scariest movie you ever saw

Night Of The Living Dead. After finishing it at 2:30 am, and having to walk past a sliding glass door to go to bed, I was totally freaked. Night Of The Living Dead, for those of you who are not classically-inclined, is THE definitive horror movie. It's got a creep factor that I've never experienced in any other movie.

My other top horrors are...

F.W. Murnau's Nosferatu - Because it is simply the greatest vampire film ever made and actually takes itself seriously, as opposed to camp like Blade.

The Wolf Man - One of the very first werewolf movies, and one of the very best. The character progression (or REGRESSION) is so poignant. The main character begins as a smug and pompous ***, but after being bitten, develops into a scared child with a demonic alter-ego. Spectacular stuff.

I must be the only person who didn't think The Ring was scary at all. Especially the Japanese version. It just never got to me.

Mothman Propehcies was decently scary, I guess.

I've always wanted to see Suspiria. I've never gotten around to it. I've heard nothing but good things, and there is a nice Collector's Edition DVD set out.

The scariest movie?
Umm... I'd have to say 'Final Destination'. Either that, or this Korean movie where this grandmother tries to kill her daughter-in-law for trying to steal her son, by trying to drown her, stab her, poison her, and all sorts of icky stuffs. And everyone tells me 'Final Destination' wasn't even scary. Nor the grandmother one. oo;

When I saw 'Final Destination' a second time, I was jumping each time someone died, and everybody else was just laughing at how a few of them died. It just made me really cautious, for some reason. I'm always tucking the floss behind the mouthwash, and keep dad's razor all the way on top shelf. ..;;

That's just a rundown on how terrible Juu is with scary movies. x .x;

The scarist movie to me would have to be Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds". I saw it when I was six, and am terribly scared of crows and seagulls. (Which doesn't help because I live close to Chicago's infamous Lake Shore Drive....)

The funny thing is that I tend to see more seagulls and crows away from the lake than I do when I'm by it. I see seagulls in lots of random parking lots nowhere near water heh.

We have massive black crows in Chicago. In the fall there are tons and tons of them around my house, and I live in the city... this isn't some backwoods suburb thing. Some of them are well over a foot tall.

Finally, the only other Chicago/Illinois person I know of on OB is back heh.

That's right! And there's no gettin' rid of me this time. ^_~

I noticed that too, but when I went to the Lincoln Park Zoo, I nearly died. The stupid things were everywhere!

I've barely seen any scary movies to speak of, so by default the movie that's creeped me out the most is The Ring. well, the first time seeing it, anyway. then I saw it at home, and it was still kinda creepy, but not as creepy as seeing it in a dark theatre where everything's bigger and louder. though after watching it even now, I can't help walking into a silent room and getting paranoid that some dead girl is going to come out of the mirror, or t.v./computer monitor, or out of the closet, and give me the look of death :demon:. and this is some odd days after seeing it 0_o'. heh, what fun ^_^.

The Ring kind of freaked me out. Then again, it seems like I'm afraid more of black and white silent videos. Especially when they involve something creepy(i.e. Charlie Chaplin...thank god that movie had nothing to do with him.). None of the japanese versions of The Ring scared me.

The scariest would have to be Nightmare on Elm Street. That creeped me out, but so did it. I am officially scared of clowns.

I also liked Chuckie's bride, that was a little scary, but i liked it.

I also like The Others even though it's not scary. Who cares?

Jason X? Ghost Ship? Final Destination? (Well, the Final Destination 2 is surprisingly WAY better... Jason X is like a pure camp, fanboy movie -- much like Freddy vs. Jason, although X is to a much smaller extent).

We're confusing comedies and horror here heh. You guys sure are scared easily lol.

The original Ghost Ship was good. The only thing the second has going for it is the opening scene, which is probably one of the coolest mass deaths I can think of in recent years. The whole 60s motif was great too. What was left of the movie was horribly thrown off by shoddy industrial music that made me want to kill myself when I heard it. It was so out of place. And I love industrial.

I'm half expecting to see someone mention the remake of House on Haunted Hill, Jeepers Creepers or Darkness Falls. I can't stand any of these. This type of horror just isn't for me, I guess.

Cube was a good one. I don't know how scary it is, but it's good. Just avoid Cube 2.

The last time i was honestly scared by a movie was when i was like 10 and i saw Jaws. I haven't been scared since. It takes a lot to freak me out so really i feel like im missing out when people say they get scared by a certain movie. the ring was mediocre was well.

I personally enjoy horror films. The Ring didn't scare me, nor did Darkness Falls. In fact, I can't seem to find a movie that does.Oo I'm hoping to see The Ring in Japanese, considering I've heard many say that it's much scarier then the English remake.

I also have a very strong desire to see 28 Days Later, I've heard it's filled with quite a bit of terror.^~()

How can u say The Ring?That was the worst excuse of a horror movie ever! And The Exorcist too, more of a Barbie Movie than a horror movie. The only Movie i thought was scary was Nightmare on Elm Street, which i saw when i was 4!
