yes i know people saw it but how do you know what you saw was true unless you were really on the moon you cant say yes it deffinatly happened. I know what i saw on this program is only one side but there was evidence that made you think twice for example why was it that the shadows in alot of pictures were facing different directions when there was only one source of light?

Yah....But it was in 1960's I think.....

Really, things like this can be done now,but I don't think they could of done it then.

And now really think. How did we get all that info on the moon if we never been there??????Really, think about it.

who say's it was on the moon i know this is also what they showed but on the program (im relying heavily on this show) they showed a top secret millitary base that has a VERY similar surface to the moon where they could of filmed the landing, and so maybe they did make the moon in some pictures brought bak it shows a pic of the astronaughts on one side of the "moon" then another on the other side but the rock features crators etc are exactly the same on another the crosshairs of the photo are behind the american flag not in front why?

I agree with Boba, it did happen. I'm not the greatest fan of the U.S. but I don't think they'd actually go to the length to fake the Moon Landing, and it occured in 1969 as far as I remember

I think it happened. I have heard things like since there is no wind on the moon, then why does the flag flap around in the "wind". But I still think it happened. Technology is definately ready and has been ready for people landing on the moon for years. I see no reason why people would make a hoax about landing on the moon. To make other contries feel jealous? Well thats selfish. Anyways, I'm blabbling...So In conclusion I think they did.

O.o.

Why would it be a hoax?

Then this throws everything off space-wise where we're at now.

So you're basically saying NASA would have to be a complete lie, created by the goverment; and that all of this millions/billions of dollars that go into it each year are also a lie for something else. And that the landing of the walker-thing on Mars was also a lie. And that every single thing ever said by NASA also a lie.

And also the fact that there's actual footage of it; even though it be black and white, it looks pretty damned real to me.

And millions of other things.

I could sit here and support myself and everything. But I don't see the point.

The space race to the moon was done by many countries. We were the first to make it; I don't see how that could be contrived. If you're saying that, then you're saying that everything about NASA is a flat-out lie. Which it certainly isn't.

Damn man, use some punctuation. I can barely read your posts.

I don't quite understand this. You see one program that says it was a hoax, and now that's your opinion as well? Perhaps you should study up more on this.

People have had this theory for decades. It's nothing new. Considering how long they've been trying to prove it, you think they'd come up with something more substantial by now.

"By studying a picture, I've found that two rocks look almost exactly alike!" Give me a break.

And the space race was mainly against the Russians, even though they relied on German technology.

I doubt it would ever have been a hoax. The reason for this is the fact that it would cost too much to fake it. First off, there is no way they could have hidden that shuttle launch from people, which means if it had not launched everyone would have been screaming their heads off. Then you have to figure the cost of producing the fake film and pictures. And the amount of human activity needed to hide the fact that nothing was happening. By the time you are done it would have been cheaper to just go to the moon.

As for the thoery that the flag was waving (which is the biggest arguement), do not forget that the flag had small wires built into the fabric so that it would remain straight for the pictures. This means that the wires would transfere movement and create an effect like it was waving. Not to mention the picture was kind of shaky to begin with.

Ok, time to play Devil's Advocate. :D

I support the "we landed" crowd, but, to a degree there is a lot of information to say that we did not land on the moon. First, think back to the 1960's. What was this the height of? The Cold War. First the Cuban Missile Crisis ('64?) which dealt with Russians transporting intercontinental nuclear ballistics into Cuba.

Luckily, the crisis was averted. Yet, the Russians were not too thrilled. So, the "Space Race," which was in progress long before, escalated. U.S. vs. U.S.S.R. was the main topic on both governments minds. And, with the Russians proving they were superior in space technology (First space walk was by a Russian, IIRC) the U.S. was quite nervous. The U.S. felt that if they were to lose space superiority, the U.S.S.R. would somehow develop space weapons capable of attacking any spot on Earth.

So...if your space program (NASA) has been unsuccessful for many years, what can you do? If the U.S.S.R. wins, it could mean the dominant force for the "evil" Communists and the end of Democracy. What to do?! Fake it! Studios could easily be set up (no stars in the background, 1/2 frame movements to fake "lunar" environments, lights are all wrong, camera errors, reflections where there should not be, *actual* footage of the "Earth" being recorded from far away, only to reveal it was within a studio, etc...) to mimic a lunar landing.

Take *that* you evil Communists! We got there first! HA!

:p Ok, flame away. :p

Frankly I don't really care if it was real or not.

Sure it may have been the biggest, most exspensive hoax ever done, and we could all have been lied to.
Or it could have actually happened, and we just never went back there for some reason.

I personally believe people should worry more about the problems we have on earth, instead of focusing so much on space.

But thats just my opinion.:D

Well, what I say is that if it was fake, someone would have cracked. Simple as that. Everything that they say could make it fake can be rebutted. An example is the shadows from different directions. If you would actually look, there are dips and stuff in the ground that bend the shadows and change the length, and seemingly the direction.

Then again, I also saw a website that claimed that bush planned the whole 9-11 attack so he could get the oil in Iraq. I also saw a website that said that we only use 10% of our brain, and a website that said that there was no such thing as a nuclear warhead.

I still believe it's real to an extent, after watching that show though, I saw that the conspiracy I though was a joke, actually had some merit.

They (conspriacy) put forth some pretty good arguments for the conspiracy side, such as

Flag waving where there is no air
Where is the Blast crater that would have been created by the incoming rocket's propulsion force?
No dust on the lunar modue, considering it landed pretty hard on a dusty surface
crosshairs on the picture actually dissapearing behind objects?
Double speed video of the lunar landings look like astronauts joggin in our atmoshpere?

What did the NASA guy have to say to all of this? "rubbish, rubbish, and total craziness" yet he never proved any of these theories wrong, he never even talked about hopw they could be explained, he'd be better off twiddlign his thumbs and keepign quiet!

The NASA side would have looked so much better if the guy actually REFUTED some of the claims! I actually want someone a little more competent than that guy to show me how oin fact, these thigns can be explained.

p.s I made a moon landing thread too, but it dissapeared.... CONSPIRACY I TELL YA!
