Censorship SUCKS!

Im getting tired of all this crap. Its in our contstitution that censorship is not allowed. Well then what is all this crap!

Today I read where Spiderman 2 was being postponed several months because it has seens where your fighting on tall buildings that kinda look like skyscrapers. THATS RIDICULOUS. If we are going to that extreme why dont we outlaw tall buildings all together.

Then the whole deal with gundam being postpone, and cowboy bebop. IT makes me so mad. Im not saying the goverment is censoring them but it is a form of censorship.

If people cant cope with seeing a tall building they need help. I have been in a tornado and have known people killed by them. Does it bother me to watch them on tv or see them in a game. NO. And no one censors that.

There also re doing Red Alert 2 because of a battle that takes place in New York, Now I have to hurry up and buy it before they screw it up. Its ridiculous.

I understand people died and many people are greiving but theres a line between what there doing and they have just jumped way acrross it.

there also taking the world trade towers out of MSF simulator 2000. Why? Cause if you want to you can fly your plane into the towers. HATS THE BIG DEAL. I can simulate recking a car into another playing driver. So shouldnt we bann that too??

i hear ya. i was told there are 13 satelites around the world and they can moniter us. If you were eating a hot dog outside, they'd be able to pinpoint your exact position and see what you have on your stupid hotdog. Then the IGS or rather, moniters fax, cellphone, email, and other expanded uses of communication. Does this not violate any civil rights yet?

What can I say? People are stupid. I mean, there's no excuse for censorship. They censor everything in the "Land of the Free". I hope that future generations aren't like this....

Yeah, I dont have a problem with them lloking at my hotdog or whatever. As long as there not watching me while im in my house. Now if Im making a deposit into the national bank of bootey, and there watching me, thats where I draw the line. As for reading my emails. Im not stupid enough to send out vitakl info on emails or anywhere on the net so that doesnt matter anyway. If they want to read about my sucky day let em.

and the worst thing about it all is that they're blaming games for it, and what the hell for? I'll tell you what for, it makes them comfortable to blame something, than to not blame anything, just look at the osama bin laden case, bush is taking actions against someone who they have no real evidence against, they sent out jets, they told afghanistan to hand him over, when they have no real proof! and when I read the papers a few days ago, bush was at an interview and when someone asked him if they have any evidence against bin laden, bush said that they WILL find evidence against him, oh please, what an idiotic world we live in....

basically as it stands in the world, if a film or game as a skyscraper, they'll be like, "oh look! a skyscraper resembling the world trade centre! we have to cut this out or people will be hurt by these terrible images!", oh please, thats nothing but idiocy....

for gods sake, I come from iraq, a country which has been BOMBED many times by the US, yet, when I see films or games in which a similar thing happens, do I cry out? do I ask for it to be censored? no, I do not, because unlike those idiots I can actually move on with my life and just say **** it, it happens....

The first is that we get so many complaints from people who hate swearing. The second reason is that we have a lot of young kids visiting the boards (kids under 13 years old), and in that situation, it is inappropriate for us to encourage swearing for that group of people.

I think that people are always too willing to use idiotic words or language...and I think it can get in the way of a good discussion.

Well there is an obvious answer to censorship...

America is made up of MANY people from MANY different cultures... what you say may not be offensive to you, but it can be to me.... or to others...

In Japan do you think the N word offends them? No, so would they censor it? no.... here... if the N' word was said by a person other than african American, the African American communitie woul dbe all over it in seconds.... same with words like "f-ag" or "gook" or "chin-k" or "j-ap".... there's just too many different cultures in America to be sute it won't offend anyone so they just censor it all....

Plus we have this weird ideal that kids shouldn't see "bad" stuff on TV.... it's not like they aren't gonna see it later in life, mise well show them now... for god sakes, they changed Beer o DragonBall Z to root beer.... i guess it's so harmful that kids see hulma drinking beer they might become drunks at age 7..... the horror.... oddlty enough, thats never happened in Japan.....

The ideals on censorship are just to extreme.... when it comes to this people are extremist in thei ideals and take it to all new levels.... lately however alot of people have come down on that allowing the S-word on TV, cable that is... after certain time slots and certain other words... as long as they aren't used in an offensive manner they are mostly allowed, just TV people don't even want to deal with the trouble of even that chance of one lawsuit.... so they don't bother...

everyone, remeber we haven't had an attack like this before, so it has really shocked and wounded us. with time, we will bcome less raw with these events, but first we must heal.

but, with the news pics, i think it was tasteless to show those people (what if the fams could identify them), but i also c that the agencies were covering what was happening.

in a perfect world, we would censor ourselves and not use swearing to harm or belittle others. since this isn't the case, we censor each other.

we seem to overlook sometimes the fact that our rights in the Constitution are only guarenteed as long as they don't infringe upon the rights of others. you can't use free speech in court, or use it to shout fire in a public place.

One of the primary reasons that the United States has so much crime and intolerance is the fact that so many things are censored...

Whether it be literature...or a movie...or whatever else.

I'm not saying that a five year old should watch porn -- I'm just saying that as long as everything has an appropriate age rating and that groups who shouldn't be viewing that stuff aren't...then the content itself should not be butchered.
