Ok, I'm not sure if this is allowed or not, if it isn't i'll delete it myself.
I wanna know, when did all you awesome, way more talented than me artists discover your ability to draw?

I began drawing since prolly 3rd grade. My friend drew this peacock looking thing once (it was crude), but I made a simple reproduction and added stuff on to it. After that I began drawing other stuff like houses, people and places. They all sucked, but that was only in my prime. Now I'm much better and still developing.

Your story?

I began drawing when I was in the age of 3-4. Too young, ne?
I started drawing stick ppl. o.o
And then after a year, I kept watching this anime, Sailor Moon, and then that's when i started drawing anime. It really sucked because the drawing and Sailor Moon's body was all wriggly and messed up. xD
But that didn't bother me, back then.
And then now. Well, this year, i started making banners and graphic designs. I am an assistant of my dad who makes banners for stationary for offices. But he let me do all the banner ones, since he found out that I make banners. ugh..too much work that he gave me.
But im not that proffesional. Im just a...starter?
And yeah, i dicovered my talent on how to draw when i was 5.

I started drawing...about a year ago I beleive. :toothy:

It's somewhat fun [and humiliating] to go back and look at your first drawings. Lol, I do that all the time when I'm cleaning out my room. It's good to know that all artists have their beginning. :P

I dunno if that would apply to me, but anyways...

I started drawin' since... I can't really rembmer when really. But they were never really scerious or anything. I sceriously started to draw about a year or two ago... After I met Saaleha (none o' u know her 'cept those that went to junior high with me). After that I met Shilin <.< I kinda picked up things from them and eventually came up with my own style... Which I still need to improve on >.<;;

I probably started drawing when I was really young, but I don't think I had much talent back then. My parents have told me that I did a really good drawing of a rocket ship once when I was in kindergarden, but I don't remember doing it. For some reason, kindergarden was more of a blur to me, heh.

I think other people noticed that I had talent in drawing before I did. Back in elementary school I did a lot of good drawings in Art, in particular this one bird that I had made into a magnet and now have on my refrigerator. That was probably around the time that I "discovered" my talent, but I really only started doing it for fun about 4 years ago with my DBZ drawings, which is when I thought that I may actually be able to do this professionally with a lot of practice.

I havn't drawn anything on my own accord for about a year now. I probably should, hmm..*goes off to find higher-quality anime cels*

I've been drawing as long as I can remember. I think I was 2 years old when I started. I only started to get good when I was in 4th/5th grade though.

When I get a scanner(which I dun think'll be any time soon) I'll post some art here.

Talented? Me? Y'all seem to think so. :p (But one is always one's worst critic, so...but I still don't see it. >.>)

My mom claims she could tell at a very young age for me that I was an artist. When I was in first grade, I did some sort of Halloween picture she /loved/. I found a Thanksgiving one from third grade about how to catch turkeys (I had someone dressed up as a female turkey to lure the guys turkeys in ^^), and one for science class illustrating the water cycle. In both instances, I noticed that each important part was a character, and I was telling a story in both.

When I was about 9 or 1o, I think, I was copying the cover of the The Land Before Time cassette. My grandparents freaked, because they thought it was a perfect copy. (I remember, and no it wasn't--proportions, proportions.)

I finally came into my own around the time of The Lion King. I was an absolute freak about getting every image possible out of that movie, and in this case, I did copy them near perfectly. It was about that time I figured out I wanted to be an animator some day.

I always figured that, since I could draw, everyone else could too, and they would always draw crappily to make me feel better. @_@ (Mesa got issues, I know...) That's why I can't stand it when someone says, "Dang, I could never do that," because it makes me wonder...could you?

Done.

I think that either you have an inbuilt ability to draw or you don't.

But if you do...you can usually improve and develop your skills a lot more.

Before starting tertiary study, I felt like I'd lost my ability to draw. I hadn't drawn anything in a couple of years. Although, I remember doing a really elaborate portrait-like picture in Year 12 of high school...but I gave that to a friend and never kept it. That would have been a good one for my folio, come to think of it.

Anyway, once I started doing life drawing...I really blossomed again. I was surprised at how fast my skills developed over the last semester. And now, I feel like I'm much better at creating form than I was only a couple of years ago. So that's good...it's good to get back to the basics and develop yourself.

In terms of when I started drawing...I've been drawing forever. I used to draw a lot as a kid and in some ways, I think my skills were actually better when I was younger. I remember drawing Teknoman characters, with very precise proportions. At the time I didn't appreciate it, but looking back at it, I do.

I don't know if this counts but, I'm not really that good at drawing certain things and I am sort of with others.
I don't really try to draw very often because it takes me forever and I usually get frustrated sometimes because I can't get something right.

However, my older brother is actually very good at drawing (esp. looking at something, drawing it so and picturing it). He used to all the time and had lots of drawings too but, now he doesn't at all. Although he hasn't really tried for awhile, he could draw something nice if he really wanted and meant to.
When he was younger, he used to draw lots of Sonic stuff (he was a big fan back then...really big). He used to show me lots of stuff he'd done but, now he's just into other things and drawing's just a thing of the past.
