Anyways....Disturbed all the way! I say Disturbed is one of the best on the list. Almost all the things they feel and write into a song turns out great. You can feel what's going on with them through their music. I love listing to their music the most. Then again all the bands you listed as a choice are good. I could listen to Metallica all day. and while I haven't heard much Disturbed and Godsmack other than the radio singles, I'm not that big a fan of Disturbed, going off of what I've heard. I mean, you must have some sort of opinions on the bands you've listed at the least. Metallica doesn't appeal to me anymore. Some of the older stuff rocks, and so do some other random recent songs... but they're not my thing. I think the other three are tripe, to be blunt. In Linkin Park's case, that's me being nice. Metallica (which I'm totally surprised you spelled right since you couldn't seem to get metallic right at all) and LP are in totally different leagues. There's no comparison here, it's a bunch of nonsense. This thread should be closed since there's several topics on Metallica, LP, and some on Disturbed and Godsmack. PS: Linkin Park isn't heavy metal, but good try though. You should try lisening to something other than mainstream music before you go making a topic about it. wild thang Posted August 5, 2003 Share Posted August 5, 2003 i love metallica, but theyre not even in the same time period as the other 3. i havent really heard music from the other 3 bands, but even if i had, i would still like metallica more. different style and a lot better. i like a lot of 70s and 80s rock like aerosmith, kiss, guns 'n roses, motley crue, lynyrd skynyrd, van halen, acdc, ted nugent and other bands. i love rock... Disturbed and LP can be more similiar at times than many people would like to admit. Godsmack and Disturbed also have a very similiar sound at times. Metallica still puts stuff out, obviously... so that argument doesn't work either. I think the main idea here is that people who focus on this sort of music will most likely be interested in all of those bands. That doesn't change the fact that the thread pretty much sucks, but that's another story. Really though, TN is right on several levels. The thread is rather useless. Metallica and LP have been talked about to the point that I doubt anyone has anything worth saying anymore. I'd also like to reiterate his point about broadening your musical horizons.
