Okay Britain is the worst place for anime ever!
About 14 people in my school of 2000 like it. Thats 0.17 out of 100 (i thik :wigout: )
There is almost NO anime on cept Cartoon Network in which there is very little
I get all my anime/manga resources from Amazon cos over here that is the only place to get it over here
I posted something on a skater website with my homepage as an Anime website and when someone replied they said and quote " Why do you like that Japanese **** its all **** just like you!"
Thats just how popular it is, we are a dieing race here in England...

I read alot of anime. Maybe not alot, we don't get much over here. But when i do i get stared, pointed or laughed at( Maybe all 3). I also get told it's all hentai. When will the world learn that Anime is just as good as anyother book or live action flick. When i asks. This is mads, mads i tells ya. p.s i have an obsession with Love Hina.

I guess it depends who you ask. All of my friends love anime and video games and all that, but those are just the kind of people that I choose to hang out with. My school has an anime club, and we get a decent amount of people at every meeting (a little over 10 at least, I'd say). So in that regard, we do have people where I live that are really into anime, but for the most part when you mention anime, people will judge it as:

a. Only for little kids.
b. Only for perverts.
c. Similar to the anime that they sometimes notice on TV (i.e. not very good, lol)

What they don't realize is that they're judging it as animation first, film second, rather than the other way around. But if they don't care about taking the time to properly judge it, then I don't care about what they think. :p

So overall, it really isn't that popular, at least in my school, but I don't let it bother me.

Some people just don't get the point of anime, they never see the "deeper meaning" behind it. I've given up on trying to convince my friends that anime is not like the "cartoons" their used to. And most anime that comes here turns into a fad for little kids. So many people here like anime only because its a fad.
