....will see more if I can.
Fav song is Aenima - Aenima album

2nd fav band
System of a Down
Song: Spiders from 1st album, and ATWA from Toxicity

3rd Fav would hafta hmmmm prolly be
Audioslave or Rae Against the MAhcine....its a tie..I love both

Audioslave - Show Me how to Live
RATM - Know Your Enemy (especially because of the cameo by Maynard)

other bands/songs I like

Rammstein - Engel
KoRn - Blind
Reel Big Fish - Beer - Turn the Radio Off (album)

I've lately been exploring:
Radiohead - Hail to the Thief (album), 2+2=1 (song)
Alkaline Trio - Good Mourning (album), We've Had Enough (song)
WILCO

My hip hop interests are fairly biased.....

Beastie bOys are the pioneers of "party rap", or what I'd consider to be interracially unbiased and friendly. lately DEltron 3030 or Del the Funky Homosapien (hes the rapper on Gorillaz - Clint Eastwood), and my favorite rap disc of all time is new garage from UK, The Streets! best stuff I've heard ina long time. Very good flow/beats/content/lyrical taste

Well there ya go :P

Peace

Right now I'd say my favorite band is Alice In Chains. Supposedly they're grunge, but I think they're pretty innovative, so they don't really stick in one certain genre. I mean some of their songs sound all poppy-ish, some are really heavy metal-ish, and yet some are harmonic-ish. And on. lol.

They just are really interesting, not all or one of their songs sounds exactly the same.

My favorite song of theirs is "Frogs."

It's a relatively depressing song, but I like a lot of depressing music, because I'm often depressed a lot of the time.

The song is great. The lyrics are great. The way the guitars and drums and everything all come together in the song is great. It's a long song too. I will post the lyrics in this post later.

What else..

Led Zeppelin, I suppose. I hope I don't have to go into exactly why they're so great.

Jimmy Paige is one of the best guitar players I have seen. Robert Plant is one of the more emotive vocalists I have seen. John Bonham is one of the best drummers I have seen. I mean, this band is just epic. Epic in that they are still around and still being listened to so much some twenty years later.

My favorite song of theirs? That's really hard to pin down. I like nearly all of their songs. I'd say the live version of "Stairway To Heaven," which is on How the West was Won was quite amazing. I especially loved the drawn-out, extremely awesome guitar solo in it.

Pixies are pretty wonderful too. Tony has already said what I would've said about them.

I love the lyrics to their songs; how they are so simple and poetic all at once. And their songs just have rhythm. Something you can sing along to and find harmony in and just love. "The Happening" is definitely my favorite song of theirs if I had to choose one.

I also like Nightwish from what I have heard. They remind me a lot of Evanesence. Especially in that they have a female vocalist.

I like them a whole lot more than Evanesence though. They have a more better, harmonic, way with their music. And their vocalist is equally amazing. "Over the Hills and Far Away," I like. I also like "Away," "Elvenpath," "Wanderlust," "10th Man Down," "Angels Fall First," and a whole lot more. They're the band that I recently found, so I've been listening to them a lot recently. Love them.

Hm.

Tool, of course. They have a really heavy, angry sound. They have a good guitarist, vocalist, and their lyrics are powerful. They remind me a lot of a heavier Led Zeppelin.

"Aenema," is probably my favorite song of theirs.

Queens of the Stoneage I also like; but I have not heard much of them at all, other than "No One Knows." I do hope to buy their CD soon though.

Pink Floyd. Definitely one of my favorite bands ever. Just listen to their CD, Wish You Were Here, and you will be utterly amazed. The CD is just awesome. Not the mention The Wall, that CD is amazing too. And The Darkside of The Moon.

Favorite song of theirs? Probably "Shine On You Crazy Diamond." I like all of the parts to it.

And that, I think, is enough for now. O.o

As for me, I have several favorite bands with several favorite songs. It really just depends on my mood. Currently I am on a Misfits high because I just saw them last night, but yeah:

AFI - Open Your Eyes (Dag Nasty cover), Perfect Fit, Last Caress (Misfits cover), The Last Kiss, 3 1/2, Who Knew?, A Winter's Tale, Fall Children, Of Greetings and Goodbyes, and Dancing Through Sunday. (I just took one from each album, excluding their vinyls)
Misfits - Dig Up Her Bones, She, Attitude, Die, Die, Die My Darling, Last Caress
Apocalypse Hoboken - Summer Assault, Congested, Jag Rag, Six Pack, and a Blunt, Joe Piscopo

YOU GO MITCH! Lol... Pink Floyd rocks... But my Favorite bands/songs are as follows:

Disturbed -- Believe
Mainly because I dedicate it to a certain someone who likes to lie and act like they're all punk.

Pink Floyd -- High Hopes, Learning To Fly, Shine on You Crazy Diamond, Wish You Were Here, Comfortably Numb, and finallyAnother Brick In The Wall part 2
What can I say? The melody is great, lyrics rock, and if you have ever gotten a chance to listen to them, you'll see why I love them. Roger Waters is a genious, tis all there is to it!

Metallica -- Unforgiven, Sanitarium, One, Mercyful Fate
Meh, I loved Metallica since I first heard their ...And Justice For All album, then I went out and bought every album they had out at the time (Black Album, ...And Justice For All, Load, Reload, Garage Inc., Ride The Lightning, Master Of Puppets, S&M)... Then I go and buy their new one, [St. Anger], and I am still very disappointed. They went from the world's greatest metal band to what sounds like randomly put together songs. Tsk tsk...

Godsmack -- Bad Religion
Again, what can I say? It's an awesome song and I can relate to it.

Korn -- My gift To You, Children Of The Korn, Justin, B.B.K, All in The Family
First of all, I'd like to say that Jon Davis kicked some buttox when he teamed up with Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst to do the song All In The Family. Secondly, Korn has been my third favorite band since I can remember listening to their single Freak On A Leash. Just not a lot to say about these guys, except they kick butt!

Alice Cooper/Ozzy Osbourne -- Anything. Need I say more?

...And lastly, Jpop singer Ayumi Hamasaki -- Dearest
The third ending song for the Inuyasha series and probably one of the best JPop songs out there. She's a great singer and knows how to touch anyone who listens to her.
