Well there are currently only 5 DVD's that have come out so far and the other 2 are going to be coming out in the next 3 months or so, so i was just wondering if anyone likes this type of anime? I think its pretty good, its kinda mysterious in some ways but the action scenes are great. They sometimes kill people in the weirdest ways,
espically Kirika she killed so far someone with a pair of sunglasses and another person with a toy truck (the part that connects the tire with the axial she used it as an ice pick)
At times it might be a little boring and they have a lot of flashbacks, but it seems to me like its all connected so i believe they did a good job with the plot.

For those who havent seen it yet:

First im going to say its sorta like Cowboy Bebop, in which its about two girls who are deadly assassins(sorta in a way like bounty hunters) and try to find out about their pasts. No, there are no rewards for what they do, the two main characters (Kirika Yuumura and Mireille Bouquet) just assassinate others mainly to find out about their pasts. Mireille's past seems to start to come up early in the series, while i still only know little parts about Kirika's. It all comes down to the Soldats, but i dont want to give away anything so ill just say that. Eventually two other characters come along, one being Chloe who is completely freaky the first time they introduce her into the anime. While Mireille and Kirika both use guns as their primary weapon, Chloe is the only one who uses throwing knives. The other is Chloe's guardian named Altena that is a member of the Soldates and thats all i can basically give without giving anything away.

So what i want to know is if anyone thinks this is sorta a good series and if they would want to see it.

Well for the ones who have seen the DVD's up to the fifth one i have some questions:
Well im so confused right now about whats happening. Chloe the freak she is keeps stating that only her and Kirika are the "True Noir", while i keep looking at the watch and it shows a picture of two people that resemble Kirika and Mireille. What does Mireille even have to do with Noir now.

I guess my other question is what is up with Altena. She barely does anything, but im guessing she is the key to binding the true noir. I read up on her and they say she wants to reshape the organization of the Soldats for her own ideals. So whats the deal with Altena???
Well thats about it. I just want to know others opinions about this anime and if they found it to be interesting or not. Also i want to know if others find Chloe freaky as well.
First im going to say its sorta like Cowboy Bebop,
...I find that comment insulting. :twitch: Cowboy Bebop doesn't hold a candle to Noir! Haha, but that's just me. :D Anyway...
No, there are no rewards for what they do, the two main characters (Kirika Yuumura and Mireille Bouquet) just assassinate others mainly to find out about their pasts.
Actually, they do. They take jobs that they think will lead them closer to the answers they are looking for. Their targets are worth money, or else they couldn't make a living. In the first few episodes, they mention whatever the French currency is when they are targetting one guy.

I love this series, as my sig implies. :D I dare say I might like it better than .hack!!! Yeah, it's really that amazing! Right now, since I haven't finished watching it, it's on equal footing with .hack and Naruto. :) Also, IMO, Cowboy Beebop has nothing on Noir! :p As you've mentioned, they never do their job the same way (
don't forget the forks, and the ID card
). Haha, you are always in wonder whenever a fight scene starts, because it's guaranteed to floor you. The story is just as spectacular, if not better. The questions, and the answers to those questions, are unbelievable (in a good way).

To answer spoiler one, without actually spoiling the series for you, watch the first episode again, preferrably after watching episode 17 (
or whichever is the one in which Mirielle visits her hometown
). I mean, I didn't need to watch episode 1 again since I made the connection after watching episode 17, but I don't want to ruin a single thing: this series knows when to give you answers, and when to hold them back.

For spoiler two, just hold out for a few episodes. However, if you can't...
Altena is a part of Soldats, but she's old-fashioned, and stays to the old ways. With the way Soldats is now, the old ways will screw most of the major powers of the originization. They can't directly get rid of Altena, since she follows the way of Soldat's original formation, so opposing her means you oppose Soldats, even if you are within Soldats.
I guess that doesn't make any sense the way I said it, but, again, hold out for a few episodes. Don't worry, it's worth the wait. ;)

LoL of course they do get some profit out of it, but mostly they are both doing it now to find out about their pasts. In Cowboy Bebop they were doing it only for money and to make a living. And it is kinda like Cowboy Bebop in one way i believe just for the pure fact that they are trying to find out about each others past the same way Spike, Faye, Jet, and Edward did in Cowboy Bebop.

And the answers to those questions, are unbelievable (in a good way).

Yep ill be sure to read them right after i buy the other two DVD's once they come out. Thanks for not ruining it for me i really appreciate it. But you are right about it not being that much like Cowboy Bebop, but i was just trying to think of any other type of anime that even comes close to it and so far from what ive seen this is the closest one to it :o .
