Kitty
Kitty and Alexzander walk through a long hallway. Kitty: How big is your house? I think we've been walking for at least 20 minutes. Alex: I keep long hallways for special reasons. Ah, here we are! Kitty and Alex walk through two huge doors. Kitty stops in her tracks, her mouth gaping. Kitty: T-this i-is all yours?! There's got to be at least a hundred, no, two hundred things from medieval Japan! This is so awesome! Alex: Would you like some? Kitty: You'd be willing to just give them away? Cool! I'll take that, those, and those please! Alex took a katana, some throwing knives, and a bow with some arrows off the wall of Japanese weaponry. Kitty was so happy she almost forgot to ask Alex a burning question. Kitty: Why are you giving these to me? Is there a catch or something? If it's money I'm afraid I don't have much, but I- Alex: It isn't money. I'm afraid a hidden organization is ploting to threaten the world. I need you to stop it. Kitty: Why me? I can't do it alone! What's so special about me!? All I know how to do is use a sword on a pillow, I can't hurt any- Alex: I know. You are going to have some help from some others along the way. I've already met with them and given them weapons. If you would like I could call them here. If not I'll just let you find them on your own. Kitty: I'll find 'em on my own. This is so exciting, but I've got so many butterflies in my stomach! Ugghh... Hey, where'd Max go? Alex: I gave him a ride home. Well, good luck. With that, Kitty left the huge mansion behind her. She couldn't wait to meet the others. She took her bike and rode in the opposite direction of home. I wonder if I'll be any help to Alex. I hope this isn't a joke! Ohhh... I know I can do this. I'll downtown and practice on my tree again. This is going to be a long day. Kitty rode off towards her hidden hideout. __________________________________________ Okay, if anyone objects to having Alexzander give you your weapons, that's okay. And by the way, my "tree" is something that Kitty trains on (it isn't a real tree) hidden to look like a tree so no one takes it. Kitty uses arrows on a real tree and hides in a house next to the tree. Don't ask how she did all this. It's a LONG story....
Dragon Warrior
Okay, milady. I shall start now ^^ ------------- The sound of plates smashing to the floor echoed throughout the room as a waiter looked down at the tray he dropped. There was clapping and laughing and one man said over all, "Nice job! I hope that wasn't my food!" Sether swirled his drink around, the toothpick in it spinning redundantly through his alchohol. He lifted the glass to hs mouth and finished the drink in a quick swig. The bartender approached the spot where Sether sat at the bar and gave a stern look. "Are you sure you're 21 or over?" Sether looked up from the counter just enough to give a stare to put the bartender in his place. "Don't I look it?" "Not especially. I think I may have to verify that license of yours." Sether sighed and sat up straight so he could reach into his pocket and pull out his wallet. He revealed the license and handed it to the barkeep. He left with the laminated paper and Sether went back to his normal state and listened in on people talking. "And so then the kid started to run," one man was saying behind Sether. "I just grabbed his shirt and he was finished. he was just bawling and bawling and I just laugehd and tossed him to the ground. i don't even think he knew the money was missing!" The crowd around that table burst into laughter. Actually, most of the whole bar heard the story and laughed. Except Sether. "You find that funny, you slime?" Sether said without turning towards them or lifting his head. The laughter stopped and the man who told the story got up from his chair. "You say somethin', punk?" "I said, you find that funny?" "Yeah, I do. You wanna make somethin' of it, tough guy?" "Not really." "That's right, you don't. I'm the tough guy around here and you don't mess with me." "This must be a pretty weak area if the toughest guy around traps little kids for their lunch money." "I think you do wanna go." The man started to advance on Sether until he was behind him. "I said, I don't want to fight." "You are all talk, but you seem chicken." "No. That's not it." "Oh really?" The man laughed and turned towards his friends who immediately laughed as well when they saw him look. "Then, uh... what is the reason, tough guy?" "Well, I don't want to mess up this counter with your blood." "Haha. You think you could beat me?" "Yes." "And how would you pull that off?" Sether cleared his throat, still not facing the man. "I would first grab your fist that would fly at the back of my head. I'd then flip you over the counter. Your friend over there in the leather jacket would advance on me, whom I'd just hit the cigarette tray here and shoot ash in his eyes. He'd then fall over and break the table, taking down three other guys." The men laughed, but Sether continued. "The big bald guy would then try to strangle me, but I'd kick my stool out from under me and knock him over, slamming his chin on the metal of the counter. You'd then try to harm me, still on the counter and I'd simply slam your head down onto my drink, breaking glass into your face and you'd fall down bawling." The man laughed. "That's crazy." "Wanna test it?" "Let's get him!" They started to go at Sether. Like he said, Sether caught the punch, tossed the man onto the table. He then shot the ash into the leather jacket guy's eyes whom fell onto a table knocking over three people. The bald man then was knocked over and hit his head on the counter, loosing four teeth. The man on the counter got angry, but had a face full of glass in less than second. They were all on the floor crying. He did this all when still not moving from his stance. The barkeep reentered, looking at the license angrily. "This is a fak--" He then noticed all the people hurt on the floor and the man on the ground behind his counter. Looking up from all this, Sether was gone.
Kitty
As Kitty aproached her hideout, she skidded to a stop at the sight of many men being carried out in an ambulance from a bar. Kitty: I've always hated those men. It was about time they got what they deserved! Kitty begins riding away again. She stops at a diner because she hasn't eaten in several hours. She walks in and notices that she is the youngest person there. This doesn't bother her though as she keeps walking. A man asks her what she wants to eat. Kitty: Give me a burger and I'll be on my way. Clerk: Yes ma'am. It'll be a few minutes, though. Kitty: That will be fine. Man: You seem to young to be comfortable in here. Why are you here. Kitty ignores him and starts looking at a bird outside the window. Her gaze becomes fuzzy and she notices that the man had a gun. Man: I'd like you to leave. You shouldn't be here. This is my final warning. Kitty: Why? I'm not doin' anything wrong. You should be leaving. Why would your opinion matter to me at all, anyway? What is it with you people? Clerk: Ma'am, your burger. He hands over the burger and Kitty takes a bite. Then she takes off the bun and shoves it in the man's face. Kitty: I didn't do anything wrong. Why would you care about me being in here? Answer my questions. Man: I hear that you have been causing trouble lately. The man wipes everything off her face and notices that Kitty is walking away. He grabs Kitty's shoulder, and Kitty instantly takes a knife and sticks it in his hand. The man screams. Kitty: Don't touch me. I didn't do anything to you. Now just bug off. The man reaches for his gun, but Kitty takes out another knife and sticks it in his arm. Kitty's gaze goes to a cat who is now feeding her baby. Kitty: I ought to give you to that cat out there. At least then you'd have a purpose. The man drops to the floor. Kitty removes her knives and walks out calmly. She wondered why the man had been so rude. Kitty: He deserved that. At least he isn't dead, or he isn't yet. Hmmm... Killing seems so wrong. But it's kinda fun... I should try it more often. Kitty walks across the street and picks up her bike. She suddenly throws it at the diner, breaking the window and showering men with glass. Kitty just relealizes why the man had picked on her. She was the only girl there. Dragon Warrior
After the bar incident, Sether had left and hid in an alley. Not because he was scared, but so he could wait. Wait for his quarry. Being a bounty hunter, he had to plan against the schedule of the victim. He knew just when they would be passing from a little help from the common street folk. The street light's bulb dimmed, then flickered and finally went out. He was in complete darkness, ready to pounce his prey. He heard footsteps and peeked around the corner. The figure approaching appeared to have the outline of who he was after, but he felt terribly wrong when he jumped the wrong person and noticed he did a knock out move on an old lady. Pushing her aside into the shadows, he waited once more. It was about 20 minutes later when the old lady finally awoke and sturred. Sether, though feeling bad for doing it, didn't want to get caught and smacked the woman over the head with a garbage can lid, knocking her unconcious again. He just hoped to God she wasn't going to die or go into a coma. It was around that time his quarry finally arrived. A little later than usual. She must've made a pit stop or something, he assumed. When she came to his alleyway, he jumped her and tossed her to the ground. Using the move he did on the granny, he knocked her out with a pinch and took her over his shoulder. He usually does kill the quarry, but this time he got to take her with him. He was suppose to kill her later on the next day. So he took the girl away, leaving the grandma unconscious. Though, the girl was knocked out, she mumbled in her sleep something about a man named Alexander and then Max. Sether finally made it back to his apartment. After literally dragging the girl up the stairs to his room, he tossed her on the couch. He was feeling good when suddenly he realized something. He never really saw what she looked like. He wasn't sure if she was the right one. He turned her over on his stomach and reached into his back pocket. He reluctantly pulled out a license and read the name "Kitty". He almost dropped there. "Oh my God, I can't believe I've got teh wrong person! What to do!" As if on cue, Kitty sturred and Sether turned to her in dripping sweat. She was awake and wasn't too thrilled to be there. Kitty
Kitty: Who the hell are you!? Kitty did a small flip out of his grasp and kicked his face in the process. He now had a big mark on his face. Kitty: Answer me! Sether: I-I meant to get someone else. I got you by accident. You've got to leave. I don't want to hurt you. Kitty: I doubt you'd lay a finger on me! Give back my license!! Kitty ran towards him, Sethar easily dodged her by jumping to the left. But Kitty followed him with ease and took out a knife. She aimed for his arms but only scratched his shoulder. Sethar: Okay, now I know you aren't ordinary. No one can touch me in a fight. How did you? Kitty didn't respond. She just stood there. She took out something, but Sethar couldn't see. It was too dark in the hallway. Kitty started running towards him again. Sethar stood in place this time. He was prepared for the knives, but not for a sword. Kitty: Take this you jerk! Kitty slashed his other arm. But on her second swipe, Sethar caught the blade. He took it and threw it behind him. Now he was angry. He took out his sword. Kitty suddenly jumped over him and grabed her sword, and came charging again. This time Sethar left a mark. Not a big scratch, but enough to slow Kitty down. She dropped her sword and looked at Sethar. Kitty: What's your name? Sethar: Why do you want to know? Kitty: Okay then. Do you know a man by the name of Alexzander? Sethar stared. He knew now that Kitty was not just a girl, but someone with a lot of talent.
Dragon Warrior
OOC: yeesh. Way to make yourself sound good, milady XD ------------- Sether sheathed his sword into it's scabbard and looked at her puzzlingly. She stared back and after a minute, she broke the silence. "What are you staring at? And answer my question!" She kicked him and he jumped to an awake mode. "What?" he said startled. Then he saw her angry expression and remembered her question. "Uh... yeah. Why? Do you know him?" Her face seemed to become more gentle and she even smiled a bit. "Yes. You could say I do. Did you get that sword from him?" "What is this? Twenty Questions? Shoo! Go on! I don't want you here!" She rose a knife at his face. "Answer me." He sighed and pushed the knife away gently with his palm. "Okay, yes. I got it from him. So what's it to you?" She nearly leapt into the air. "Yes! I've found one." "Eh?" She almost hugged Sether she was so happy. He reluctantly backed away in time. "Alex gave you that sword so that must mean we are partners!" "Woah, woah, woah. What, lady? Listen, I don't partner up with anyone." "But you must." Her voice seemed to die with her smile. "I'm a bounty hunter. I kill for money. I'm not someone you should be hanging out with. Now I'd appreciate it if you'd leave." He started for the door, but she whimpered. "Hey! Don't go! We were meant to fight along side and all that stuff!" He didn't turn his back, but opened the door and walked out into the hallway. "I want to see you gone by the time I get back." "Where are you going?" "To catch the real quarry. Now shoo." "But I don't know how to get back home from here." Sether sighed and turned back to her. She may have looked threatening, but he saw deep inside, she was worried. And hyper because she danced around lik a woodland elf. "Fine. Stay here. I'll be back in an hour or so." He mumbled something as he closed the door behind himself. Kitty stared at the door for about two minutes then collapsed on the couch, wiped out. Kitty
Thanks to you as well, sir knight! ------ Kitty: Damn him. This isn't fair... Kitty looked out the window and saw a bunch of birds flying by. Kitty: Birds are so lucky. I wish I could fly. After half an hour, like Sethar said, he came back with another girl knocked out. He put her next to Kitty. She noticed that the girl was from her school, but Kitty didn't go anymore. She turned back to watch the birds flying happily. Sethar: Okay, where do you live? Kitty wasn't paying any attention. Sethar: Hello?? Listen lady! I don't want to babysit you! Kitty: Huh... Oh!! Um, well, all I know is that it's 20 miles from that bar you kidnapped me from. Sethar: Well that would be- Hey!?! You think I purposly got you instead of her?! Sethar pointed at the girl laying on the couch. Kitty: Well I didn't come here willfully, now did I? Sethar: Well I- No, wait you're right. But lets get you home before your mommy calls the cops. Kitty: I don't have a.. mom.... Sethar looked at Kitty who was now staring at the birds again with a sad face. She looked as if she would cry. Sethar: Wow! Hey! Don't go all teary on me!! Kitty: I haven't cried in 17 years. I won't do it again... Kitty got up and walked out of the room. Sethar: Girls... geez. Well, that bounty will be enough to get me some good stuff! Kitty was now on the sidewalk looking at a bird on the ground. She picked it up and decided to bring it home with her. Kitty: You shouldn't be stuck on the ground with me. I'll help you as soon as we get to my home, okay little fella? Sethar was looking out the window. Sethar: That girl is strange. One minute she's tryin' to kill me, the next she's helping a defensless bird. On what I've seen her do, she should've killed it. Man! Girls are so weird! Dragon Warrior
Sether retired to his kitchen to cook up a snack. He hadn't eaten in a good while because of the mix up with the old lady, Kitty, and finally capturing the right one. Speaking of her, she began to wake up and Sether immediately pounded her over the head into unconsciousness. He looked at the pan he used to thwack and shrugged. He then used it to fry his eggs. Kitty walked along with the bird perched on her shoulder when a group of men walked out of the shadows. The sun was partly up by now, but the area was still dark and creepy. These guys looked like trouble. "Hey, little girly girl," one said while waving at Kitty. "You all lost and alone?" "Haha! Yeah!" another one jumped in. He was ugly as hell and seemed to stink badly too. "She needs Uncle Shanker to keep her company." A shorter one popped up behind a fat guy and shook his head. "Man, Shanker, you be talkin' nonsense again. If she wanted any of us, she'd want me. In fact, I know she wants me." The little man peered over at Kitty and winked. Kitty turned her head in disgust. "No matter," said the first man. "She's ours now. Come herem girly girl." "Back off, ya jerks!" She took out her knife and swung it around threateningly. "Haha! The girly thinks a small dagger could hurt us." "Yo, shut up, Shanker. Just get her." The little man watched with peircing eyes as Shanker advanced on Kitty. He fell to the ground in a second with a wound across his face. he was alive, but in serious pain. "Yo, Shanker, waht happened?" The little man nodded to the first man who charged Kitty. She dodged his punch and kicked him where it hurts. "Take that, slimeball!" "Man, that girl's got some class." The little man tapped the big man's knees. The fat man stepped up from behind his master. It was obvious by now the little man was the leader. "I'll take care of the girly girl, boss," the big man said, cracking his knuckles. "Don't harm her too much," the leader warned. "I want her after we're finished." The big man approached Kitty, but he stabbed the guy in the gut with her knife. She grinned with success, but found an unpleasant surprise. The man laughed and pushed her knife away with his gut. "You can't harm me, little girly girl. I'm too hefty." He laughed again and there was a sudden call from above. The big man fell like a tree and the whole ground shook. His whole side had a huge gash in it where Sether's mighty sword penetrated. "Who the hell are you?" the small leader shouted. "The rescuer." He beamed at Kitty. She glared. "I didn't need your help!" she protested. "Yeah yeah." The little man charged, but stopped short as the two of them shouted at one another. "You needed me and you know it." "I have a sword too, ya know." "Whatever. Admit it." "I won't!" "Umm... excuse me..." the small man interrupted. Kitty just kicked him aside and he flew into the wall, knocked out. "And I don't lik-hey... wait... why did you come and rescue me?" Sether seemed to blush. "Well... uh... it's that.." he scratched the back of his head. "I thought about what you said. That we were destined to fight along side..." "Yeah?" she urged on. "Well, we just did." Kitty paused for a moment, then a smile crossed her face. "Yes, I suppose we did." "So... umm... I was thinking... you know... that this could work..." "You wanna fight with me?" "Uh... yeah." "Great!" "Heh. Okay." He grinned. Kitty held out a hand. "Partners?" "Partners." Sether grasped the open hand and shook, sealing the deal. Kitty
Kitty, who still had the bird on her shoulder, walked away from Sethar and towards her home. Sethar: What is in your home, anyway? Any people? Any pets? Anything? You seem kinda alone. Kitty: I have Max. My little brother. I also have Niki. My cat. Sethar: Won't your cat eat that bird? Kitty: No. Only if I tell her to. My cat listens only to me. Sethar: Wait, you said your home was 20 miles from that bar, right? What were you doin' 20 miles from your home? Kitty: I was going to my hide out. Oh yeah! That's only 2 blocks from here! Later Sethar! With that, Kitty ran in the opposite direction she was going. She turned and waved, and began running. Sethar waved back with an odd look on his face. Sethar: She's an odd ball alright. Hmph. It's kinda cu- No, never mind! Grr, I could KILL myself if I said that!! Sethar began talking to himself about what he would do if he called Kitty's weird behavior cute. Meanwhile, Kitty had reached her hideout. It was a small building that had been abondend. Oddly enough, the house was in nearly perfect condition. Next to it was a tree with a treehouse in it, and behind it was a big brick wall. Kitty: That Sethar is really strange. I wonder if he knows anymore people hired by Alex? Hmm... I'm tired. Oh! Hey little guy! You need a bandage. You look exhausted!! Kitty rumaged the building and found a tounge depresser and some cloth and thin duck tape. She made a splint for the bird and put it in a basket. She took it into the bedroom and put it next to the bed. Then she layed down and quickly fell asleep. ---------- Sorry if anything's wrong with my part! Dragon Warrior
It's it all good milady... *mumbles something about "cuteness"* ------------- Sether returned to his apartment right after Kitty's leave. He stuck the key into the lock and and opened the door. There was a man standing next to his couch, the girl on the couch long dead. "Wha--what happened?" Sether staggered over to the couch and looked at the man. "I thought I'd take the girl out for ice cream." the man said sarcasticly. "I killed her, you fool! You were an idiot and didn't kill her. It's like, 10 in the morning." Sether looked at his watched and almost jumped. "Oh my God... I must've lost track of time. I'm sorry, Lar--" "Eh, eh, eh," the man said, waving an index finger at Sether's face. "No 'I'm sorry Larry' this time, Sether. You owe me now and I can't keep taking it out of you by money or priceless items. I'm a man of my honor, you know." Sether blew air up from his mouth and move his bangs out of his eyes. "I never asked you to help." "Well, if I didn't, they'd come here and kill you. Do you want that? You wanna be dead, Sether?" Sether gradually put his hand onto his sword's hilt unknowningly, but kept his eye on Larry. "What do you want, Larry?" "Not money, Sether," Larry said, walking to the window that Kitty once looked out. "Not jewels, not women, not money. I'm afraid this time, it'll cost ya." "Like?" Larry sighed and turned around and nodded. Sether followed Larry's gaze to behind him. There stood a group of men. "Wha--what is this?" Larry walked over to Sether and grabbed his arm. "I'm sorry it has to be like this, Sether." He pulled Sether's shirt sleeve up and one of the men flashed a knife. "You're not gonna..." "Oh yes," Larry said with a partial grin. "We're taking it out of your flesh." Sether watched the man advance with the knife, grinning a not so toothy grin. Sether didn't stand for it. He quickly tossed Larry over his head into the man and they collapsed into the group. Sether then leapt out his window, down the 3 stories, landed and ran off. Larry peered out the window and smiled. "He'll be back." With that, he nodded and the men left the room. Larry took the dead girl over his shoulder and then picked up a card on the floor. He looked it over and read the name. "Kitty." he said out loud. "Hm. wonder what this is doing here... maybe another quarry." He pocketed the license and walked out the door. He carefully looked around the room and closed the door quietly, not to wake the neighbors.
Kitty
Sethar: Kitty! Wake up! Kitty: Huh-what? Hey! What are you doing here? Sethar: Look, people are after me, can I stay with you? Kitty: No where else to go? It's 11 AM! I'm going back to bed. Sethar: But what about me? What am I gonna do? Kitty: Sleep on the couch or somethin'. Sethar walked away from the door and saw a couch. I can't fall asleep now. What if they find me here? Kitty suddenly walked out of the room and went in the kitchen. Sethar nearly jumped when she yelled at him to come too. Sethar: Why aren't you asleep? Kitty: You. Anyway, whadda want for breakfast? We've got waffles, cereal and muffins. Sethar: I'm not hungry. I just needed- Kitty: Then why are you here? First you disturb my sleep, then you reject breakfast? What's next, you staying here for weeks on end? Sethar: Actually, that's exactly it... Heh heh... Kitty stared. Apparently she was too sleepy to remember that she hated company and then she started walking towards her room. Sethar: Hey! Well? Kitty: Sure.. fine.. whatever. Hey little fella! You awake? Sethar: What now? Of course I'm aw- Kitty: Not you, idiot. The bird. I fixed up his wing, his chest, and his tail, but that's it. He still seems fairly upset. Sethar: Oh. How long you gonna keep 'im? Dragon Warrior
Sether sighed and turned on the TV, but didn't stick around the area to watch. Instead he wandered the house. Kitty stayed on the couch watching shows, but kept an eye on Sether, just in case he messed with anything. Sether walked into an empty bedroom. The floor was cluddered with planks and other such pieces of wood. Stepping ever so carefully over these, he made it to the closest. Opening the doors, he saw darkness. Rats and bugs scurried away, shunning the sudden brightness. He reached a hand up and pulled the light chain. The small bulb that hung from the ceiling beamed and let off a soft glow. He looked around. Nothing really, but wood. Then he saw a box up on the top shelf. He peered at it curiously. Then, without thinking, he grabbed for it, only to find a knife zip past his head and into the closest wall. "Stay away from that!" He turned to see Kitty standing in the doorway angrily. "You didn't have to toss a knife at me!" "Well, someone how to discipline you somehow." "I'm not a dog, ya know." "Well, you act like one!" They both glared intently, then Sether slammed the door closed and they both left the room. Though he forgot about it shortly after, Sether still wondered what Kitty hid in that box. ----------- La la la la :)
Kitty
Kitty went back to the couch. She never thought anyone would look there, that's why she hid it there. Dragon Warrior
It was about late afternoon by the time Sether found it safe to approach the outside world. He slowly opened the door to the hideout, peering out, then walked onto the pavement and looked around. It was clear. "So, who's chasing you now?" Sether turned to see Kitty in the doorway, giving him that threatening look again. "Oh... umm... just some guys. That's all." "Some guys, huh?" She gave him another look. "They must've been some guys. You were scared silly." "I was not!" "Oh, yes you were. You came crawling to me." "I was standing." "Same thing. It's an expression." She walked over to him and stared him in the eyes. "So what are you going to do now?" "Try to find another place to go. I seem to not be able to stay in this city anymore. If I do. It'd mean death... or loss of skin." "What?" "Nothing." Sether started down the road. "Hey, listen," he called back, not turning, but kept walking. "Thanks for the shelter. I needed it to lose 'em. I'll see ya around, maybe. Later!" "Wait..." she said at almost a dying voice. But she just let him leave. Returning to the inside of her house, she tended to Timer. And Sether continued down the path. Being crafty as he was, he managed to bag a motorcycle from one of his only friends left in the ill-gotten town. He bid farewell and rode off out of the city, maybe not to be seen again. ----- wee :)

Dragon Warrior
You miss him XD ---------------------- Sether camped that night out in the wilderness. The spot he was at was already a camping area for a man named Jumpy Joe. The reason he was named that was because he twitched a lot. Go figure. The food wasn't that great. By all means, it was just beans. But Sether had to deal since he didn't have any other food to munch. Joe was nice enough to let him camp there and eat the food Joe brought for himself. Like Sether, Joe was a loner. "So, you ran away from home, little fella?" Joe asked, scooping the last bit of beans from his can. He was decently old. Maybe, about 70. He had a white beard and didn't seem to have any shoes or socks. His clothes were a bit ragged and he seemed poor which made Sether feel bad for eating his food, but Joe insisted. "Nah. Well... sort of... trouble back in the city. I had to vacate." "Ah, yep yep," Joe replied, rocking back and forth on the ground. He waved a piece of white bread at Sether. "I've ran away just like you, once." "Ya did?" "Oh yeah! Back in my day, of course. Life was much tougher then. You couldn't get food like you are now so easily." Sether looked at his apple and frowned. "No worries. I can spare some food. I'll be on my way to the town Carra soon anyways." "Carra? Where's this town?" "Oh, I'd say about 60 miles from here. It wouldn't take too long on foot. It's just through the forest here and up those hills. You'll be there by... I'd say... 5 days." "Great. I think I'll go there." "Ah, good. Glad to hear you've got a place to go now." "Why don't we travel together?" Sether grinned. "Nah. I've actually been thinkin' not to go there." Sether frowned again. "Oh." "Don't worry. You'll probably meet someone along the way and it won't be so lonely." "Heh, yeah." Sether said. He tossed down his apple core and laid back. "Time for some shut eye," Joe said, yawning and laying down on his blanket. Good night, lad." "Good night." Sether stayed awake, just lying on his blanket as Joe slept. He looked up at the stars and watched them twinkle. He then thought of Kitty. After all, he did leave her behind all of a sudden. He then wished she would've come along. He may never see her again. Kitty
You miss her! XD ~~~~~~~~ Kitty: I guess I should start heading to the nearest city... This place is getting to weird. Hey Timer. You wanna come? Timer: Chirp chirp! Kitty: Good. I'll need some company. The nearest city is... hmm... Oh! I know! It's called Carra! It's about 73 miles from here. I hope that Carra has nicer people in it. I'd better call Max. Kitty went over to the phone and called her home. Max picked up. In the background, Kitty could here voices of Max's friends and the music and sound effects of a video game. She told him where she was going, and then she headed off towards Carra with Timer on her shoulder. Kitty: We'll need to get there soon. I'll steal something. It shouldn't be that hard. Kitty saw a blue camaro with unlocked doors. She hopped in and noticed that there were no keys. No problem. I'll just do what I did in the old days. Good ol' car jumpin'. After 10 seconds, the car was up and running. Kitty headed off towards Carra, Timer chirping happily in the backseat. --------- Ha ha! ;)
Dragon Warrior
Thief! Thief! ---------------- It was probably about 7:30 am when Sether awoke and started off down the trail to Carra. Jumpy Joe was still asleep or at least he seemed to be. "Good luck, kid," he said low with a grin and closed his eyes and slumbered back to sleep. Sether wandered through the forests, not really sure where he was going. He stopped by a river and washed off his face. He choked on some water, being the fool he is, and stood up to clear the water from his eyes. The sun shown through the canopy and felt good with the cool breeze that whisked through the trees. He looked up and when he peered down again, he saw a woman. She was approaching him. He didn't get a good look until she was close to him. She was tall and slender, with long black hair that cascaded down her shoulders and back. She was quite beautiful, actually. She was dressed for adventure. She came up to him. "Hey, do you know which way Carra is?" "Carra?" Sether managed to sputter. "Uh... no. Actually... I'm looking for her to--I mean it! I'm looking for it too." "Well, darn. I have this map, but I'm not too good with them." Sether peered down at the paper she pulled out of her pack. "Let me see. I'm good with maps." He examined it over and finally beamed a smile. "Ah. We are here. See? We have to go Northwest here and then go North a little more and we'll hit the mountains." "Oh great!" she said excitedly. "Thank you so much." She smiled at him and took back the map. "My name's Eve." She held out a hand and Sether gladly grasped it for a good firm shake. "I'm bounty hunter and I'm a Sether. I mean--I'm Sether and I'm a bounty hunter. Er... well... I was. I might be getting out of the business." "Oh, I see." She grinned again and fiddled with her bag. "Well, nice to meet you, Sether. Thank you for helping me." "Glad to." "I guess... I'll see you around." She smiled one more time and began down the path Sether pointed out. Sether stood for a moment, but funally called out to her. "Uh... wait!" She turned and smirked. "Yeah?" "I was hoping we could travel... together. I mean.. that is... because I don't have a map and you do and I... and..." She laughed softly and nodded. "Sure. You can come." Sether smiled and ran to her side. "Great. Let's go." And so they were off.
Kitty
OOC: Are you Eve, too? There is no one else signed up as Eve. I'll allow it if she is going to be a villan. ------- IC: After about 2 and a half hours, Kitty and Timer make it to Carra. Kitty: Wow. This place ain't half bad! I gotta get me a place to stay. How 'bout that hotel Timer? Timer: Chirp chirp!! Kitty: Alright! Let's first get some money. But how? Just then, a couple of drunk men walked out of a bar. One saw Kitty and walked(stumbled) over to her. Man: Hey there girl. Wanna hang out wit a *hic-hic* REAL man? Kitty: I'll pass. Man: Awww... Come on! Just for ol' *hic* drink here! Kitty: Okay... Well, you probably won't have much, but I think I'll take your money. Man: Okey-dokey then.... Snore! The man fell asleep on his feet, while his buddies walked back into the bar. Kitty kicked him to the floor and took out his money. To her surprise, he had about 200 bucks. Kitty: Man! This guy was going to drink himself to death! Good thing I got his money before anyone else. Heh heh. Kitty put her new money in her pocket and walked into the hotel. She ordered a small room for only 80 bucks a night. Kitty put timer on her bedside table and sat on the bed. Kitty: I'll have to get more money if I wanna stay here for more than two nights. Hmm... I wonder how Sethar's doin'? When Kitty finally fell asleep, it was already 5 am. She woke up at 10 and watched Timer try to fly. She looked out the window and saw more birds. Kitty: Soon Timer, you'll be back in the sky with them. I wish I could join you. Oh well... Timer: Chirp... Kitty then went down to breakfast with Timer chirping on her shoulder.
Dragon Warrior
Mehhh ----------- Finally making it to the mountain?s base, Eve and Sether looked up at the peak and saw it was most likely about 1300 to 2000 feet up there. Sether frowned, but Eve carried on and start to go up the mountain?s path. ?Come on, you slow poke,? she turned and grinned back at Sether. ?Yeah. Coming.? He said to her, but kept his eyes on the peak. They climbed for about 10 minutes before Sether realized it wasn?t that hard. It was, afterall, just a trail up a mountain. Not even steep? much. ?Could you check the map, Sethy?? she asked sweetly. ?Sethy?? Sether replied with a shock. ?Oh, you want me to call you Sether?? ?Uh.. No. No, Sethy?s fine. Whatever you wanna call me. I don?t care.? She grinned and pushed his bag toward him. He reached in and grabbed the map from it?s compartment. He handed her bag back and examined the paper. It looked as if it was changing. The ink was running all around. Then Sether felt a raindrop on his head. ?Oh no!? ?What?? Eve turned around worryingly. ?The rain has washed away the ink!? ?Oh dear!? She leapt back down to where Sether stood and retrieved the map from his hands and shoved it in her bag. ?No reason to get it fully ruined, right?? ?Yeah.? ?Well, I?m sure the trail leads us to the other side so let?s follow it until we get to the end, then we start worrying about where to go next.? They started off. Sether had to admire Eve. Not a care in the world. Even if she was dead lost. He smiled and trotted on. The rain got harsh. It was most likely an hour later when it went to full force and the two of them had to take shelter in a dark cave. They sat against the wall, watching the rain. A flash of lightning lit the walls with an illuminating magic. ?Isn?t rain romantic, Sethy?? ?Huh? Oh yeah. That, it is.? ?I just love it. But I hate getting caught in it.? She laughed that laugh and Sether grinned. ?Well, it is night anyways. Let?s get some sleep, okay?? ?Yeah, okay.? They both laid down onto the ground, back to back and slept. Eve appeared in Sether?s dream. Laughing and running around. He didn?t know where. Then there was Kitty. He called out to her in his dream, but Kitty then unsheathed her sword and stabbed Eve. His eyes went horrified and then Kitty advanced on him it seemed. He woke with a start. ?A nightmare.? He stepped out into the rain. It didn?t seem like he slept for long. It was still deep into the night, but he stayed standing outside, the wind flowing through his cloak.
Kitty
Kitty had racked up a lot of cash taking it from people who had no reason to keep it. Kitty: It's not stealing if they don't want it, now is it Timer? Timer: Chirp! Kitty: Right. Now let's go get ourselves a good meal. Kitty and Timer walk into a restuarant. There are many rich people sitting on one side. Kitty walks over and sits down. Many stared at her because she didn't look rich at all. Waiter: Excuse me miss, but I believe you belong over there... Kitty: Not with the money I got. I've got at least 2000 dollars, as pocket change. Now, give me a burger and a bowl of birdseed. Make sure you add an Icee and a bowl of water, too. Waiter: Of course miss. Begging your pardon, miss. The waiter walks away and the others turn away, now ignoring Kitty. Now, who shall I steal from? Well, that man or that woman. They seem to have the most attention. I'll have fun with this... The waiter had returned with a burger, birdseed, an Icee, and a bowl of water. Kitty took the food and shoved it down. Timer took his time. Kitty: You take your time, Timer. I'll get our pay. No sense leaving with a silver platter next to you and not takin' it, is there? Timer nodded, but didn't chirp. His beak was full of birdseed. Kitty then slowly walked up to the man and woman. She told them that there was a special new restuarant, and that they were one of the few people invited to the grand opening. She said that she was going to take them there. After she reached an alley, she knocked the pair out and took at least 6000 dollars. She threw them behind trash cans and went back in to get Timer. Kitty: Timer! You're getting too fat! I think it's time we left. Timer: Chirp!? Chi-chirp!
Dragon Warrior
God. Violent, aren't we? XD --------------- By mid morning, Eve and Sether had made it around the mountain and back on the trail. The map was totally ruined so they had to manage with nothing, but instinct abd what seemed to be a path. Eve latched to Sether's arm. He blushed. "Ya know, Sethy, I was wondering... why do you want to go to Carra?" "Well, I'm quitting my job, I suppose and I want to get a better life there. I always thought it'd be nice to open a school for fighting. Something like that." "Oh," she said excitedly. "Sounds interesting." "Yeah. Why are you going?" "Oh... well... nothing particular, Sethy. Just a wanderer. Yep. I'm a wanderer." She laughed and they walked on. Sether saw a movement out of the corner of his eye. He stopped for just a second, then moved on. It was shown in the bushes again. He looked this time. It wasn't there. "Sethy?" Eve called back at him. He didn't answer. He just watched carefully. Whatever it was, it was close. He waited for about two minutes before it reappeared. This time, he saw it and got it with one of his berettas. It fell to the ground and let out a howl. It wasn't human. "Curses! Yoy!!!" A blue-burred creature stood. It looked like a small wolf with horns on it's head. It had a white chest which was stained with red from blood where it was shot in the shoulder. "What was that for?" Sether kept the gun's aim on the new foe. "You were tracking us." "You can't prove that," the wolf growled. "I've seen you for the past hour." "Yoy! I could've been going to Carra too." "Ah ha! How did you know we were going to Carra?" "What is this? Twenty Questions? Yoy!" The dog threw up his arms and shook his head. He started towards Sether. Sether readied his gun. "Not one step further." "Okay, okay. Easy with the insults. Yoy! So I was tracking you. A guy's gotta eat, ya know." "Yeah, but not me or Eve." "Yah, yah. Yoy!" "What are you, anyways?" "Judging from the yoys," Eve began, now approaching the scene, "He's a Berrawolf. Rare species of half man, half wolf, half goat." "How can there be three halves? Yoy!" "Gah! Fine! Parts! Not Halves!" Eve shook her head. Sether kept the gun steady. "Just move along, then, berrawolf. We don't want trouble." "You're lucky us berrawolves heal from gun wounds easily. Yoy! I'll be back!" Sether shot at the ground near the berrawolf's feet. It leapt and ran off, yoying. "Geez. What a *****."
Kitty
Kitty had even more fun over the next day. She found a group of men who liked bullying people for their prized possesions. Most of the people that they picked on were very young or small. Kitty: It ain't nice to pick on the little people. Man: What would you know about it? Huh lil' girl? I think you's pretty, so how 'bout you's come with me? Kitty didn't respond. She just ran at them. The men were laughing, until Kitty hit the man who was talking to her. The others were now staring at her. She took this oportunity to attack. She knocked them out in a couple of seconds. Then she took their money, and returned the possesions back to their owners. Timer: Chirp! Kitty: I know... I just don't like it when they pick on kids, ya know? I need money, they didn't. Timer had almost fully healed. All that was left to heal was his wing. He still couldn't fly, but that didn't stop him from hopping on the ground. Later that night when Kitty returned to the hotel, Timer nearly fell out the window. Kitty managed to save him. Kitty: Watch it! Don't go hoppin towards an open window! Anyway, there ain't anything on TV, but I'm to tired to go outside. I wonder how Sethar's doing. ------------- Kitty's code: Always kick *** for the things you want and/or need. Cool! :)
Dragon Warrior
OOC: Sether's chillin' in the hood, dawg XD --------------- Sether didn't understand the old man known as Jumpy Joe. He said it'd take like a week to get to Carra. Eve and him got there in a matter of 2 days. This was odd, but Sether didn't complain. He was too happy to be back in civilization again. And not being tracked by punks. He looked around the market as Eve picked up some food. He was completely drooling over produce so Eve had to grab him and pull him away before the shopkeeps complained. it was good to be in Carra, but Sether could not help, but feel that Kitty was close. Strange, eh? "What would Kitty be doing in Carra?" he said out loud by accident. "What was that, sethy?" Eve asked in her dreamy voice. "Huh? Oh, nothing." Sether sweated under the hot sun and moved a bit faster than normal. He pushed through the crowd until Eve stopped him. "Sether, we need some more money for a place to stay." "What? We spent it all? "Well, what do you have?" "Not much." "Shoot..." she winced. "Your leg!" Sether exclaimed. It had a wound. "Oh... I just snagged it on a sharp plant in the woods." "Well, no matter what it was, we have to get that looked at. Come on..." He helped her walk along even if she didn't really need it, but she wanted him to anyways. There was a call out in the streets and Sether saw a large crowd. He approached it and peeked past a couple of men. There was definately something going on. A large man just finished off a smaller one with a punch. The defeated man crawled away in shame. That's when a man in a white hat came out. "Who thinks they can defeat this guy?! The incredible Bruno! Just pay us 200 bucks and if you win, we'll give it back, plus 1000 more! It's a good deal, people!" The man seemed to snicker viciously, but Sether stood up. "Good way to get money. Let's go." The crowd laughed and Sether felt limp. The large man chuckled as well. He then cracked his knucles and beamed at Sether. "I'm gonna have fun with this one." "Sethy, I don't know about this. We don't even have 200 bucks." The large man's eyes lit up. "Ooo... a perdy gal, you have there. I'll make a deal with ya since you're broke. You win, you get the 1000. I win, I get the gal. Hahahaha!" Eve winced with shock, but Sether agreed. "What! Sether!" Eve exclaimed. "Trust me." Sether approached the man and the crowd fell silent. "Let's go." The large man known as Bruno lifted his fist up and brought it down. All he caught was Sether's cloak in his hand. "He's gone." Bruno blinked, looking curiously at the empty cloth. He then looked up and Sether fell from the sky and kicked him into a wall. Bruno was out cold. Down came the money, raining into Sether's hands. All 1000. He then grabbed his cloak from Bruno's limp hand and walked off from the crowd with Eve. People watched him leave with awe. "Now for a room." ----------- I'm using Kitty's ways XD
Kitty
I'm flattered! XD ------- Kitty: Timer... When you leave, remeber me, okay? Timer: Chirp! Kitty: *giggles* Thanks Timer. At least I can count on you. Since Sethar's gone, who else did Alex hire? I wonder... The TV suddenly caught Kitty's attention. A news caster was reporting many robberies of rich drunks, rich undrunks, and people inbetween. Kitty wondered if they would ever catch her. They're all idiots. They probably won't. And if they do, I'll kick their butts and take THEIR money. Well, at least I have a plan... There was a sudden knock on the door. Kitty jumped, then went to open it. A man stood there with a worried look on his face. Kitty: Who are you? Can I help you? Man: I'm just staying the night, but I'm worried about this "robber". She is said to look just like you. Is it, you? Kitty suddenly put on an appawled look. Kitty: Of course not! I may not look rich, but I am! I am the daughter of one of the richest men in this country! Man: Oh! I'm very sorry, miss. I just-just thought I'd check and, you know, make sure. I'll be leaving now. Kitty, still with the appauled look on her face, shut the door. When the door was closed and they were alone again, Kitty relaxed her face and fell on the bed nearly squishing Timer, but he managed to hop away. Kitty(muffled): I wish I wasn't so tired right now. I'd be running around kicking some ***, but I'm way to worn out. This hotel is... so... boring.... Kitty's breath became slow and quiet, meaning she had fallen asleep. Timer slowly went to sleep too. Meanwhile, Sethar and Eve...
