Flashbacks

Has anyone had a flashback that held some signifigance? That gave them a painful memory, a happy memory? Have you ever suffered a flashback, so clear, it's made you cry? It's made you so happy?

I'm asking, because I've recently suffered a few flashbacks. One so clear, so vivid, like it was yesterday. It upset me so much. I'm finding it hard to concentrate. It's in my signiture, if you want to know.

No. But i often have deja vú. I once had a dream. It was blurry, but i remembered the scene. perhaps 3 years later, i remembered. i was looking at a Lego boat of mine, under the ironing board. the memory cam upon me, and cleared. it was exactly how i had dreamnt it, 3 years ago. i think that stuff is weird. i have them commonly.

I've had a lot of flashbacks, but never one that caused pain. Usually when I go to a place I haven't been for a long time I start to get flashbacks. They usually just have to do with pointless memories. Then again, I've never really had a horrible experience, or one that greatly effected me to this day.

Not pain, as in [i]pain[/i].. [i]hurt pain[/i]. I mean emotionally. That it hurts you to think of it. You know?

I know exactly what you mean. I just haven't had anything happen to me that effected me a great deal emotionally. I mean I've obviously been upset before, but I'm not bothered by things that already happened.

Yeah, it's not usually that I'm bothered by past events.. it's just the image that flashback leaves in my head. It seems so long ago, though it seems like yesterday.

You know how you make up pictures in your head, or you see a picture, that stabs you? That's what this is like.. the picture of me and someone I haven't seen for four years, even though I knew him like my brother, walking down the street, like we always did.

I can't really explain it.

Heh. Once in a while, I'll see someone I haven't seen in a long time (Well, for a kid like me, 5 years is a while) I'll have a flashback.. Sometimes it's happy, if I've had happy times with that person, but more often than not I'll remember something more depressing and hurtful..

It hasn't happened for a little while.. But when it does, everything is extremely vivid.

[color=darkblue]I remember watching the news at one time a while back and having a flashback. There just happened to have been a fire at an apartment building in a county slightly north of us which was started by a matress fire. It instantly made me think of the time there was a fire in my old apartment building when I was five that was started because someone forgot to put out a cigarette while in bed and fell asleep. It wasn't exactly painful, as the whole building didn't go up, just that one apartment, but it did rattle me a bit, being as young as I was. And it's weird because I walk by it every day and feel nothing. Oo;[/color]
