Piers woke up from a restless sleep not moments earlier. He grumbled and put on his slippers and picked up his pipe. Throwing on a robe, he walked down to his basement lab and checked the files of his patients. He carefully examined each one, then something came to him...
"Wait..." He said to himself, smoking his pipe. He looked at all of the images once again to make sure, but it was undeniable that every patient had three things in common. They were all anemic, they all turned into monsters not days later, and they had bite marks on their necks!
"Impossible, there's no such things as...vampyres." He said sneaking off to test his chemical concoctions again. He carefully examined one, then checked the files for traces of chemicals inside his patient's blood. He looked over at his array of serums and antibiotics, and began mixing and matching them. Suddenly an idea came to him. He dashed upstairs and proceeded to get dressed in sich haste that he had woken his wife up.
"Dear, what are you doing?" She asked in a drowsy haze.
"I have to go to the hospital...immediately!" He said while getting into his jacket.
"I think I've found the answer!" He said as he dashed outside. He rushed down the rainy streets at top speed, clipboard and blood samples under his arm. He burst through the doors to see his friend Manson already there.
"Doctor! We have another patient already!" Manson exclaimed in a panic.
"Don't stand there, man!" Piers raged, scaring Manson slightly.
"Take me to them!" Manson led Piers through the maze of corridors, revealing a young woman convulsing violently while strapped to the operating table. Thinking quickly, Piers pulled out an antibiotic and inserted it into the lady's arm. The convulsions stopped, and she fell asleep.
"Check and make sure she's alright." Piers said defiantly, he turned to Manson, giving him the antibiotic.
"Give them this if any more come in." He said as he walked out, lighting his pipe. As he walked out of the hospital, he couldn't help but have the sinking feeling that someone was watching him...

James silently walked down the street, the light from the gas lamps making pools of light. He was wary, as he always was at night. He was always watching. Waiting. He would find them. The Vampyres. And make them pay for what they did to his family.
He opened the door to a small pub, and walked in, needing a drink to get his mind off things. He sat down, and ordered something to drink, mulling over everything. He had to find one...but how?

OOC:Feel free to move in on this guy.

Claudia slowly walked into her room, gently savouring the sweet sound of the four piece band that was playing in the room next door. She gently danced around in elegent circle's remembering faintly the time when she had once swoned with prospectorous sons, in the long and elgeant dances of the night.

Now she danced to serve another purpose, to fuel a lust stronger than that of attraction. Stronger than that of love, the hunger of a vampire (sorry it's the way I spell it) was a hard and dangerous thing to live with. She corrected herself, she was no longer living and she was no longer dead...she was. She paused in her dancing and carefully tried to think of the word that described it.

Finally she decided that there was no real term for it and that this existance was something that she could have to be understandible with. She had not always been as gracious and free as she was now, she had been a devil, created by an aging vampire who longed only for something he could not have. He caused her many nights of pain and madness, locking her away, making her try to understand but she had not. In the end she had murdered him....becuase he had asked to be released, she still hated herself for doing that and probably always would.

She walked slowly to the blackened window and sighed heavily, she had no one to truely love. True she had had followers and patrons, but they counted as nothing. They had all left her in the end...except Howard, but then again he was nothing more than an eight year old. She had sent him to a school far away, simply because she was close to killing him and the last she had heard he was playing dangerous games with sunlight.

She walked slowly over to her crpyt and nestled down into it. The maids would be arrive soon and bustle about, cleaning her room and letting sunlight in. How she wished that she could be one of many others, how she wished she could be more like the younger breeds...but there again she was older and had been brought up to be so.

She fell asleep and eventually awoke just as the sun was dissappearing beyond the horizon. She got up and gently dressed herself in a flowling black gown, a particular favourite of hers and headed down the steps. She liked the twilight of the street's and she liked being a part of the darkness that would surely arose...but suddenly something shattered that inner peace and an odd sensationg of being watched by and all to familiar figure haunted her. "What do you want?" she asked dangerously, not bothering to turn around.

Kyle watched as Claudia walked down the steps. Suddenly, she stopped.

Claudia: What do you want?

In seconds, Kyle appeared right beside her, but instead of his usual clothing, was dressed in a black tux.

Claudia: Oh, its just you.

Kyle: Just me? I was hoping you would be more enthusiastic seeing me, and might I say you look stunning in that dress.

Claudia: Thank you, and why are you dressed like that?

Kyle: There is a party tonight, and I will be honored to be your guest.

Claudia: Why not? But why do you want to come along?

Kyle: Ive only been in London for two days. I would like to see how things are done around here.

Claudia: Really? Then come, we'll be leaving now.

Kyle: Of course, Mistress.

Cassandra figured, since she couldn't sleep that she would take a walk and have a drink or a few. She teleported herself outside and walked to the nearest pub. She was cloaked in a pitch black hooded cloak so as not to be exposed by any hunters. She saw an empty seat right next to a man, who was unknown to her. The bartender knew she wanted the usual, so he got her a wine glass and filled that with sparkling wine. Cassandra was at the age where she was able to taste, smell, and know what wine was like. The man beside her took a glance and wondered why a person would be so hidden. After the bartender leaned over to say everything was clear, Cassandra took the hood off and looked around. Everyone just minded their business. The man introduced himself to Cassandra, wondering if she knew anything about the "vampyres".

"Hello. My name is James Forrest, and you are?"

Cassandra looked to James and did not shift any looks. She smiply answered with politeness.

"My name is Cassandra Pyrin. I am but a mere child, but I am a child who is wise beyond anyone's ears."
"Hmm. I wonder..do you know anything about these "vampyres"?"
"Heh. I figured you'd ask that. I know mostly everything about creatures who serve the night. Like I have said, I am wise beyond anyone's years. And...so as it is not a surprise...I am a 14 year old child that was born a vampyre, who has mastered the speed, strength, momentum, immortality, defense, thought, and...mind. So, just so you know, I am a vampyre that can help you. And if you kill me...the people that sit in this pub will kill you too. Now, follow me...I have a place you can stay at. There I will answer your questions. And thanks for the drink, John."

Claudia linked arms with Kyle and gently they walked out into the cool night air. There was something vague and elusive about Kyle that entised Claudia, something that felt slightly old yet fresh and new. She had no idea what this was, nor how to command it but she was happy to let it play along with her for the time being.

The party they were heading to was in honour of one Lisa Montemero, a ritch girl who was now enguaged to an extreamly wealthly old man. Claudia had once been enguaged to this man as well, but luckily she had been turned into a vampire the night before anyhting came tto pass.

For no reason that she could identify she did not want to go to the party anymore. Maybe it was the fact that her once mortal self had experienced this type of thing before...but then again with Kyle she felt safe and secure and Kyle was in need of some understandings of how to get around London.

Cluadia: Kyle?

Kyle: hmmm?

Claudia: I must warn you now, the gentleman that the girl is to marry was once a fiance of mine...do not ask why my parents arraged it for me. He might regonise me and things might get a little heated.

James had to stop himelf for going for the stake under his jacket. He looked Cassandra over again. If she was telling the truth, she could probably kill him with out breaking a sweat.

He nodded once.
"Very well. I will accompany you, Miss Pyrin, seeing as I have no place to stay."
As he stood to walk out with her, he couldn't help but notice how beautiful she was...

"Snap out of it James! That's what she wants you to think...she'll kill you evantually. You can only trust her so far."

He shook his head, and walked outside with Cassandra, wondering what he had gotten himself into this time...

Vale heard the sound of a horse's hoofs hitting soft dirt and turned around just in time to see a young lady riding off into the darkness. He didn't know why, but there was something...familiar about her.
"Could she be...Cassandra?" He whispered.
"Vale, come on! If we don't hurry, we'll miss the carriage!"
He turned back around and caught up with the others.

By the time they had reached their rendevous spot, there was no carriage waiting for them, nor were there any signs that a carriage had even passed through the area. Valerie leaned over and picked up a bouquet of red roses.
"It appears that our ride has not yet arrived. We still have some time, Vale. Take some of these roses and follow me."
Vale followed Valerie to four, large and richly decorated tombstones in the middle of the graveyard. The names from left to right read, 'Valerie Allard, Samuel Allard, Gawaine Allard, Vale Allard'. He watched as his sister sat down in front of his tombstone. She sat and thought about her brother's funeral. She was glad that it was done at night, or else
she wouldn't have been able to see it. There was someone else like her watching as well that night. She had sensed it after she drank from the man who had the nerve to walk out of her little brother's last rites. It was Cassandra, she was sure of it.
"You were a good kid, and a wonderful brother, Vale. I'll miss you." She whispered as she set a rose down in front of his tombstone.
"What are you talking about, Valerie? I'm right here."
Valerie stood up and moved over to the next tombstone.
"I was referring to your past life, Vale. You're a different person from who you used to be. I accepted that even before I became a vampyre. You realized this, didn't you?"
He nodded and followed Valerie as she layed down her roses. He did the same and they both headed back to Charlie's group.
"Soon we'll need to have Nicholas' tombstone there as well. I think I'll have you take care of it, Vale."
Vale stopped and stared at his sister aghast.
"I'll explain later." She said.
When Valerie and Vale got back to Charlie and the others, a black carriage with ink black horses was already waiting for them.
"Are you two ready now?" Charlie asked impatiently.
Valerie nodded.
"We won't be going back yet though, I want to search for Cassandra first."
Charlie glared at her.
"She'll be a great help to us. If we can find her, then he will be very happy."
Charlie sighed.
"If you put it that way, then we'll search for this, 'Cassandra' that you always speak so highly of. But how are we going to find her? We don't even know where to start."
Vale pointed in the opposite direction of the carriage.
"I saw her riding off that way. At least...I think that was her."
Valerie patted him on the shoulder.
"Good job, Vale. let's go."
Charlie, Nathan, Valerie, and Vale stepped into the carriage and rode off. Matthew and Corin stayed behind.

Cassandra and James came to her mansion. After putting her horse away, they entered the house. As they did the lights yet again began to flicker on by themselves. As the lights grew bright enough for all to see, the inside was spotless. Not a spec of dust anywhere. To James, this was too much. No vampyre lived in a place this clean. James sat down on a couch as Cassandra walked over to her beverage cabinet.

"Would you like something to drink? White wine, perhaps?"
"Uhm...yes."
"Here you are. Now, what is your questions about vampyres? And you should know, after I answer your questions, I believe it wise that you stay here. I will show you to your room later."

James looked around again, noting the room, wondering how she kept it this spotless. He returned his gaze to Cassandra. He tok a sip of wine before beginning his questions.

"Where did you, and the others of your kind first come from? And why do you need blood to survive?"

He sat back, and sippped his wine again, still slightly uncomftorbale talking to...to this thing. It just felt slightly unerving...and yet, she was beautiful. He gave a slight shake of his head again. He can't give in. They must be destroyed, all of them! For the sake of mankind. He looked up at her again, hoping for a reply.

Arika took a sip as well and sat down. She stared at James, with enjoyment. She was enjoying how uncomfortable he was. Cassandra knew only that she doesn't need blood. But, the history must be told.

"Some say vampyres are here because of Edward J. Pearson, a wealthy middle-aged man. Some say, they were brought here long ago when a strange man appeared and everyone started to disappear all of a sudden. As for me, like I have said, I was born a vampyre. My parents were both humans. It was strange how I was born like this. I have both attributes of humans and vampyres. I can stay out int he daylight, eat like a normal human and drink as well. I don't need blood to stay alive. But...other vampyres do. Vampyres don't have any blood in them. All the blood that we, they, eat is used as energy. Our food and drink is the blood we get from the humans. I, on the other hand, do not need blood. I despise blood and will never eat it. And, so you know, I cannot be killed. Throw the stake right through my heart. See what happens. If you threw a stake at another vampyre, they would die. I am a full mastered vampyre. I ahve the full strength, speed, immortality, age, and I don't drink blood. I may be a well adversary to you."

OOC: I know they're not called, "barkeepers" in England. Does anyone know the real term for them?

The black carriage slowed down and came to a halt in the middle of a small town.
"I don't see any stables around here. It looks like we'll have to get out and search on foot." Valerie said as she looked through the window.
"You and Vale go and search for her. Nicholas and I are already late for our report."
Valerie nodded and she and Vale exited the carriage. After it drove off, they entered a pub just across the street.
"What can I get for ya, miss?" The bartender asked.
"Do you know of a young girl by the name of Cassandra?"
The entire room hushed as if it was holding its breath. The bartender whispered to her.
"I might have. What do you want her for?"
"She's an old friend of mine and Its been a long time since I saw her. So you know where she is? May I speak to her?"
The bartender glared at Valerie and Vale.
"That's up to her to decide. What did you say your name was miss?"
"I'm Valerie Allard and this is my younger brother, Vale. She'll know who we are."
The bartender called over a boy who looked like he was just shy of thirteen.
"Yes, Mr. Sam?" The boy asked with a mock salute.
"Go tell Cassandra that she has a couple of visitors that want to speak with her, James. Their names are Valerie and Vale Allard."
James saluted again and ran off down the cobble street to deliver his message.

"Yes, what is it, James? You looked tired. Sit down for a while. Take a breather."
"That's alright, Lady Cassandra. I'm fine. But there are two visitors by the name of Valerie and Vale that want to meet with you."

Cassandra's happiness went down in a second. She looked to the boy again and kneeled down. She gave him a piece of candy before telling him the answer.

"Hmm. Actually, this will be interesting. Tell them to meet me in the bar tomorrow night. I will be there. Today, I have another guest to tend to. Please tell John that. Now, run along James."

James ran off and went to the pub. Cassandra closed the door and sat down rubbing her temples. Valerie wanting to meet her meant bad news. She almost forgot about Mr. Forrest. He looked to her beauty and was suddenly drifted into it. He did not think about how evil vampyres were. A wonderful, yet strange, aroma filled the air. James did not know where it was coming from, but soon found out that it was Cassandra.

How could he have ever thought of Cassandra as an evil thing to be destroyed? She was a beautiful, young woman, not some, evil twisted creature!
He shook his head slightly, and asked, "What's that smell? It's so...amazing..."
He began to relax, letting his guard down. The sofa was comftorable, and he sat back, closing his eyes. Everything was right with the world, as far as he was concerned.

Cassandra got up and sat next to her. James looked up and saw her face. It was a beautiful face. There was something so warming and yet mysterious about it. She looked into James' eyes which had mystery. She grew closer and and closer to his face until their lips touched. They stayed in that position for quite a while, until Cassandra pulled away.

"I'm sorry. I don't know what I was thinking. Uhm, let me show you to your room. You must be tired."

Cassandra went to the stairs and waited for James. He followed shortly after. Step for step, he fell into her aroma. His voice caught in his throat as he looked at her...she was so beautiful, so exquiste. He looked into her eyes, captivated by their beauty.
"I...I..."
He slowly leaned forward, not exactly sure what he was going to do. His lips brushed hers, and then he kissed her. After a few seconds, he pulled back, his face bright red.
"I'm sorry...I didn't mean to..."
He looked very embarrassed, but still had that look of wonder and love to his eyes.

James' feet wlaked to the bed as did Cassandra's. Soon, they were both on the bed, Cassandra, under James. They looked into each others eyes. Love was in James, but there was mystery in Cassandra's. Cassandra's perfume filled the air and James fell into the aroma once again. He was in a spell that felt like it lasted forever.

OOC: I'm here! Forgive my absence, I've been a bit busy.

The young boy, James, returned to the pub with his answer from Cassandra.
"Tomorrow night? I was hoping to meet with her sooner, but that will do. Thank you and here is something for your trouble."
Valerie gave James seven pounds and then she turned to the bartender. She dropped a stack of pounds on the counter.
"That's for you if you'll inform me if any strange people stop by here. I'm sorry if we caused any trouble."
Valerie left the pub and Vale followed her.

"Valerie, where are we going now? And why are you so eager to see Cassandra?" Vale asked.
"I'll tell you about Cassandra later, if at all. Right now, we need to go to the docks to look for anyone else like us. You'd be surprised at how many vampyres travel by ship these days."
Vale wasn't listening. He was standing in the middle of the street, holding his stomach.
"I'm sorry, Vale. I forgot that you haven't even fed yet. We'll stop by the hospital first, okay?"
Vale nodded and followed his sister into the darkness.

Valerie and Vale watched as a man walked out of the front doors of the hospital. He looked like some kind of doctor.
"Alright, Vale. Leave this to me."
Valerie ran silently out of the alley and tackled the doctor to the ground. He rolled onto his back and tried to stab her with some sort of needle. She dodged it and knocked it out of his hands. Ignoring what Valerie had said, Vale ran up to help her. Then, a light of a lantern shone their way.
"Eh? What's this?"
Holding the lantern, was a police officer. Vale tried to run, but the bobby grabbed him by the collar.
"Oh no you don't You're not..."
Valerie jumped onto the bobby's back and Vale ran away. He grabbed his whistle and blew it several times until she knocked it out of his hand. Just as she was about to bite the bobby's neck, Valerie slipped off his back and fell to the ground unconcious. The bobby turned around and looked at Dr. Piers
who was holding an empty needle in his hand.
"Are you alright, Dr. Piers? What were those things? They didn't look human, that they didn't."
"Yes, I'm fine. Help me get this girl to the hospital. I'll be able to find out more there."

Vale's heart would have been pounding, if it was still beating that is. Several bobby's were chasing after him, but he managed to give them the slip. He found a large mansion that he could hide in for a little while and broke the window. Just as he was about to climb inside, he sensed someone behind
him and turned around.
"Cassandra?"

Cassandra stepped back a little ways and saw that it was Vale. She wondered why he was hiding there. She walked him up to the door and led him inside.

"Why were you hiding out there, Vale? Where's Valerie? She got caught trying to feed you some blood from the hospital didn't she? Typical."
"Uhm. How did you know all that? I mean, you weren't even there."
"Let's just say, a little birdy told me. You must be starving. Here, come with me."

She led Vale to the kitchen and pointed to where he could sit. After he sat down, Cassandra walked to a door and went downstairs to the cold storage room. She grabbed a bag of blood and came back upstairs. She sat right next to him.

"Still doesn't explain where Valerie is."
"But, the bobbys are after me!"
"The bobbys? Why are the...oh my god. She attacked Dr. Piers. Well, don't worry...as long as you're with me, they can't hurt you or get to you."
"Thanks, Cassandra. Wow, I didn't know you lived here. And...why didn't you want to meet with me and Valerie?"
"I...have a guest in the house. And this guest is not a vampyre. He's a human. I'll tell you later about him. But what I want to ask you is...what is Valerie up to?"
"Uh...I'm not sure. She won't tell me anything. She was going to the dock to find more vampyres. We split up with Matthew, Corin, Nathan, Charlie, Valerie, and I split up. Matthew and Corin stayed behind back where we met and Charlie and Nathan are supposed to give a report to someone. But, uhm...Valerie said something about...Nicholas."

Cassandra looked to Vale strangely. Something was up.

"What about Nicholas? What's going to happen to baby Nicky?"
"Well...Valerie is going to make him one of us. He's going to be just like you and me."
"Valerie is not like me and neither are you. You and Valerie were corrupted, I was born a vampyre. And, you have a good soul...Valerie, not so much. Listen..uhm..."

Cassandra looked up and saw James coming down the stairs. He entered the den and Vale and Cassandra went there as well.

Cassandra sat down in the large comforter and James and Vale sat on the sofa.

"I see you're up, James. I'd like you to meet a good friend of mine, Vale Allard. Vale, this gentleman is James. He's staying here with me until he gets some answers about something."
"I see. Uhm, Cassandra...Valerie is still..."
"I know. Vale, you're going to have to stay here. I'm going to search for her myself. They probably took her to the hospital. James, take care of Vale...and don't kill him. Like I said, he's a good friend and a...newborn vampyre. He was corrupted by force. He doesn't know a lot of things. Please, don't kill him. And Vale? Don't kill James. I need him for certain things. Alright, I'm going now. Take care, you two."

Cassandra grabbed her cloak and saw that her panther was still outside. She pointed to the window and it went there. She walked to the stable and got her horse. She got up on it and rode off into the night.

Soon, as she rode through the streets, she came upon the hospital. She got off and walked entered. She looked around for a sign and saw a police office pacing in front of a door.

Claudia tremebled slightly with the mere memory of what had just taken place. "That bloody old fogey, serves him right for trying to kill me" she muttered vainly to herself. Things had not gone well at the ball. Her former fiance had not only regonised her but was under the impression that she was a haunting foce that had killed off his other wives because she had not married him.

That of course was a pack of lies, when Claudia had first been sired she had gone back a few times to him, simply because he had been desirable to her. Young and fresh as he was in those days. She had been a little jelouse at the fact that he found another so soon after her, but she could not bring herself to kill out of any form of susposed passion that was open to her or him.

Kyle had dissapeared as well, simply gone under the mass of people who had disended on her when the old fogey had cried out and pointed at her. There was no guessing what horror's were being done to him and she had no strenght to fight back. She had fled, seeking some form of refuge from the struggeling and buselling.

She breathed out heavily and leant against the wall...and suddenly jumped away. This was no place for a vampire to be, London wasn't exactly the most friendly of societies but this hosipital was deadly and extravagent to any creature of the darkness that crossed it's path.

She was about to run once again when she senced something. "A pure born? no...." she sniffed lightly at the air, and then her mind twigged, "A day walker? By the blood of him, what is a day walker doing here?".

Carefully she crept foreward and saw Cassandra watching the police men standing idlely. No point in trying to guess what had happened here tonight, fresh blood was on the ground. Carefully she knelt and brushed her fingers in it, savouring the taste of someone pure blooded. She raised herself up and stole across the street like a shadow, not disturbing anything or making a sound.

She drew up behind Cassandera and guessed that she was the day walker, "My lady, why are you at this place? Don't you realise what it is, daywalker?"

ooc: sorry Akira, it's just the way my character speeks and her usage of the terms of society.

Kyle was breathing heavily, dead bodies all around him, his suit tattered and torn. He had kept his daggers sheathed behind his waist and was glad he bought them.

Kyle licked one of his blood stained blades, enjoying the taste. Now he had two problems. One was that now people would know vampires are here and that the other was to find Claudia.

He left the mansion and ran through the streets, jumping through the rooftops. He suddenly stopped as he sensed a vampyre's presence.

Not just one, but two. He looked over to see Claudia and another vampyre. He couldn't tell if she was either pure bred, turned, or a day walker. But it was no matter. She seemed to be a friend of Claudia.

Kyle jumped, swiftly landing right behind Cluadia, slightly scaring both of them.
