I hope that this isnt a spam-worthy thread (and dont think it is) but i just wondered if anyone here finds a compulsion to read closed threads... i dont understand why i do it, maybe to see if they were yelled at or something. I just think it is a strange habit, and does anyone else have something similar. Or are there any other annoying/ strange habits you have?

Hmm... I guess I do tend to read some closed threads because I like to see why they're closed. I usually don't look at them all that much anymore, but I do like to see what happened.

So I guess you could say I like to look at closed threads, and I like to see what happens. Yes I do.

I read closed threads - the ones in RPG Section are funny because The Harliquin is so strict. I want to see how bad members have been.

Yeah, I like to read closed threads. I feel drawn to them sometimes. ^^; First, I want to know why it was closed, like what kind of stupid thread it was. I'm also interested in what the mod who closed it said. Sometimes they're sarcastic or something like that, and I think it's funny. I can learn from the mistakes made, too.

I have no compulsion to look at closed thread, mainly due to the fact that most of them are Taylor Hewitt's recently.

if it has a weird (or just really stupid) thread subject, I'll read it to see who all said what *cough*. cuz I'm a bus-body like that :cross:. for some reason I also like looking at profiles of banned members and reading their final posts before they were banned, to see if they wrote anything particularly stupid and such. cuz I'm a busy-body. lol.

I have no compultion to pay any attention to what you have to say. Your opinion does not effect me. Good day.

I like reading old posts. Even if they aren't locked. I mean I recently read my hello topic and I didn't know Zeh was banned when I joined he was a mod! ^^

Thank you for writing a totally unrelated post in a somewhat decent topic. Indeed, have a good day.

Heh, I always read closed threads. Whether to see why someone was banned, why the thread was closed, or what the mods said when they closed it. Their remarks are occasionally funny. :D

They are treated just like everyone else.

I always read the final few posts in a closed topic, or whatever it takes to find out what exactly happened. No matter what topic it is, it is good to know what is going on around these boards. Especially if you are a staff member.

Yeah... anyways I thought he was a good guy. I heard it was for spamming and inpersonating staff. Impersonating? He was a mod :P. And for the comment about him not being exempt from the rules. I wasn't saying that they don't effect him. I was saying he's a mod. Not a proper one from what I hear but mods usually follow the rules, especially. But now I'm getting off topic. I think I read closed threads so I can avoid making that mistake. I think most people do ^^.

Yeah sure. Anyway I don't bother reading the locked topics because they are usually locked because they're just "Hello i'm new" or other worthless things like that. All the interesting topics are probably deleted. Unless it's a rather long topic, then I'll browse through a little.

I gotta go with wild thing on this one. I read them just to see why they were basically closed. Mostly its either spam or something that breaks the rules...now lately it just seems to be people insulting other people. I just like to see that the mods at least close useless threads.

That's too funny...

Anyway, as a mod I always feel obligated to look at closed threads. Sometimes it gives me an idea of which members are causing trouble at the moment, and the closed threads are usually more interesting than the active ones.

Morbid fascination, heh.

It depends who started the thread, where it is, what the subject reads, etc. Also, who closed it.

I guess I'm just as likely to look at a closed thread as an open one with the same title. If it's not obvious from the beginning why it's closed, it's good to find out, I suppose.

Plus, you get to read amusing comments by some people.

The best ones are in Adverture Arena. I love to see Harlaquin in action yelling and telling off people. Oooo it send shivers down my spine. Another good place to look is general.

[offtopic]I have made some good threads though. Just look at "what does your name mean". That's just one example. Now don't reply to this or quote me cuz ur gonna look for something mean to say like "oh thats nothing 8 or 9 pages big deal ive seen hundreds". Whatever. Like I care.[/offtopic]

They['re the only locked topics I don't bother with :p Other than that, it's an interesting way to pass time if you don't have anything to say on the boards, or you know what you have to say is spammy :drunk:

Yes Logan. You always agree with Raiha or Harry or PoisonTongue if they are saying something bad about me. And I'll have you know most of my threads are not closed and many are quite successful.

I tend not to bother reading them. If they're locked, they're obviously either stupid enough to be locked, or I never cared to read about the topic when it was unlocked. If I had posted in the thread before it was locked, then I read it to see what happened.

Since I close many of the topics in this forum(and other than Staff, this is the only forum I visit daily), I know why many are closed.

However, if anyone else closes it, I rarely go in and read it. Unless the subject interests me, I have no real reason to. I don't usually question the motives of my peers, unless asked to. I normally leave that up to the authority.

And I can tell you, if this erupts into an arguement between Harry and Logan and Taylor, THIS topic will go--and all three dealt with to the extent of my power to do so. The insults and bickering are pointless and vain. It shows immaturity in all parties involved. Grow up, all of you.
