Guest Dave Diller
If you've been told that your IP has been banned, rest assured, this is probably not the case. I've received a lot of emails about this, but I can confirm that AOL is having some sort of problem at the moment. Every member who claims to have been banned is an AOL user. Also, some of the users who were "IP banned" are now able to view the forums. So, if you receive a message saying that you are IP banned (but your account doesn't say "banned"), then you know you're not actually banned. I thought I'd create an announcement to clarify the situation. If you have any issues, please use Internet Explorer rather than AOL. That should solve your problem. Regards, James
Call me stupid but, uh, if you're IP banned you can't read the boards, right? So honestly what good is this message since it's addressing those who are 'IP Banned'? :wigout:
James
The announcement clearly states that people are not IP banned -- that they're merely experiencing an error. This is a temporary error. So, once they can see the boards again, they can view this Announcement and they'll know that they weren't banned. ^_^ Also, this really belongs in the Suggestions & Feedback forum. Just a heads up.
