Saddam's Sons Killed

I saw this on the news. They said on some news channel that some people in Iraq aren't believing it and saying that they are just rumors. Some are very happy, shooting guns in the air in happiness. Well that is what I heard, I could be wrong. I am very happy that they were finally stopped. But why can't we get the daddy? And what about Osama? Anybody remember him? Yeah, I still believe he is alive somewhere. We need to get him too!

I personally do not care. They can't be all THAT important. And they're dead to boot. I'd rather see public execution then photos of their corpses. Call me sick and twisted, but it would probably be more emotionally rewarding to see them, or his dad, or Osama gassed to death. Or hung. Or gullotined.... Or, nevermind. I won't say that here.

They are/were that important, and you can't always have a Mussolini going away party for dictators.

Oh yes, they were very important. They killed a lot of people. We have two out of three down. We need Saddam dead. I personally wouldn't want to see the pictures of their corpses. I just don't like those things.

Anyone that doesn't think they're important obviously doesn't keep up on news whatsoever. They were so much more violent and ruthless than Saddam could have ever wished to be, and if either ever got into full power it would have been a massive problem.

I anyone is wonderign what their names were, they were Qusay(sp?) and Uday Hussein.

Whole I don't condone their ruthless actions, I feel that they had no chance but to grow up in an environment where they would ultimately tyrannize Iraq like they did. Like father, like son.

It's sad that it had to turn out like that. My condolenses to their mother.

I think it's good, They were BAD MEN!!! Killing, beating, raping people for no reason..ugh makes me sick. The true evil that some people can do scares me, they got it easy compared to the people they've killed and burned, raped, tortured, ugh...makes me sick.

Horrah. We can kill everyone and anyone but Saddam. Yes! Score.

I think that Saddam had more reasons to invade Kuwait than the US did in March, lol. Sort of amusing.

I guess they did get what they deserved, not the best of people, but I really just want to see us elminate Osama or Saddam finally.. intill then they are an obvious threat.

i think its wrong that they released the pictures to the american public. well i guess not so much wrong, but more of a mistake. The american people aren't used to that kind of stuff, nor should they have to be.
Personally i don't think anyone should have the right to take anothers life. but i guess we had to kill the spider to save the butterfly. but that still doesn't make it right, america in turn are becoming the murderers.
i don't know, the showing of the pictures i think is just an out of character act american intellegence decided to pull. maybe it was the right thing to do, maybe it wasn't. whats done is done.

I think thats good and all that they died but, where are the "weapons of mass destruction" that Bush told us about? Havent found one. Nada. Zip. Nothing! All the only good thing we did was stop the tyranny. But it is NOT our business to go in there and change their nation as we see fit. Now that saddam has lost control we should keep our nose out of their business.

Well, how else are you going to prove that they're dead? You need to show pictures, however gruesome they might be.

It's good news, of course. These violent psychos are dead. That alone ensures that more people won't die (or be tortured) at their hands.

This also solves the statement "if sadam dies his sons will take over".

Those pictures weren't THAT bad, and it wasn't to prove to the american people, it was to prove to the world since they think all we do is lie.

I think that is true also. Just because it is sick and gruesome doesnt mean you can't show it. There are people that see bodies like those everyday.

I am so glad they are dead they were both very vicious and one was a serial rapist I normally wouldn't say this but they deservied to die and as for Saddam I hope in the near future we get him although he is not in charge of Iraq anymore he still has a lot of power with some of those people so hopefully we kill the bastard.

For all we know, this could be a ploy by the U.S to get Saddam emotionally charged so he does something stupid and get's caught, only to be re united at Area 51 to Uday and Qusay.

I watched an interesting movie called deterrence today. It predicted a showdown with the U.S and Iraq over another invasion of Kuwait in 2008. The presidents threatens the use nuclear weapons against Baghdad, and it's dictator, Uday Hussein.

2008 ... O_o

Well, I agree with James. A lot of people are cynics, so I think we'd have to show them pictures, no?
That's exactly what I was thinking as far as films are concerned. The images of his sons didn't depict blood oozing out of wounds or anything too illicit. You could go see the latest Terminator film or Bad Boys II and see infinitely more gruesome imagery.

That's why I become so annoyed when I hear people complaining. Especially when they say "Oh, but the United States shouldn't be allowed to do that!"

Sometimes you just have to do what the situation calls for. I heard an interesting comparison on the radio yesterday. The police have a written manual that tells them what to do in any given situation. It's right there in black and white. But, when they're actually on the job, and someone is shooting at them, they'll see that the manual doesn't have all the answers. They'll have to use their own judgment to survive the situation.

I don't care what documents we have; none are completely fail-proof. They can't account for every situation or be applied to every problem. I'm sure the Geneva Convention didn't consider millions of paranoid Iraqis going on in a panicked state. People have to see that these two are dead with their own eyes. It'll calm down the Iraqis and make things a lot easier for the troops over there.

If anything, this sends a very powerful message. There are no doubts. They're not buried under rubble from a bombing raid. You can see their bodies.

They were hiding in their cousin's house so that they could regain power someday. Now there is proof that that won't be happening.

I suppose now should be the time to mention that this is NOT the first time the U.S. has shown things so explicit. If they could even be called explicit. During the Vietnam War, there was footage of people being blown away, not like in the movies....but for real. Dan Rather, who was young and handsome back then, was out there filming and reporting. The U.S. saw everything the soldiers went through. People having emergency surgeries involving de-limbing, getting sewn up, getting shot through the head, being injected with morphine..... Anything terrible happened, it was broadcasted.

So everyone who says that this is too gross, should go study a little history. And everyone who claims that this is the first time the world has seen a war like this, should clean the mud out of their eyes and go look into the CBS archives. They'll find everything in there.

As Charles said, this really does send a powerful message to the rest of the world that everything in Iraq wasn't for nothing. Some might question the motives, but there's no arguing the results: Saddam Hussein no longer has control of Iraq and his two heirs, both considered more dangerous and sadistic than Saddam himself, are now both dead.
