Japan
Does anyone like Staind? I like all of there music and I think that they have some of the best music. What do you guys think?
Semjaza
I don't think much of them anymore. I originally bought Dysfunction the week it came out. It was honestly a great album, albeit it overly depressing at points. However, I was in that stage of my life at the time. I wound up getting their debut, Tormented, as well. I think it's a better album mostly because of how unpolished it is by comparison. It adds an edge that Dysfunction lacks. I spent time trying to get people into Staind back then... when no one really seemed to give a crap. No one ever wanted to bother either, no matter what type of music they liked. Next thing I know, they're like the next big thing, which was rather frustrating. Then Break the Cycle a bit after came out and they more or less disappeared again (at least by comparison). I rarely see anyone talk about them anymore. I guess their newest CD didn't come out fast enough to appease the fad crowd. I never really bothered with Break the Cycle as I was tiring of that style of writing as well as the band itself. The CD offered nothing new. I never listened to 15 Shades of Gray (or whatever the hell it was). I can't say I care at this point anymore. Dysfunction and Tormented are still solid albums though. Guest Fiasco
I don't like Staind, their music sounds way too repititive. Their only DECENT CD was Dysfunction. Heh, funny, me and my friends were just talking about how bad they were at lunch today....:)
Fall
I love them. 14 Shades Of Grey is their recent album, and it's solid as. I love the music, and at the momentm I don't think I've missed a day without listening to it since it's been released. Break The Cycle, and Better Life, were their previous albums, and in my view, the best they've got. These two albums haven't got a song on them that I don't like, they're just all-round awesome. I love these two CDs. Dysfunction is also great. I don't listen to it as much as their later albums, though there's some damn good music on the CD. Theur debut album, Torment, was also hard. Some great songs on there. This CD basically got me a bit more into Staind, than what I already was. Great CD. It's Been A While is the best song from them. Ever since it was released, it's stuck with me. It fits me, my life, everything I have to put up with, it basically describes my life -past, present, and future. Their best song out, still. Angelus
I really didnt ever like stained. Somehow they always found a way to make every single one of their songs sound exactly alike. I never bothered to try to figure out the names of their songs because I could never tell the difference between them.
Juu
*shudder* I never, ever liked them. I'm just not muchova alternative fan, and their voices just... *twitch* But they're not exactly horrible, either. I remember getting 'It's Been a While' stuck in my head for a while, along with a few other classmates. ..;
Moor_Child
I have dysfunction. I love that CD. My music teacher got me into them a couple of years ago when we watched one of their vids in class. I don't think I'd buy any of their other CD's though, don't ask me why...I'm not sure.
Semjaza
The last thing I'd think anyone would complain about with this band is the vocals. I can't find much wrong with them, honestly... especially considering some of the horrible singers in bands that are popular now.
RicoTranzrig
I have their two most recent albums, Break the Cycle and 14 Shades of Gray. I agree that "It's been a While" is really catchy, but the rest of Break the Cycle is okay, nothing really something I'd listen to a bunch of times over. 14 Shades of Gray is good overall, all of the songs have pretty much the same tone, melancholy. But no song really sticks out of that album. They're respectable, I like the distorted guitar tone they have.
