The men of the vilage have sent us little children and the women away to the houses. I can hear yelling from here....I can hear swords clanging on one another. They've all started to fight....Now the leader is saying something...I can't hear it......They're burning the village! We need t--"[/i]

The page found ended in a splash of blood.

Attacks have recently been initiated by a large group of swordsman and martial artists calling themselves the "Ryu Ronins." Several villages and small cities have been attacked and destroyed by this group. What few witnesses that managed to escape death say that the members are very strong and exceptionally skilled. A few have been reported to possess "magical powers." No one knows why these "Ryu Ronins" have decided to wreak havoc over all of south-west Japan, but many have fallen at their hand, and their ranks become stronger by the day. Led by an unseen force, they seem to have only destruction on their minds...

Some citizens have decided not to take all this lying down. Figuring for themselves that they must put a stop to it, several people from several different villages and towns have set out in order to put a stop to the Ryu Ronins' crimes. All of them have no knowledge that they are all bound by destiny as they travel their paths to help end all the suffering that has come to the land. They will have to band together in order to defeat an evil none of them could possilbly begin to fathom...

[b][u]Major Cities and Towns[/u][/b]

[b]Subaiyashi-[/b] Large city in the central area of south-west Japan. Known mainly for the large marketplace there and is ideal for trading. Unfortunately, for this same reason, it is also an ideal place for bandits and thugs, and has a very high crime rate. It's also believed to harbor the HQ for the Ryu Ronins, but no proof has been given.

[b]Kairachi-[/b] Town 45 miles south of Subaiyashi. A major site for religion, many people come here to pray to the many shrines or just to enjoy the peaceful serenity of the country atmosphere. It has become uneasy as of late, due to the RR attaks.

[b]Jukinu-[/b] This site of ruins 25 miles west of Subaiyashi was once a town that grew fine crops for the Subaiyashi Market. Now that the RR have decimated it, nothing is left except charred house skeletons and corpses, and the surrounding cities and towns have had to take up the slack for the amount of produce lost. This does not stop a determined few from trying to salvage what is left of their homes and farms, including wandering bandits.

[b]Lyukishin-[/b] Medium-sized city 15 miles southeast of Kairachi. Famous for its many pubs and taverns, it is often called "The Home of Drunk-Fu," due to the many bar brawls that errupt there.

[b]Oyohama-[/b] This fairly large city is famous for the fine weaponry and armor it produces. Many believe it will be the next target for the RR due to this fact.

You may sign-up as a good Ronin or a Ryu Ronin. Ryu Ronins may have groups in which they can follow or lead, or you can be a loner. Mind, I do want to keep things balanced.

Good Ronins dod not have to carry a weapon, but must have a style (i.e. tae kwon do, jujitsu, whathaveyou) Same with Ryu Ronins. Also, a [u][i]few[/i][/u] people may choose to have a special power. I don't want anything too fancy like combustion or something. Simple limited super speed or special sensory is fine. Here's the sign-up sheet:

Bio: Once a martial artist on his way to glory, he was betrayed by his country. He was imprisoned in an old jail for three years while he comtemplated his revenge. He killed the guard and joined the Ryu Ronins to get back at the people he once trusted. His heart is truly a black leadened stone.
Ability: Nearly perfect sight. He can see things clearer then any animal.
Pet: Silver furred Timber Wolf that can talk.

Bio: As a child Akumatsu was raised only by his father for his mother was killed by a virus. Not only being raised by his father but trained by the way of the ninja. But on his first day of training his father was attacked by ryu ronin. The attack killed his father and blinded Akumatsu, managing to escape, Akumatsu tought his own way of ninjutsu. After mastering ninjutsu at the age of 21, Akumatsu set out on a journey to in south-west Japan to avenge his father's death and kill ryu ronin's. On his journey Akumatsu met a blind old man. After caring for the old man for quite some time the old man gave Akumatsu a gift, a special ninja ability, for the old man was once a ninja also. After learning the ability the old man ordered Akumatsu to leave and make use of the ability, so after saying his goodbyes Akumatsu left and continued his journey. And one day Akumatsu saw a sign saying "Fight the Ryu Ronin! Join us!" Soon after joining Akumatsu became a valuable asset to the good ronin.
Ability: Silent Movement: After summoning the power of Silent Movement Akumatsu has an aura of about ten feet around him that makes it so everything outside the aura cant hear whats inside the aura.

He wears simpe traveling clothes, along wit a straw hat. His swords are thrust into his obi, and his hair is tied into the traditional samurai topknot.

[b]Bio:[/b]He once served a noble of Oyohama, but the death of the lord caused him to becme a wandering ronin. He spen the 20 years after the death of his master perfecting is own sword style, purifying his body and spirit through training.. He has returned from the mountains to seek employment and to find a student to teach his sword style to.

Appearance: Dark tan, green eyes, 6' tall, medium length brown hair, green vest and shorts, sometimes seen with white kimono, oi (straw pack) filled with climbing equipment, metal chain around the neck with charm, zori (wooden sandals) and white socks.
Bio: a mountaineer part-time, he specializes in rescues and exploration. He is known to keep almost anything inside his oi, and everyone on an assignment is more relaxed when he's around. He trained under his uncle in the Iai-jutsu school of swordfighting, but his master was killed when Jukinu was destroyed, he moved to Oyohama to get away from the bad memories, but he instead found more news. Sick and tired of the RR, he joined the battle against them, fighting when he can, but keeping his normal employment.

Bio:Emisu became a Ryu Ronin at a young age,after her family was killed she was about to die as well,as the cold samurai raised his sword over her head she closed her eyes and was ready for death,she then looked up to see a man who stopped the other man from killing her.He offered Emisu to join them sice she had no where to go,she could have ran but they would've killed her anyway so she accepted it.She trained with them she was the youngest out of the Ryu Ronin clan so she would be made fun of alot,but she just ignored them at the age of twelve she earned a sword after she master the art Aikido,and after that she mastered Tae Kwon Do.Every time that the clan would attack a village she got most of the kills,the men under estimate Emisu to much because of her age and gender.When she was walking throught the forest looking for something to kill she came upon a young Hawk who looked helpless,she didn't want to kill it because it didn't seem like much of a challenge,so she just left it and walked back to the base because she knew there wouldn't be anythign to kill.It seemed that the Hawk followed Emisu back to camp.Emisu then wondered why the Hawk was following her so she just shrugged and started to take care of she then gave it the name Sky.Men made fun of the bird and soon after about after 3 more insults she'd want to kill them but she can't.Now at the age she is she is a succesful Ryu Ronin.
