Squall Posted August 14, 2003 Author Share Posted August 14, 2003 -Malnourished Hopeless Aqua Feild- Ijimeru, Kori, Shape, Arika, and Enix suddenly appeared in a wet grassland area. (sorry if I missed someone or something) They slowly walked towards the dungeon, weapons drawn. Ijimeru took a big gulp when he saw the entrance. A large skull with an open mouth. He took a deep breath and walked in, saying 'I'm just being paranoid' over and over under his breath. As soon as they entered, they were greeted by a moderator who told them to turn back. "Thank you for playing the world. This dungeon is currently out of service, and will be running again shortly. Please exit to the feild, and then to the root town." The group ignored him and went deeper in. The dungeon floor was lined with the corpses of dead monsters. Shape poked one with his sword, and it immediately dissapeared. "That's odd." Enix said calmly, poking another monster. The door at the far side of the hall was barred off. Kori sighed. "Dead end, let's head back." Ijimeru looked confused. "You need some fresh air, pal." He slung his sword over his shoulder and passed through the bars, deeper into the dungeon. The others looked on, and then at each other. On the other side, Ijimeru found himself in a small dirt room with a window on the far side. Suddenly, a small glowing green bug landed on the hilt of Ijimeru's sword. He watched it until it took off again, and landed on a silver haired wavemaster huddled in the corner. "Tsukasa?" At that moment a girl with dark blue hair and small wings passed through Ijimeru and walked over to the boy. "I apologize for the inconveinience, but I really wanted this chance to talk to you." Tsukasa was silent. The girl closed her eyes and looked at the ground. Finally, Tsukasa spoke. "I guess, this is more than just a game for me." Ijimeru couldn't belive his eyes. "That is Tsukasa." Outside, the others pushed to try and get through, but to no avail. "I can't hack in." Arika said silently. "I definately can't, I'm stuck in here." Enix said. "If we can't get in, what do we do?" I've all ready tried and it seems like you can't" akira said looking at enix. "I might be able to. I made some hacking programs and most of them work but I don't know how long this one will be able to keep a door open" enix said aiming the staff at the door and moved it down. A light flickered in a line on the door then it seperated opening a way in. Enix walked in side and saw ijimeru watching two other people talk. "I think it's just a recording" enix said walking up to ijimeru. "It's possible but isn't that the tsukasa player" ijimeru asked pointing at tsukasa. "Ya it's tsukasa and the girls the former leader of the crimsion knights. Come on I don't know how long the door will be open for" enix said to ijimeru starting to head back. She didn't like the sound of it. Suddenly, the lights flickered on and as they did, figures appeared out of nowhere. Arika knew that when things were calm and quiet, it meant bad news. But somehow, they seemed familiar to her. She couldn't put her finger on it. But the animals they were riding were grunties. One had sunglasses on, another had a tie around its neck, another had a large pink bow, and the last two were twins. One had two silver earrings on its ears along with a white bandana around it and the other had two gold earrings on its ears with a black bandana around it. Kara (to subaru): what happened here? Subaru: I don't know, and i don't know where they came from either. Arika: we hacked in. Subaru: But how did you find this place, no one can come here without someone who is stuck in the game... Kara, did you bring them here? Kara: no Subaru: then who? Enix: I did miss. Subaru: my name is subaru, not miss, now please, how did you get stuck? "Your planning to contact helba" subaru asked. "Yes a deal was made with the player killer sora even though I think it was a bad idea. The deal was that he is alowed to join us" enix said as he took them to the desert field. They reapered with the others. "That was fast" nitsu said. "Hello subaru and hello to you to tsukasa" crim said standing up. "Has there been any word from sora or helba" enix asked. "Sorry but we haven't herd any thing from them" valiant said. "So what is the story here" subaru asked. "Me, nitsu valiant and siroken faught against a monster that defeated us. We were sent to that church field and found out that we were traped inside the game" enix said. "That doesn't explain how you were able to make a gate to get into where we were" subaru said. "I made some programs for this kind of problem based on the events with tsukasa. The program I used was to open a lock and make a door. Not to open a gate to another field" enix said. "If that's true then some one messed with your program then" crim said. "But why would some one want to change a program that was ment to be a key into a gate" nitsu asked. "Who realy knows. Confusion spread as he looked oddly at Him. Tsukasa: What are you... Talking about? Ijimeru: Don't screw with my head! You, and the painted man, and the naive heavyblade, you were in there being asked if you were a guy. Something struck a cord in Tsukasa, and he remained silent. Ijimeru: Come On! Then you were in that room telling Subaru that this was more than a game to you! And then I hear (glares hard at Enix) that you were a recording! Which one is it? Subaru: Mr? Ijimeru: Ijimeru. Subaru: Well, Ijimeru, Tsukasa and I haven't been in the holy grounds all day. Ijimeru: So you're recordings? (puts Enix in a head lock) How about you tell me whats going on? Ijimeru let go of enix's head. "The world records some data. I think what we saw back in those fields were recorded data. I think because it was imcomplete that's why it faded" enix said as he started to catch his breath. "Why would those moments be recorded" subaru asked. "Who knows. Maybe some ones planing to use them against you. I herd there was some strange copy's of tsukasa in the net slum" enix said as he sat down. "That's true but the field was eventualy distroyed. A theroy was composed that the copy's were used before the origanle tsukasa came" crim said standing up. "So then what were the images for then" subaru asked. "I don't belive that the world would record those moments on purpose so I think some one is useing the images for some thing else. I don't know if they're ment to help us or go gainst us" enix said as he sat down. "So what's the net slum" ijimeru asked putting him in another head lock. "A place where old data, codes and bugs that escaped the debuggers go. From what I know there are a couple of them around. The recording's probaply came from one of them. She stopped and jumped into the air and landed on something in midair. The others stared at her. She was certainly a weird one. Arika lifted her staff up and a small swirl of fog and mist appeared. They all stared up. Soon a pillar of fog and mist hit the ground and a dragon appeared. It wasn't misty, but the mist surrounded it. Arika dropped down and walked to the dragon. She pointed outward and the dragon flew that way. She jumped down and she tapped the rock three times and a chair appeared. " oh so many people have come and left my favorite spot a lot today. hmmm there predicament sounds amusing, i'm sure my mistress would love to hear of this" the person in the shadows had been sleeping as everyone had come and gone, he waited to make sure that he would not be seen and jumped down from the rafters. He flipped backwards off the rafter, landing ever so gracefully on his paws, " cats always do land on their feet." He is revealed as a silver cat twin blade right before he gates out. Ijimeru's eyes darted from side to side, and then closed with a sigh of relief. Ijimeru: Huh, mail's here. *round of sighs* Enix: You moron! Ijimeru: Hey! It's not every day that a body appears in front of my eyes is i- Enix: Body? Ijimeru's face went from a glare to a nod. "Yeah, I'll set up a PMB (private message board.)" Suddenly, a large wooden sign materialized in front of them. On it was an article with a picture of a poor man's body. The article read: [i] Man struck down by unknown source. He created a virus in the hopes that the world would someday be destroyed. He was caught while trying to activate it. They thought they had destroyed the virus, but enough of it remained that it was still active, though they couldn't detect it. For many years it has lain dormant, only to be awakened by desperate attempts to destroy it. Because it was not properly activated, it has gained a mind of it's own. It plans on destroying not only the world, but all who have contact with it. Subaru: but how do you know all this? Kara: the traitor, he was my grandfather, My parents tried to destroy it, but failed and it killed them. It got outside into the real world somehow, and has begun killing. It has somehow gained the alliance of Sora, and seems to be Abel to create a limitless army of guardians. I don't know anything more. Tsukasa: but how do we destroy it, those guardians are near unbeatable. Kara: It may be very strong, but it is still a virus, still a program, and all programs can be deleted. Subaru: But how? Kara: It will be risky, we will need outside help, and will risk the lives of everyone involved, but it is possible. Only... Tsukasa: what? Kara: If we were to fail, then the world would be destroyed, and everyone who was logged in at the time, would... Subaru: what? Would what? Kara: Would die. I know my brother would want to. I have some friends who are hackers who have had dreams about doing some thing this big and have been planning for it in case they're needed. I also know some people who like this world better than the real one and they would give up there lives to save it" enix said smilling. "How do you know so many people" akira asked. "That's for me to know and it's none of you buisness" enix said. "Fine then. Send them a message but warn them about what could happen to them" subaru said. "All ready on it" enix said as he sat down on a stone and started sending out messages. As soon as he sent them he started getting replys that they would help. He relaxed and went back to talk. "Basically, this virus only affects people involved in the world, right?" Kara: Yes. Ijimeru: then why would that bum be affected? He doesn't have enough money to buy the game, let alone the computor. Enix: Maybe he was a n internet cafe junkie. Ijimeru: *Shakes head. No way. This guy was permenently drowned in alchahol... I'm going to log out and check the area, before the cops clean it up completely. Here. *Objects float from his hand into everyone elses. As he walked around he saw some land set up like a stage where he was to meet the ones he called. He saw wave masters, heavy blades, twin blades and long arms in the crowd. All 23 of the people who replied to his message had come except for the orther 22. He walked on to the stage thinking about what he wold say. "Fellow players of the world. I have told you why I have called you here. I called to ask for help. As you know, me and some of my friends have been traped inside the world. Some of you also know about that attack that happened. All these events are connected some how" enix said as people in the crowd talked about what he was saying. "So i'm asking for your help to defeat the one who is doing this. But as I said there is a chance you'll die from helping us. If you feel like not getting involved or want to back down after it's begun i'll understand" enix said looking around. The crowd started talking about what they would do. A long arm came up once a answer was decided. "It's been decided enix. To protect the world and get you and your friends out we'll join you in your fight" the long arm said as the crowd raised there weapons and cheered. "I thank you my friends. Go and train because I could call you at any time. If you encounter a unbeatable do not fight it because you could end up like me. Trust me, it hurts like heck after it beats you and you reform" enix said. Some of the crowd laughed. Some of crowd left to prepare and some stayed to talk to the others. Ijimeru: there are more who have died not at their computer? Kara: Yes, my brother. She stands there for a moment, and then turns and runs deeper into the cave. Enix and ijimeru start to follow her, but subar stops them. Subaru: let her go, she needs some time by herself, It's hard to lose someone that close. back when he was still alive, they played the game together, all they ever talked about was eachother, they were inseperable. and then, one day, she came alone, she becametrapped in the game, couldn't log out, but she didn't care, because she said she had nothing to go back to. Subaru: What do y- before she could finish her sentence, golden rings encircled Ijimeru, and he dissapeared. -Koki st. Starfe residence- A boy rubbed his eyes and walked away from his coputor. He grabbed a set of keys and put a foot out the door. He hesitated and walked back inside. In one of the droors, a rusty revolver and a box of bullets lay hidden under some clothes. The boy loaded the gun and hid ti in the back of his pants. [i]Just in case[/i] The streets were littered with trash as the boy slowly trudged down the sidewalk. The skies threatened rain and the wind picked up. At last the boy got to an alleyway, where a cop was packing up. He looked up at the boy and smiled. Cop: Gene! Why are you here? You haven't been out of your house in weeks! Gene: Right... You already cleaned up? Cop: Nope. Nothing to clean up. This place is bare. Gene: sorry if I don't take your word for it. Cop: Suit yourself. I can't stop you from wasting your time. The squad car's door shut and the car sped off into the distance. Gene inched his hand closer to the gun. A black cat jumped downfrom a rooftop and landed behind Gene. He turned quickly, slipping in a puddle and landing farther down the allyey, smashing his head into a brick wall. His hand went for his gun, but it flew to the street curb on his fall down. Ijimeru: Oww... Huh? there's something you don't see everyday. Four of the bricks he had crashed into were now buldging and looked to be trying to push themselves out of their holes. Gene grabbed one of the bricks and tried to tug it loose. It remained stuck. She thought nothing of it and stayed where she was. She figured instead of having an attitude, she might as well make friends. These people were the only people here who could help her. She twirled her swords around while her staff was settled on her back. She stopped twirling them and closed her eyes. There was a sudden change in the wind. What was more strange was that...there was no wind. They were in an area, where, although there is circulation, no wind can get in. She opened her eyes and followed where the wind was coming from. I think you'll be pleased, though. "GNYAAA!" The brick finally came loose. And more bricks started to fly. They pushed themselves out of the way, revealing a small door way. Gene rubbed his head gingerly, having been launched back on pulling the brick. (start of intro song, very quiet) He walked through the doorway, revealing a very odd room. The walls and the floor were stone, pillars of diamond rose from the side, flames bouncing on the jetting edges. This wasn't what Gene was looking at. Suspended upside down, was the horribly sinister girl. She was standing on a pedistool, her purple hair flowing up to her fingertips. The celing was transparrent glass, revealing the holy grounds. Gene: W-what's going on? In the holy grounds, The cat creature head for the exit as his ears perked up and he spun around. Tears ran down the statues face. With a loud gong, the doors to the holy grounds sealed themselves, as did the brick wall. ???: What the hell? Gene's eyes darted furiosly for another way out. Chains slithered out of the walls, wrapping around his arms and legs. They pulled tight, suspending him in the air. The cat man tried to block the chains, but they went straight through his weapon and bound him as well. ???: NOO! Gene: The evil girl started to giggle, her eyes still unrevealed. Subaru: Tsukasa! Tsukasa slumped to the floor, out cold. All over the world various players did the same. The statue in the holy grounds started to quake. A transparent pale little girl that looked exactly like the statue emerged, her eyes wet with tears. (song gets much louder) The evil girl continues lauging as she flies into Gene, Ijimeru now a shadow behind him. The cat creature held back a scream as the girl flew closer. Both girls passed through their victums at the same time. Black electricity surged down the chains and into Gene, as white into the cat. "GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" "Well that answers the replys for the last 22 people" enix said to him self as he headed back to the others. Once he got to them he found them surroungding tsukasa. "What happened" enix asked. "We don't know. He just blacked out" subaru said. Enix started getting a message from one his his brother of events. "It seems that people are being knocked out but no one knows why" enix said. "Is any of the people you asked for help knocked out" subaru asked. "No there all fine. I've talked to them and fourty of them will help us fight while the last five will make programs to help fight against the gaurdians" enix said. "O.k that's good to know but what will we do about tsukasa" crim asked lifting him up. "I think we should go back to that church. When we appeared there after being beaten by the unbeatable I was wondering why we came there" enix said preparing to leave. "I'll come with you. Some thing may be happening there" crim said. "If he's going i'm comeing" nitsu said walking up to them. "Fine then the rest of you keep a eye on tsukasa" enix said. He warped him self along with ntsu and crim back to the church. They reapered in front of the church and they tied to go into the church but it was sealed. "Some thing must be going on in there. Kara: The virus has begun to take over the world, we are down one person, it has discovered us, If we do not act quickly, we will not be able to act at all. The virus has it's own place, it lies yet undiscovered in the world. I know how to get there, but we won't be able to get out until it's over. "Does this have something to do with not being able to logout or the church being sealed?" "The virus could keep the church sealed.... but thats very odd...." Kara explained looking at the sealed door of the church. "So.... what do we do?" Nitsu asked Enix and Crim. Crim walked over to the door and began to examin it. "Easy... we break it down.... Keep on your guard when we get in..." Crim replied steping back near them. "Together now.... 1, 2, 3! The door toppled over from the combined strenght and inside the church was.........
