this applies mostly to those among you currently deciding what they want to do with your life, though I am also very interested in the opinions of those who have decided.

At the moment I am having to make a choice that will shape a fair chunk of my life. It is simply 'What next?'
I know I want to go to University, but which one, and for what? My original plan was to apply for Natural Sciences at Cambridge, looking to specialize in Biochemistry, but now I'm really not sure.

This leaves me very worried about what on earth I am going to do now. Go where? Study what? With a view to become what?

Hehe.. I'm only 12, but I have planned out a decent amount of my life... I plan on applying for Stanford (Or is it Standford..?) and majoring in probably something involving literature... And then I want to be a teacher, preferably for a college or university.. ^_^ I'll probably teach Japanese if I work at an American university, but if I'm really lucky I'll move to Japan and teach something involving the United States, whether it be a US history class or English as a second language..

I'm a senior in high school. Right now, I'm pretty likely to end up at U of Minnesota, Twin Cities. I'd like to take courses in various languages/linguistics and/or art (relating to animation.)

Two different things, but I'm very interested in both.

I can hardly say that I've made any solid decisions yet, heh...I don't really expect to do that for quite a while. But, I've found some things I'm enthusiastic about, and that's a pretty solid start.

I'll be visiting a some more colleges this summer/fall, so we'll see about that, too.

I'm turning 13 soon, but that isn't really making me worry about my future just yet. I'm waiting for high school right now, where I'll be able to learn Japanese as a second language. I'm going into 8th this year, so I'll be stuck learning Spanish >.<.

So, I have thought about my future AFTER college, but not much. If I do graduate out of high school (actually, I'm more worried about surviving) I will probably go into law school to become a laywer. They make a lot of money, and once I've got enough to support myself (and my family if I've got one) I'll start doing things I like to do, like write or do animation. It's very common these days for people to do that, but I'm not following them, I'm following my plan.

I hope that gave you an idea, or at least answered any questions you had about my future. That's pretty much it. Wow... I did all that without my brain!! Cool!! (If you don't understand that last sentance, look in my sig. You'll understand.)

~Laterzez!! :cross:~

It's not the age for me to think about the future right now.

I do worry if I can get into the college I want. What if I don't???

Hey, my goal is the same as dbzaminegrl. Lawyer. It's my dream; I've been wanting to be a lawyer ever since a little girl.

And part time police is my second choice after lawyer. It may be dangerous but I think it's challenging. Though you can't really earn money as a police but at least you're helping people.

They are not what I should think of right now, so I'll leave until later in highschool. ^_^

I plan on being either a music journalist or a forensic scientist. In college, I'm going to try to a double major. Yea, that's the skinny of it.

ARGH! Damn you people who live close enough to Cambridge to go there! I love Cambridge, I've only been there once but I fell in love with it and I would love to go there for university. As things stand, me living in terra nullius and all, I will go to University of Queensland to study medicine, or Queensland University of Technology to study forensic science.

I might be moving to Europe in a while though, so if I do I might get to do my time in Oxford or Cambridge.

Rock star is my dream too, and although I'm told I have quite a talent for music, it is only a dream. I'll probably give it a go, but I want to get a degree too in case.

I actually thought I was quite a long way from Cambridge, but i suppose the other side of the country is actually quite close compared to some!

Personally... I'm up for doing some time in a university in Scotland... Not Edinburgh, that's way too elite, but somewhere in Southern Scotland. Or somewhere in Northern England, I haven't really decided yet, doing computer Science. I'm gonna do my first year in my based university then apply for an overseas exchange to an American university. *big grin* I've wanted to study in America forever and ever, so I'm trying really hard to see if the year exchange thing works out.

I'm due to get my AS Level results on Thursday *cringe* so, that should help me decide what I'd be best suited to go for. Hopefully I can do my A-Levels and slip into a decent university. after that... who knows... I know I want to go to America to live at some point too O_o doing what with my degree is anyone's best guess ^_^;;

I've already got the next 4 years planned out at the very least. I'll be joining the US Air Force on December 16th. It may sound wierd, but it's been a dream of mine to join up. MOst of family has gone in, and it seems like I'm the only one in my generation of my family that will be joining.

Well, my dream is to be a manga creator. YOu know like creating the plot, the plot twists, and the end of the sereis while also creating the characters, but letting others take care of the script and major art.

But what i'll probably do is go to some college, preferablly Duke (i got some kind of test from them cuz i scored high on the ITBS test) Major in history, and probably teach history anywhere while paying for my intution by teaching martial arts on campus. After i gradaute, i would probably teach a school history class save up my money and simutaenuisly open a small martial arts school. i would probably move my mangas to the side for my free time.

Wow, i got it all planned out.

I'm currently in college. I'm majoring in interactive media. Web design is what I'd like to do, but we'll see. I don't know what I'm really going to do... mostly because you never know what jobs are out there.

At this point in my life, such things seem so futile as it is. All the money I make at work basically goes to my car, which I mostly use to drive to work in the first place. I'm oiling this big, broken machine it by doing all this stuff I really would rather not do, but unexplainably have to. It's like if you try to explain your role in society on that basic level, you just wind up talking in a circle. It's all so intertwined that you either work with it, or completely remove yourself from it. I don't know what's worse. I guess all you can do is do something you like, because you're stuck inside this circle no matter what.

So yeah, I don't really know what I'm going to do or what my future might hold. All I know is that I am slightly looking forward to seeing what I can accomplish, while the rest of me is not looking foward to becoming a slave to a pay check for the next 45 years.

I think if I open my own music store, I'd at least accomplish enough that I'd be content with my choices and my future... even if the store didn't stick around.

I was the biggest worrier alive, until the end of 8th grade for me.

In 7th grade I had already planned out my entire life, until the age of 35, just in case!

I plan to go to a University in New York or California somewhere, planning and hoping on a scholarship. Double majoring in Writing and Journalism. Then during my time there, I'll be interning at a local news station, or paper, or something along those lines. I'll get my BA and continue for another 4-6 year on getting my P.h.d, and then hopfully if I'm not too busy, I can go and either try out for plays in NYC, or movies/ TV in L.A!

I'm going to lead a hard and busy life........but I'm going to love every second of it!:wigout:

I'm currently only in Year Nine, and atthe moment I'm not doing particularly well in my grades, at all. I'm failing Computer Studies, and this is the subject I want to have a career in. Computer programming, game-making, sofware-making, building computers... along the lines of computers anyway.

I do have a sideline to cross if I don't make it to a career in computers, though. A Professional Rugby League player, or a Professional Race Driver will do me mighty fine. My favourite of all sports, it just be a dream-come-true to actually compete in my favourite sport/s.
