Dan Rugh
I absolutely love this band. I have liked them since they came out, but after hearing the song Sometimes I Just Go For It, I have decided that I love them. The song is all piano and it is beautiful. I bought the "new" CD Maybe Memories CD + DVD on the day it came out and have only gotten to listen to it once since last Tuesday. As I sit here one week later at 2:00 in the morning, I find myself repeating this final track over and over again. Anyone who loves piano music needs to hear this song by any means necessary. The Maybe Memories DVD has a video diary, video bios from all the band members, music videos for A Box Full of Sharp Objects, The Taste of Ink, Buried Myself Alive, and Blue and Yellow, the making of The Taste of Ink and Buried Myself Alive videos, and a live performance from the Henry Fonda Music Box Theatre (March 21, 2003). The Maybe Memories CD, on the other hand, has live versions of Maybe Memories, A Box Full of Sharp Objects, On My Own, and Say Days Ago from the self titled, debut CD. With that, there are 6 extra tracks entitled Just A Little (unreleased from the debut album), It Could Be A Good Excuse, Zero Mechanism, Bulimic (all from the home demo), Alone This Holiday (from the KROQ Christmas album), and Sometimes I Just Go For It (unreleased music for a song idea from the debut album). My other favorite The Used songs are Noise and Kisses, Blue and Yellow, and Poetic Tragedy. I know someone out there has to love this band too. Tell me.
Semjaza
I remember a few friends of mine talking about this band... Saying how good it was. This was a long while ago. I never bothered. Next thing I know, this girl I used to go out with was raving about them after their last CD came out. This is a girl who loves emo, but like the crappy kind you hear all over the radio. She only seems to like stuff when it gets popular enough to be played to death. So because of that, I was kind of turned off to them and never bothered. I guess I'll have to check them out, since you seem a lot more knowledgable about them then she ever will be lol.
Kaola Su
I love them also, it is what it is my cd player in my room and another copy of the cd is in my cd player in may car! LOL Yeah the only thing I hate about them is that I could never see them live b/c the lead singer screams so much he makes himself throw-up on stage, which I can't handle. Oh, and the 1st song on the radio by them and it is completely overplayed also, "Box of Sharp Objects". Dan, I think we have to get together off line and go to several concerts now!! We have this special music bond I think! I also am very fond of the piano's in some of their songs, as well as in several other bands also. And Semjaza I think we could b/c I almost posted at your Ozma thread but I don't know anything about them but that my ex-b/f had their cd and I like it, but I have no idea what it was called or any of the songs either. So how many cd's does the Used have out now? I *cough*burn*cough* all of mine so I don't really keep track of them. Love, Kaola

Dan Rugh
I finally watched the DVD yesterday and I must say, watching Bert throw up was quite disgusting. Well, if that's what you have to do to make amazing songs, it's ok with me. ;) Does anyone know if Bert McCracken and Kelly (bleh!)Osbourne are still dating? If I were him, I'd be throwing up a lot more often, being around her. By the way, I can't stand any of the Osbournes.
clumsymoonflowr
I got turned on to them by 'The Taste of Ink', but never got around to buying the album. There always seemed like there was something else to buy. But when the guy who lives in the basement apartment was going to toss it, I took it and LOVE it. -Ness, for me, pepper I put on my plate
Kaola Su
HAHA! Good one Dan! Yeah they are all stupid so I could see him throwing up more with her. Hasn't he been on the show a few times too? Oh, how many cd's do they have out? Love, KS
Guest Fiasco
I like this band, but I like a lot of stuff from their older cd, A Box Full Of Sharp Objects. And hey, The Used puts on an pretty good show live, you need to see them if you like them, you won't regret it. :)
Dan Rugh
They had a home demo out. (I don't have it) Then they had "The Used." Now they have "Maybe Memories CD/DVD."
