hmmm dumber? na i just stop given flyin *******. yeah thats about it. i treated every year in high school like it was my senior year. never in class. i just didnt feel like caring anymore. my mom tried to get me to care again but she gave up. i just kinda went to pass. but i got smarter as i grew. not about school stuff though. they say with age comes wisdom. i now understand that. its more of a how the world works wisdom than a book wisdom. in that sense i got smarter. but i still dont care. some things will never change i guess....

School doesn't take intelligence, it just takes a strong method and a good memory. Basically a lot of studying...

I think I've gotten smarter. But, I just don't care anymore. I used to be near the top of my class in elementary and middle school, but that was because I was so afraid of failure, and of what people would think of me if I didn't ace everything. But now I understand that failure is a necessary human thing (Come on, you're not human if you've never failed. You're not mortal. You're some kind of a freakin' god.). And that other people can think what they want, because it doesn't have to affect me.

When I was younger, I just had a different opinion of the world and school in general. I wanted to try and do well and everything else. At this point I feel like I'm just going through the motions. [color=crimson]I am in complete agreement with you, Sem. My grades have dropped, but my intelligence has increased. After trying and failing and trying in failing in a system I believe is rather messed up, I just almost stopped caring. I have never gotten an F, but D's and C's are sometimes normal.

It's hard to say, but I'm kind of slated to have a negative view of my past self. I always think that he was stupid as hell, and should not have wasted his time so vainly.

On the flipside, I sometimes never regret anything I do ^_^

[color=blue]I swear I had a longer attention spand when I was kid, so in that respect I was much more attentive as a child.
I could keep control of my mind also, but nowadays I question things a whole lot more, so I think I have grown alot mentally since I was a child. This thread half-inspired the poem I wrote recently. If you want to check it out, I posted it. Don't get offended though.[/color]

[COLOR=crimson]Hmmm..O_o I don't think i was smarter when i was younger O_o Because over the past few years i've put real effort into learning languages and stuff. When i was younger i was so unsure about what i wanted to do with my life, I was also very naieve and made some stupid mistakes that if i had known what i know now i would never have let those things happen. So yeah, as i've gotten older i've seen alot more of the world and its workings..so i feel alot smarter now ^_^[/COLOR]
