Liquid Tension Experiment

I was reading the Dream Theater thread a while back and Semjaza said this band sounded similar to Dream Theater(edit: Actually he told the person who started that Dream Theater thread to check them out.) I was a fan of Dream Theater for a while, but I never heard of this band. I decided to check it out today. I got to the record store and listened to it a little bit. Some of it kind of reminded me of Frank Zappa's later stuff. I liked it a lot actually, so I decided to buy the CD. I might even buy Liquid Tension Experiment 2 next week. I was wondering what everyone here thinks of them. Have you even heard of them?

Edit:
I had to add that I thought the song "Three Minute Warning" was incredible. I can't describe it. It was just very weird, but good at the same time.

Another Edit: I was tired when I wrote this and I left out the fact that it's a Dream Theater side project. Just thought I would add that in.

Somehow I don't find the lack of repsonses surprising.

You might as well give in and admit that Linkin Park is the best band ever and totally original despite bands doing the same stuff better for over a decade before they even existed. Then you'll get some responses.

Anyway, I'm glad to hear that you checked them out. Definitely worth the time.
