Harry
They were ok back in the day when 28.8 modems were common, but now I just don't see why I should listen to them.
Pagan
Midi files are tight. I was really excited about the otaku jukebox but to bad its not up and running yet. I like Cowboy Bebops Real Folk Blues.
OtakuSennen
Heh... MIDIs are OK, if you've never heard the song and are not sure if you may like it or not.. Because nowadays we have MP3s and such.. Much higher quality, and they have words more frequently.. Of course, they do take a lot longer to load.. As Harry said, back in the days of 28.8k modems they were the most advanced thing.. I'm one for MP3s, myself. Heh, of course, if I had a synthesizer so I could make my OWN Midis.. That would definitely change my view on them..
wrist cutter
MIDIs rule man. Granted, they are no replacement for the real thing, but even I have to admit I like to listen to them occasionally, if only for nostalgiac purposes. My brother used to have a site with a ton of MIDIs back in the day, when that was all we had, so I listened to those rather often and I've grown accustomed to them. Semjaza
The best part of MIDIs are that they are so easy to mess with. They're incredibly versatile and very interchangable. If you ever play on a keyboard/synthesizer, you'll be playing in MIDI. You can hook that up to a PC or who knows what else. I used to mess around with this stuff at our sound room at school, but I've since forgotten most of it. There's a lot of instruments out there for MIDI that sound much better than the common ones most use online.

[/B][/QUOTE] You used to be able to find midi's and wavs all over the place on free hosting sites, now you just find pop ups and maybe a picture.
