PS anybody who saw the episode Phantom, could you PM me to tell me what happened?

It has already been learned that Tsukasa is
a girl, right? Well, I belive that she will die when the series ends. Do you remember the broken man? I belive his name is Harald, Tsukasas father. In .hack liminality, it shows a man who resembles the broken man standing over a grave that reads:

Emma Wielant
The hand that spun a legend
will also become a legend itself.

She is burried somewhere in germany
Well that's creepy...Anyways yes, the broken mans name is Harold. That'd be strange if it was Tsukasa's father.
Considering the one epi. where it shows the man who is ment to be Tsukasa's father drinking, yelling at him, in the hospital pulling the plug, etc.
But in that epi. it didn't should the man's face. So I really don't know about the broken man being Tsukasa's father, but it is likely that it is. And I think your right about Tsukasa being dead in the end, with all that happens to him in one of the epi.
The epi. with the girl being in the hospital and having the father pull the plug and that the doc get it put back in when she is almost dead. And being beaten.
So I think your theory may very well be correct in most of the things you've said. Wait, I think I just confused my-self.

I have to disagree with that idea. Harald Hyuek is a German (LIMINALITY #1 spoiler)
who lives in Germany.
Tsukasa is Japanese. Besides, as Ruby mentioned, all those memories of a negligent and drunk father don't give you the vision of a passionate computer programmer.

I just thought of something. If Tsukasa's mother died, what did she die of and where did she die? Some people die of abuse, beatings, again abuse, etc. So she could have died from things like those. She could have gotten a divorce, form Harald and gotten remarried. Then moved away, and for what ever reasone she would have to divorce him would still linger in the world aka the rage, hurt, bad feelings towards Harald. Yet it was still Haralds child if she had had the daughter with him then divorced. So he could have still gone to visit the grave. If anything I just said would happen to hold true Tsukasa_hack's theory would be correct. If nothing I said was true, feel free to ignore what I've said.

I know it's weird that Tsukasa maybe burried in germany, but think about it. The broken man said: I am sorry, Iwant you to know that I love you, my beloved. I want to create intangible proof of my love. Who do you think he was talking to? Mimiru or Bear? (that would be just too weird.) and also, think about whats written on the grave stone: The hand that spun a legend, will also become a legend itself.
Wasn't Tsukasa somewhat of a legend?

Wasn't Tsukasa somewhat of a legend
Haha, he's called the "broken man" for a reason. Thanks to the latest episode that aired this Saturday, we know
he was talking to Aura
(even though I thought it was obvious the first time in episode 14). Think about it: he didn't exactly make eye contact to anyone, and he was just "rambling on," according to Mimiru.

As for the legend thing, you should realize that the grave in LIMANLITY
is Emma Wieland's. Emma Wieland was the author the Epitaph of Twilight (the "legend"), which means she must have been a close friend of Harald's. Additionally, it means she was much older than Tsukasa's user
. There's no way Tsukasa's user could be her because of time.

Azure Wolf is exactly right. Also, referring to Tsukasa's mother, I think she must have been killed and the police never found out. I dont know how it works in Japan, but if Tsukasa's mother moved away, you'd think she would try to save Tsukasa or tell the police or something to save her child...hmmmm...not much is ever mentioned of Tsukasa's mother, but I am guessing she dies or ran away or whatever when Tsukasa was very young. During the series the calls Morganna (the female voice) Morganna after knowing her for a short time, which may show that Tsukasa was in desperate need of a mother figure.

y'know, spoilers don't work worth crud 'cause I open them from curiosity, and I guess other people do the same.

If
Tsukasa logs out and is alive, than what was that scene about when Tsukasa was attacked by the guardian and someone died in the real world?
Tsukasa does NOT die at the end of .hack//sign.--
Tsukaka is a young girl in the real world who was put into a coma. Herald in the real world is dead, so he couldn't possibly be her father, considering her father tried to pull the plug. Also, Tsukasa appears in the video game series, perfectly ALIVE and well, except we are still unsure if he/she can log out yet.

If your talking about mutation,
Tsukasa appears as a memory in the hidden forbidden holy ground, where it's just a small fragment of him talking to Bear and Mimiru. Unless there's something else,He is not in the world. Also, a few messages up (deleted to ensure not spoiled) it said he doesn't die. PS how did you find that Herald is dead?
Someone told me that in the third series of the video games, you actually meet the characters and they can join your party... or something like that
Yeah, I have heard that too. I have also heard that Balmung winds up on your call list. I really want to see what leads to that (since neither Kite nor Blackrose could trust him after what happened in Mutation.) At the very least you probably run into more of them like in Mutation.
