Anime Gate Keepers 21

[COLOR=limegreen]hey everybody!!! just wonderingif any body has ever heard of this lovely show called gate keepers 21. it really is good. though at some points it is difficult to understand. i like it. i also like the idea of being able to open "gates" with cell phones and the like. hmm. . . .i think i would like to have Reiji's abilities--hence tha black gate that destroys EVERYTHING it touches. . . pretty cool huh? or maybe Sotoka's gate that gives her those killer swords. . . man i want a sword like that. they are very pretty ;D heehee. geez i hope somebody else watches gate keepers. . . it is a lonely world *hangs head* but hopefully somebody does!! I have seen every episode aired on Anime unleashed so far. There are strage thing in that anime like how human turn into Invaders and the human protion are then turn into cyrstals are the invader is destroy.

I saw it for the first time last night, and all I can say is... Wow. That's a really high-quality anime. The art is crisp, and the music's okay. Only problem I have is the one character with the typical, anime-only high, whiny-yet-unbelievably-soft voice. That's the only drawback. (Plus, can't understand song lyrics.)

yeah her voice does get annoying at times. the art is amazing. . . much better than ive seen in a while (though that may be my fault since i have been watching stuff like Lupin the 3rd, kikaider and dbz most recently). i like the music. . . escpecially the theme song. i wish i knew what they were saying though. *frowns* but i guess its ok cuz i already know most of the japanese words :)!


huh. . . i just realized while looking at the tv sechedule for techtv. . . .gate keepers 21 only has 5 episodes. how odd. i knew that last one seemed like a closer. o well guess now ill have to watch this boogipop thing. . .

sadly no. . . there are no more episodes. only 6 of them (ignore where i said 5 in the other post). it sux though doesnt it? i would have expected more. there is another show simply called "Gate Keepers" that has roughly 20 episodes if i am not mistaken. i have never seen it though... just read about it. it is apparently a "prequel" if you can call it that to gate keepers 21. i thought it would be worth checkin out but it doesnt come on tv. i think it is only available on VHS. . . its from the early nineties or late 80's or maybe even late 60's or 70's. i dont remember which. but the animation is still that sharp and crisp, much to my dismay. . . i didnt think it would be that way but it looks like it is from the photos i saw.

I saw it for the 1st time like friday night, on anime unleashed! It was way good, a little confusing cause I was in like mid eposide, but I continued to watch it, and the next 3 eposides were even better. Wow, how weird...I was just about to start a thread just like this...weird^_^ I like the characters, good animation, nice flow of action and plot, good development of characters personalities, and not bad music. Sounds like it's a keeper for me.

[/B][/QUOTE] Gatekeepers 21 is a sequel to the original Gate Keepers - set more than thirty years after the events of the original. I like this anime, mostly just the mood of it. If anybody has seen the original they know that the human race was against these invaders. And it had a optimstic tone to it. Now that the invaders have won, the anime has that very sad tone to it. Like no matter what the invader hunters do, they'll never win. And this anime seems more like a OVA. Its only 6 ep. long. The original had like 24/25 ep. to it.

I've seen a few episodes of that show, IT BLEW MY FRIGGIN' MIND! The animation is very cool and it has a cool theme, ya'know the good vs.evil crap. Only with weird gate thingies.

I think the origonal Gate Keepers has 26 episodes since there are 8 DVDs. I was thinking about getting the two Gate Keepers 21 DVDs... Do they have any extra's?

I watched an episode of it. It was all right. Pretty much all over my head. But it styaed true to real anime. I've watched about one episode of every anime on tech tv and it seems the best so far.

My friend told me all aboght this show and i am going to watch it as soon as i can.She says its more exiting then dragon ball z(alomost evrey thing is)and she is a big fan of it but getting tired of it.The show reminds me of me and her aloght.I will post more when i watch it this monday i will post back here.My friend says it funny and cool.Besides that i dont know much aboght it.
