Sara
There was an IP ban today--I assume this is a recent problem, as he posted this weekend. It's possible Metratron's IP originates from the same area...or something like that. Happened to me once. That being said, I can't actually do anything for you, I don't think. Erhm..
James
There was no IP ban whatsoever, relating to this member. If he's an AOL user, he would have had that message (as many AOL users have been having). I've received a lot of emails regarding this issue and I can confirm that it's a problem with AOL. I don't know the nature of the problem, so I can't comment on when it will be fixed. You'll have to email AOL about that.
Epsilon
It's not only happen to AOL memebers. I have CompuServe and it's doing the same thing. The only way to not have the: Sorry. The administrator has banned your IP address. To contact the administrator click here is to use Internet Explorer. For some reasone when useing Internet Explorer it won't pop up any more. It's been happening to me and many of the people I know on OB. ----- Sorry, for sending you an e-mail about it James. I guess I should have looked in on it first, to save you some time. ^^;
Semjaza
AOL owns Compuserve, they're basically the same at this point. Any problems one has like this will more than likely be reflected in the other.
James
Okay, I assumed it was an AOL problem because every member who has come to me has said they've used AOL. But yeah, I don't know what the deal is. Hopefully it'll be cleared up soon (a lot of you seem to be able to access the site again, thankfully).
MillieFan
I have Compuserve and I'm able to enter. So I have no idea what is going on here. ^as confused as her avatar^
Transtic Nerve
You people really aught to get rid of AOL.... or Compuserve.... it's all a bunch of crap. And it's not cheap either... I can't figure out why you all use that junk. Anyway, never had the unfortunant experience with this error. Of course I'm not running AOL or any bi-product of it either. I suggest putting your money to better usage.
MillieFan
LOL, I have it because my sister has it and I borrow her PC. If I ever had money, I'd get DSL or cable access.
Ninjaman
I actually couldn't get past the home page to read the announcement until today so I was totally confused. I mean, yesterday it started happening and I read my profile and it didn't say I was banned so I thought it was a glitch or something, but then I saw that same message this morning. Luckily, I got past that message just now to read the announcement. I use Compuserve and believe me, I never really wanted it to begin with but we're poor so :p . Now I'm using Internet Explorer so I'm able to get in here now.
Justin
Yes, I'm an AOL user also, and I have this problem every now and then. I keep waiting on it to be true, lol. -Justin
SS5 Gogeta
It happened to me as well and I use AOL. I thought I was actually banned and that no one else had this problem.
