Guest Fiasco
This CD, is incredible. It's just like good ol' Thrice. The first thing that I reconized from the CD cover itself is that the idea of how to give the lyrics and portray images and writing. I love that idea, it's great, and I don't think I've ever seen it before in a CD case. But I was dissapointed that the lyrics weren't in order, although I ordered them myself, but I'm lazy, haha, it would have been so much easier if it was just in order from the start. :) The lyrics from this CD is really great, it's got so much meaning, although Dustin Kersue [lead singer] may say it in an odd way, it's still got great meaning. From an instrumental stand point, Thrice has got to be one of the most talented bands I've heard. I mean, the guitar riffs that they play are insane, and although unless you've got the ear for it, or can just hear it, the bass parts are incredible. I play bass, and I'm pretty good, and I just have to say that the bass parts for some of the songs on TAITA are really hard, because I kind of have the ear, and I was able to try out some parts of the song and it was HARD. Also, I love how during Stare At The Sun [Track 5] and Paper Tiger [Track 6] intertwine together it seems as though it's one song, but watch your timer carefully, you'll see the switch. And it happens a few other times but this one just seem to stand out above all others. My favorite songs from the CD are Paper Tigers and Blood Clots And Black Holes. I love the chorus parts in Paper Tigers and I just love the overall quality of Blood Clots And Black Holes. Overall, this CD is just great, I like it, it will be a definate keeper in my CD player for awhile. Now I really can't wait to see Thrice at Warped Tour. It's almost here....The 26th, 4 days...:)
Dan Rugh
I was going to go buy it today, but I fell asleep and forgot. I'll edit this post tomorrow when I buy it. I'm glad you say it's awesome though, because the single they have out now sounds more TV friendly than their other music. :)

If you bought the Warped Tour Complation CD you could hear Thrice's original single, Under A Killing Moon, which is much more like Thrice. :)
Kaola Su
I like them okay, but honestly, and as much as I hate the damn word, they are too much scr-emo for me, as well as Zao (I saw a thread about the a second ago also) Some of their songs are okay but I don't think I would buy, much less burn the cd. So do they scream a lot on this new cd of theirs? Love, Kaola
Dan Rugh
Actually, I think they scream a little more on this CD. I bought it, by the way, and didn't feel like editing my other post. I really like "Under a Killing Moon" and, surprisingly, "All That's Left" has really grown on me. I need to listen to the CD more to really say anything intelligent about it. So....... *puts in CD*
Guest Fiasco
Well, it's just a natural progression of a band, each band changes over the time differently. For example, look at AFI, their sound matured over the years. Looks like Thrice is maturing too, and they are screaming more because it fit more, if you read the details for each song, it'll tell you why they have some of the stuff. But you know, you'll get used to the screaming, personally, I LOVE the screaming. That's why my 2 favorite bands scream throughout all of their songs, never letting down. :) But, they ARE screaming more then Illusion Of Safety. But not more than Identity Crisis. Identity Crisis was a mix, I swear, I mean look at songs like Phoenix Ignition and then listen to Ultra Blue. It's weird, their sound changed in a lot of the songs in IC, so it was difficult to tell, but when IOS came out, you could tell. So a bit more screaming came with TAITA, I mean, it's just progression, they screamed in IOS and they'll probably scream in TAITA, like they do. :)
