What sports do you play and why? Me I play Football. I play it because my dad was almost a pro for the Raiders. Then he blew out his knee, and never made it. SO I want to fill in his dream, and plus I want to fill in my dream as well.(If that made any sence.)

I used to play soccer a lot, but I have no desire now to play on my school's team.

Now I fence, and it's about as much fun as I had playing soccer. Plus, I get to poke people with a would-be sword. :D

Are those swords actually sharp? I have always wondered that. Plus it would be pretty cool to do that. I think soccer is alright. I think its ok, but its not something I prefer to do.

I play soccer. Not for a team currently, but I play anyways. I joined a team when I was a little kid and got hooked. I'm also playing lacrosse this year. I was in an intermural(sp?) program last year and want to play for the school team this year. I also played baseball for a while. *waves flag* Right field! And last but not least, basketball. But I don't think I'll do it again this year. I'll leave that position up to my "twin" Desi...Well, c-ya on the other side! *flys off on one of her winged monkey soldiers*

Amen! It's fun to chase after a ball and kick people in the shins! Bwahaha! :D Soccer is my sport, it's pretty mush the only one I enjoy playing. Of course, I know some people who said I should play basketball, even though I lack in height and my basket percentage is like... 20%... I guess I make up for it in speed and the fact I can stay open. I never layed basketball on a team, just in P.E. I have played soccer on a team though! Two years, and I might play this year. That is, if the Girl's team even meets. Hmmm, maybe it's Boy's in the fall, Girl's in the spring.

I play soccer and basketball the most, but I prefer soccer. I can play a bunch of different sports, but those are the only ones that I play on a team for, though I havn't been on a team for basketball in a couple years.

So yeah, soccer is my favorite sport to play, whereas I ususally play right or center forward. I'm not too big a fan of running, so center is out of the question, and I like to be up there to score or set up the goals anyway, so that's why I like be a forward. I've been playing it for a while, since I was 6 or something, and I've played on everything from a full-sized pitch, to indoor, to the league that I'm in now that plays 6 players on a short field. It's very strange, yes, but I don't have to run a lot, lol. I have tried out for travel teams in the past; I was was in a "classic" league once that stays on the same field the whole season, but the competition is a lot higher, and I was on a travel team for a bit until I realized that I wasn't that dedicated to the sport, and that I had other things to deal with. I've also tried out for my school team a couple times, but when I saw just how much running it involved in just how much heat, I was kind of glad that I didn't make it anyway, lol.

...yeah. Sorry about bringing out my life story like that and all, but it reiterates this point I have on playing soccer. =p I'd also like to add that I'm not a big fan of watching sports, even if I like playing them.

I did play soccer, I really love soccer. *sigh* But alas, marching band goes on during soccer season, and I did play basketball but I hated it. Now it's totally grown on me! But I'm no good at it anymore, and besides that I'm in the uh, *cough* pep band. Hahaha, yeah, I'm a band nerd.

Alright im pretty sure most people know what i play cause ive posted it countless times already, but my sport is basically paintball. Its such a great sport, it takes a lot of skill and patience to play it. Plus theres a lot of running in it as well so you get a pretty good workout (well only if your a front man like i am mostly the people in the back dont do any running at all). Hopefully ill go pro in that once i get out of college, but if not then ill go the other route and try to go Triple AAA in volleyball since im really good at that sport as well.

I used to play tennis in high school, though I never got to be any good at it. Now the closest thing I come to a sport is ... er ... bowling. :D Hey, it's really fun, especially when you're in a town where there's nothing else to do. My friends and I have gone a lot this summer and I've improved my average about thirty points.

Enough about bowling ... My friends at home (I'm living at college for the summer) used to have a street basketball "league." They were really into it ... I helped them record stats and everything.

During the school year, I tried out for sfotball and I made it. I was thinking about getting serious in softball, but I fell for basketball, again.

Well, right now, I am not in a softball team nor a basketball team. I quit my basketball team at the end of the school year because I sprained my finger and it was really bad. And I couldn't play. So my mom decided that I can do something else besides basketball.

Sure are a lot of soccer players here.

The sport that I'm best at and play the most is Tennis. Some of my friends convinced me to try out for the team a couple of years ago and I made JV (I wasn't too good back then, heh). Last year, I made Varsity by the skin of my teeth as an extra, which was pretty cool (I got to practice with my friends and I didn't have to play in too many games). This year, I'm definetely trying out again. A lot of my friends, who were Seniors, are gone from the team, so I have a pretty good chance of maybe getting into one of the top three singles spots, which is cool.

I play basketball and volleyball. I've been playing both all year round nonstop since August 1999. I've been playing both sports for about 6 years. I love basketball more than volleyball, however the best i can do for Bball is JV. For volleyball i have a decent chance for Varsity this year (I'm a Frosh). I'll find out tomorrow night. Wish me luck at tryouts!! :D

Nah, the ends of them are squared off and have a rubber cap on them. Heh, that doesn't mean that they're totally humanitarian, though. You can hit someone hard enough to draw blood; someone on my team cut my shin. Also, the foils can snap mid-match; which leaves a jagged edge. :twitch:
