magic_raditz
I know that the card game for .hack is a little bit old news, but some info just came out in my latest gaming magazine (scrye). here is the article: "Dechiper announced that it has secured the rights to produce a trading-card game based on the .hack anime and videogame series. The game .hack//ENEMY will release in october and comes hot on the heels of the .hack//sign series and the series of .hack games for the playstation 2. The .hack universe revolves around a near-future virtual community called the world. Players in the trading card game play from the point of view of the monsters and other entities trying to corrupt the world from within The game is won by the first player to accumulate a certain number of victory points. The art of the game comes from the playstation games and the anime. The games tournament system will also support the fictional role playing experience of the world. Players will earn points for each game played in a tournament, with extra points earned for a victory. When a player reaches 1,000 points (which should take four or five tournaments) the player "levels up" and will recieve one of five exclusive level-up cards in the mail from dechiper. The game is designed to be less complicated then deciphers "lord of the rings" and "star trek" trading card games and should take 20 to 30 minuets to play" So what do you think? I think its interesting that you play from the villians point of view! This should be interesting.
AzureWolf
Eh, Project .hack isn't popular enough for a successful card game based on it. If there's nice artwork on the cards, and if it's unique to the card game, then there might be a reason to get it. And even though that tournament setup with the special card in the mail sounds exciting, I'm already deep into Yugioh (the only TCG I've ever played), and $$$ seems to be a TCGs favorite meal. I doubt I'm willing to shell so much around.
Domou
When it does come out ill buy a few packs just to check it out and if it isn't that good (Ill compare it to magic of course. :d) then ohwell, Ill give up on it. But the concept of the card game that is based on an RPG does intrigue me.
ilikepie
I want it! Sounds like an interesting concept, playing from the monsters' point of view. I told myself after i got out of yu-gi-oh that I would never play another TCG again because they're too expensive but .hack//ENEMY sounds like fun!:D
OtakuSennen
Hehe, I'll definitely check it out.. At the Anime Con in Anaheim in July they were showing people how to play.. The line was really long so I didn't get in it, but I watched over peoples' shoulders, and it looked really interesting.. The cards were nice and high quality too.. They were pretty thick. It all looked like it fit in well with The World.. The player's mat and the backgrounds of the cards and everything... And the card in the mail thing sounds really awesome. I've stopped playing Yu-Gi-Oh now... :p Time for a new money-blowing TCG for me to obsess over. *hums the .hack//SIGN opening theme*

DemonzDragoon
.hack cards?, they already have the video game. Cards would be pointless.

Mind telling us how you see that the card game would be pointless just because a few video games are out? I for one don't think that it would be because what happens after you finish all the games, hmmm? What next? The card game would keep people occupied for quite a long while until someone else comes up with another concept to entertain us. :D
Hacker Kite
I don't think that it would be enteresting to play a card game after .hack but it would be fun if the ever did make it virtual in the computer world! I think that the cards would be very ugly because they would be 2D. It would be a waste of every bodies money to buy them.
Guest Tsunami
I'll get the game for sure! I've already read up on it and how to play and used the sample decks and stuff and it's pretty fun! If you want to know where to go to view this game then just go to here!
Tog
My friend and I have been looking for a good TCG to play together and she refuses to play Magic and I can't stand the new cards. She just recently came in contact with .Hack//Sign and enjoyed it, so this'll be good for the both of us. And I can lord over her about hearing about it first (granted, I've know about it for a long time, and have already rubbed it in her face, but more info means more bragging!)! *cough* Yes, and this is the closest I'll ever come to being able to play the video, 'cept at conventions! Stupid PS2.... grumble, grumble, grumble...
OtakuSennen
Hm.. I looked at Tsunami's link.. To the Decipher site where they show the sample decks.. The cards really DO look awesome. However, I believe that a lot of the monster cards would have looked cooler if they had the animators make two-dimensional versions.. That would have given the game a more consistent and.. Better look. Deck A looks heavily Wavemaster-related, character-wise.. And Deck B looks more like a Long Arm thing. (Ooh a Crim card. Better tell KKC..) Heh, I may not have the money for this for a while, but it'll be one of my top priorities..

Bio
I always liked the villians, because of how mysterious they are. A Morganna card would be nice.
Guest StrikerX
I think this would be a good-little add-on , how about 3-d card's , so when you look at the field [ with 3-d glasses] you'll see all the onster's in 3-d , and so you know , all the thing's on the field , cause card game's on console's are stupid , it's all about the up close and real , thing. hehe , and that you should have a character , to represent you , and youre character has hp , and if that goe's to ZERO [ cause there are no monster's to protect you] you lose , sound good . i hav'nt read the link to the way the game is played , i made this up , in a minute , RECORD TIME < YAY.
