But as a banner it worked really well. Even if it dosen't have text. ^^ I like it, Broil is a really cool character and great to use. It really dose look great. The way the boarder is great too, I like it. Great job. Edit- Ok, I've seen the pic, before you changed it. I can't belive you were able to do that in such a short time. The banner and the pic look realy, really, REALLY, differnt. -.- I'm so bad at banners, it would have took me a few days just to change the original pic like the way you did. The text is intresting, never really seem other banners with that kinda text before. Anyways I like it, fits well together. DarK DeatH Posted August 2, 2003 Share Posted August 2, 2003 Brolli banner: I don't like the colors and the contrast of it. It has a very weak contrast and it wasn't supposed to be dark like that. Brolli banner 2: The text made it better and worse at the same time. The text doesn't fit, that's why it made it worse, and the quote is nice and it's placed on the right place, that's what makes it better. It doesn't take too long to make it look good, all you gotta do is try out different fonts and play around with them. Also, use pixel fonts. Those are good too sometimes. I can't help you on your font problem because I don't know what you like and dislike. All you can do is go to a font site and sit there and look through them until you find the ones you like the best. Again I can't give you a list of good fonts to use, because good fonts to me might suck to you. I dunno. The "wanderer" banner is very unique with the flames and all in the background. The only thing I dont like is that I think that the font is a little out of place, I think you could have found a better fit. And also, the Brolli one, I think you could have added something toi make it a little more... unique I guess. Its a little too plain for my taste. twixy Posted August 2, 2003 Share Posted August 2, 2003 umm i just started making banners and i've really enjoyed the ones i've seen of yours. as for font, it's a really big part of the over all composition. and although font can be plain there's all kinds of things you can do in paintshop with blending and eyecandies. [url=http://www.dafont.com/][/url] that's a good free font site. then you simply click the download link of the font you like. they'll download using winzip. when you extract the ttf files: click extract click local disk (C:/) click WINNT click font and extract to that file. now you have a new font. :babble: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

In the flames it looks like there is a tree in the b/g that is on fire. Maybe it is...I dunno! But good job! I like the picture you used of Kenshin a lot. It reminds me of the Samurai X movie [spoiler]when he burns his and Tomoe's house down after he accidentally kills her.[/spoiler] Stu was having a lot of problems with this one.
