It's becoming more and more common to have these huge signatures that I've got to scroll through. 28 lines of text, a banner, 19 blank lines all in the normal size font? It's just insane to have to scroll through such a large amount of inane rubbish. The rest of us have managed to keep it under ten lines of small text, why can't you? Unfortunately, whenever you upgrade the forum software, you lose various "add on" stuff. In terms of adding another signature limit hack...I'll do what I can. If I can get one installed that suits our needs, I'll have it done. Until then, Category Moderators have my permission to ask people to shorten their signatures if they're too long. That usually takes care of the problem, but there are a lot of people, and I only have so much time. ^_~ It is a courtesy to other members to keep your signature a reasonable length... If there's someone in particular bothering you, you could kindly ask them to shorten it. Even before I started modding again, people generally obliged if I was polite. Zephyr Posted July 26, 2003 Share Posted July 26, 2003 I honestly haven't the slightest clue how the codes for this site work, but what about having a code in the program that sets the text to font size 1 if it exceeds so many characters? Would that be possible on this board? Or possibly just having all sigs be font size 1. It may not solve the length issue, but it would shorten the size of the posts left behind.
