Warped Tour

Just got back from the Warped Tour where it stopped in Brockton, Mass. It was ******* awsome. When my and my friends got there, we listened to a band from my home town called Roxie Monoxide play a few songs before the opened the gates. The show was supposed to start at 12, but The Starting Line decided to start playing at 11:30, which was no problem for me. They're show was pretty good, they played some of my favorite songs. I quickly ran over to another stage to catch the end of Yellow Card, which wasn't a disapointment. I then ran back for The Atari's. I wanted to see All American Rejects but there was a 30 minute wait between when The Atari's stopped playing the All American Rejects started on another stage. So I decided to watch some of Simple Plan. Uhg. After watching 10 minutes, I got a marker, and wrote on my shirt "If you came here to see Simple Plan, kill yourself". Simple Plan was horrible. So I left to wait for All American Rejects to start playing. They were kick arse. The pits with them were the roughest I had seen yet that day. A band called Mad Caddies that I had not heard of before was about to start, so I thought I would go see them. They were pretty good. Good enough to want to buy their CD. They're songs were fun to mosh too. After that I had about an hour wait until a band I liked was going to play. When the time was up, MEST was about to start, so I ran to that stage. MEST was awsome. They really put on a good show. Though the roughest and most violent show was the next one, the Dropkick Murphys. Think of about 300 big, strong, "I'll kill you if you look at my funny" Irishmen all in circle pits. I started to enter one, but got punched in the face, and that was the end of my trying to mosh at Dropkick Murphys. People were basically falling out of the sky from crowd surfing. They did put on a good show though. Played some awsome songs. After that I just basically hung around, talking to people I knew, until the last show. Less Than Jake ******* brought the house down. They were the last, and with out a doubt, best show of the whole Tour. They started out with "Gainsville Rock City" and the rest just went from there. It was fuckin intense. Moshing, jumping, screaming the songs as loud as I could, catching falling crowd surfers...it was the best. I got a face full of this one girls arse who was crowd surfing, I turned my head so I could grab her better and throw her on, and I noticed it was a girl I knew. lol. I said "Hi Mel." She just laughed and said "Hi Matt" before she was thrown on. At Less Than Jake's last song, they had everyone(and I mean it) so a figure 8 circle pit around the one sound booths they had set up for their stage, and another sound booth for another stage. It was insane. The whole crowd running, pushing, shoving all in a circle 8 direction. They filmed it for the DVD, so if you end up getting the Warped Tour 2003 DVD, you'll see us in the figure 8 circle pit. :) If the Warped Tour is going to stop anywhere where you people live, I suggest you go. It was awsome. I went last year, and this year just blew it away.

... And you did not see AFI... though they might not have been there. I do not think they were sticking around for the whole tour. >.>

Yes, I went there this year. Three times. There was a half-assed Warped Tour in Wichita, Kansas; another in Kansas City, Kansas; and the final in Saint Louis, Missouri.

I would say the best one for me was Kansas City. It was the only one we really were not dying from heat in. Saint Louis would have been good if we were not so burnt from the first two shows, and one of my friends was not in the hospital (for non-Warped Tour related reasons). She did make it back in time to see AFI, though. Only thing was that a thunderstorm began to roll in right before they were to play. Thus Warped Tour was cancelled... -__-

The people I saw were... AFI, Rancid, Andrew W.K. (not too fond of the music but he puts on a good show), Thrice, the Unseen, Rise Against, Avenged Sevenfold, 2 Cents, Mad Caddies, and Dropkick Murphys. I do believe that was all. We wanted to see Tsunami Bomb, but one of us was usually not feeling the best when they were playing, lol.

I had a good time, though. The only thing I regret is this darned tan I am still trying to get rid of. -__- I did get to meet Jade Puget, though, as anyone who has spoken to me on AIM should know if they have looked at my buddy icon. That and I posted the picture in one of my threads in the picture forum. I think I shall just post it again for kicks. =P

I went two years ago when it was in WA. It was fun. I stood right next to Good Charlotte; eventhough they are an awful band. The heat was sweltering so it didn't make for a perfect day, that, and the fact that the venue it's always it is three hours away in the middle of no-man's land...

AFI was not there, much to my disapointment. I just got my warped tour photo's back, I would post them but I don't have a scanner. I'll see if I can scan them at my friends and I'll post 'em here.

I went to Warped Tour. I saw Mad Caddies, Story of the Year, Thrice, Destruction Made Simple, The Used, Glassjaw, Big D, and I think that was it.

Well during Thrice, Simple Plan was on the other main stage playing, haha, I saw like no crowd surfing or anything. The Thrice crowd started to chant F-CK YOU! to Simple Plan while they were playing, oh man, it was so awesome. Haha, it was really funny too!

During Thrice's first two songs, it was insane if you were in the front like I was, because the pushing was insane, then I left to get out of it for like 3 seconds and found my friends again, we stayed towards the middle. Myself and my other 2 friends all went crowd surfing. That rocked so much! Then when we got back together, my friend was clearing space for a pit, and I went crazy on him, so it cleared lots of space and PEOPLE USED OUR PIT! WOO IT WAS AWESOME! I mean, cause normally people don't use our pits, but it was sick, their pits were intense.

And the only band I skanked for was Mad Caddies, they were awesome in concert. And Piro, they played Preppie Girl for us =P

I thought [b]Mad Caddies were great. I got an awsome pic of Chuck Robertson doing a dance onstage. If I can get it scanned, I'll post it here.
