Online Habits

[size=1] Do any of you have any habits that get to you when you're online? For example, on OB, I [i]must[/i] look at the closed threads for some reason...I can't really explain it.

Also, when I start up my computer, I have to get Kazaa, AIM, MIM, and all the pop-ups gone before I open up Internet Explorer or some other program. Whenever I write an email or a post, or even something on Word, I always use the smallest font size. That wasn't a problem with me a long time ago, but now it is. O_o

One particular thing I do in the Art and Design forum most of the time, is nit-pick everything. [unless the picture is perfect. ::coughcough::mystikal::coughcough::] The only time I don't do this is when everyone else nit-picks it. :D[/size]

I can explain it. Your curious and you want to find out why there closed. Kinda hard to resist, I mean, I always look at the closed threads first too!

I usually start playing Warcraft III the first chance I get to get on computer(unless i got some writing assignment as homework but ah, thats off the subject)

After im done playing(or if the game locks up on me AGAIN)

I tend to type to people with my feet when I talk to people on aim. I also love to look at the closed threads just to see why they are closed. I also have to bring up AIM before I do anything. I also must randomly write messages to my freinds.

[color=green][size=1][i]MMMMM I always have to have a color when I post. I always look over my posts before I actually post them looking for errors. I always exit the Channels thing, and I always minimize my buddy list and the middle screen thing. Thats about it.

On AIM, I have to look at my friend's away message over and over; trying to see if they have something different.

And I sometimes put on away messages to see if people talk to me more when I have my away message on.

The first thing I do on here is look at the latest posts and find the ones posted by the most annoying, moronic and obnoxious people here. It generally is pretty fun to see if they can top themselves.

I also have to do everything in pink. Why? Because I am the epitome of pink. It's just the way I am.

I also have to talk to Tony. Why? Because...I JUST DO! >.<

What I do when I get online is put on some japanese music and see if I have anybody that I would like to talk to on AIM. I do that every single time I get on. Every single time I tell you.

First things first, the channels option on AOL goes down. Then, I check my e-mail (replying to if needed). Then, YIM, MSN, and IE go up. Allow for everything to load and then heading over to the NBT-Mercs forums. Check all new posts (reply if warranted) and then check MekTek's forums. Next, IGN's Metal Gear Solid boards gets a gander. Finally, OtakuBoards and MyOtaku load through AOL. From there, homework or whatever else needs to be done takes over.

Heh, I have a few little things I do...

1) I tend to curse at my computer when I have to restart (which is approximately 10 times a day).

2) I try to keep my post count above 10 posts a day, and now I'm going paranoid because I'll be gone for 2 weeks without computer time...

3) I tend to annoy friends of friends on AIM to the point where they warn me to 100% and block my user. But I really don't annoy them THAT much... -_-

4) I oftentimes make the mistake of running my Winamp along with my AIM and surf the internet at the same time, resulting in having to restart. I never learn my lesson..

5) I spend nearly all day hoping that my semi-g/f will log on so we can talk.

Those are the five I can think of at the moment.. I'm sure there's more.. There are many, many more.. I'm pretty sure.

Well,when I first get on....

I fractically push the MSN butterfly because it's slow on start-up and I have to wait forever just to get the internet connection box up,let alone connect to the internet *kicks stupid dialup*

Then I sign on to AIM and Yahoo,check and reply to any new mail.
Then I come to otaku,and I mostly hang on in the lounge so that's what I do.Hehe

smacking the comp every time it malfunctions and cursing at it... that's one.
Lessee... I always have to check my e-mail and AIM buddy list when I connect and then when I disconnect.
I always start up Microsoft word so I can write a couple more chapters while waiting for the comp to do something... anything.

Nowadays, my OB posts are always in orange, though it used to be firebrick. It always has to match my siggy...Um, if I decide to work on a fanfic or other story in Word, I have to keep the internet open, even if it distracts me once in a while. I check my PM/E-Mail box about 10 times an hour because. I'm always looking for something to do. And if one of the webcomics I read isn't updated, I yell, "GAH!" and smack the computer. It's not usually the artist's or computer's fault, but those webcomics are so darn addictive...Oh yea! And I always end my e-mails with...C-ya on the other side! *flys off on one of her winged monkey soldiers*[/color][/b]

When I get on, I ususally do a few things inparticular nowadays, and while it seems like a chore, I get a kick out of it. I'd get on my 56k internet, get on AIM, then get on Internet Explorer. My home page is currently set on my myOtaku page, so I check to see if there are more comments on my blog posts, whether more people signed my guestbook, and what place I'm in ranking-wise. Then I check my email, followed by checking to see if the Rurouni Kenshin box set has come in yet, and then I go off to OtakuBoards to take care of my moderating buisness. After that, though, I'm free to do what I want. I ususally take that time to post on OB randomly, and talk to people on AIM. ^_^

[COLOR=blue] I always get rid of all the pop up things, get AIM up, get on internet I always go to otaku first (for some rerason ??), and I always change my font to blue (when I can figure out how to).

I always have to close all popups before I begin and I alwasy come here first, followed by going to Newgrounds, Penny Arcade, and Videogame sites.

I also keep checking to see if the Slipknot site is back on becuase they're my favorite band I want to get back on that site.

I usually sign onto AIM before anything, but while it does that I might open up a browser window or two in IE; check my e-mail in one, check out OtakuBoards in the other. Winamp goes up somewhere in there, and I play whatever my ears desire which currently is Bad Religion because PickleBucket has mentioned them lately and got me listening to them. Eventually I get bored and do any assortment of things: update my diary if possible, check on other people's diaries, try to think of an idea for a website (never can really...), download something off Kazaa (usually music related, I am a good user though. I actually go out and buy the stuff I download eventually. Burned CD's are crap), turn around and watch a little TV or play something on my PS2, just jam to the music I am listening to, open up Photoshop and play with that, and pretty much whatever I feel like doing.

I always hope that Tori (Queen Asuka) gets on so we can talk and stuff. It is going to be hell when she goes to college. v_v'

Well, no matter what work i have to do on the com i always check out OB. I don't even sign in, i just run around and read posts. I'm such a dork. As for ANNOYING habits I always have to press the f2 button or something just to hear it beep. I can do that for hours.
In fact, im doing it now.

PiroMunkie , Our "habit " is the same but I open Yahoo first. I dun like Aim. But I usually try and find a fanfic to read or join an rp. Sometimes I do both

First off, I sign into Yahoo and AIM and close all the pop-ups that come with it. Next, I check nearly every website I have bookmarked on my favorites list and I usually check OB last so that I can let the posts pile up.

I don't really have any habits on OB except that I sometimes check closed threads to see what happened and I search for threads before I make a new one to see if it's already been done before. I also update my signature just about everyday.

I also immediatly vosot Columbia House and make [b]sure[/b] that I am not being sent anything I don't want. Once on the OB, I regularly check to see who is signed on...depending on who it is I may stalk that member around the boards...reading all of their post...I'm just weird like that

I also tend to use "..." quite a bit, which is odd because I definatly don't use it when I speak[/color]

I always want to PM people like constantly, even if I don't know them. I think "Oh, they're interesting. Why not PM them." That's how I got most of the buddies I have now... I would PM the ones I do have a lot more but I don't want to get on their nerves.
