Baron Samedi
This world is going to the dogs. A few nights ago a man, with a five week old baby girl in a chest harness was beaten up. The girl suffered head traumor (sp?) and the man was wounded pretty badly. Eventually one of the guys owend up, and it turned out to be a case of mistaken identity. They bashed up the wrong guy, because the right guy had taken a mobile phone of theirs. The girl has brain damage and is now Epileptic. A man, who was supposed to be on Parole, got a shotgun, and went to a womens house, where he killed her in her car. He meant to kill her male passenger o.O. He then goes on a 12 hr terror rampage (as it was called) and took 5 people hostage, before the police managed to nab him. I know these are only two very small things, but why do people continue to do such stuff. Is there something wrong in people's gene make-up. Why do people waste themselves like this. It is pointless. It offers no hope for humans. There is so much of it, that it is like a cancer eating away at us. Is there no more good news?
Guest dayday
There will always be good news. But no one knows why other people do these kind of things. They have no sense in their mind for trying to be right. Even if they try to get help or are punished they still go out and so the same thing again. Some learn their lesson, some don't. After all, this world has always been screwed since the beginnning of time.
TheShinje
Screwed since the point of man's fall out of Eden, dare I say it. The whole thing about the attack on that man and his child sickens me. For one, they could have killed a fragile young life then, thank God they didn't. Even if it was the guy took their celphone, they don't get any sympathy from me. Vicious thugs eoither way you look at it. I'd be really depressed if this world was as good as it got, fortunately it aint.
Heaven awaits us.[/spoielr]

If it wasn't for one eye-witness of the attack, who eventually went to police about it because of the over-whelming public response on the tragedy, there still wouldn't be any arrests. The eye-witness eventually led police to the four attackers, the fourth recently arrested, being a young women. Either way of how it's been attended too, it makes me sick thinking of it. The thought of a father walking down a street with his child, and being bashed so severely that the child suffers a fractured skulla him recieving the same extent in injuries, is brain ripping. It just goes to show what people are like in this world, and how stupid some can be.
DevilzAdvocate
i found that appauling(sp?), also was where a teenage boy beat up a 80yr grandmother, i find this disgraceful how people go around beating up defenceless people because there to much of a chicken to atleast fight someone who can fight back, and then they go steal what ever money was in the old lady's purse. I find this very wrong and think they only do it because they know they are to helpless and gutless to pick a fight with some one who might fight back. Baron Samedi
There was an update on this last night. They actually knew and realised that they were attcking the wrong person, but they kept it up. Pack mentality. And Fall, you may be right about that, I thought it was one of the bashers who owned up though. Besides the point, it still is really apalling. I just realised. THIS IS MY 250TH POST.. wow. I should be a Junior Member Now...
Corey
This world has no hope. Eventually, we will all self destruct and leave this world in tatters. I just hope I'm gone before it happens.
Guest yalborap
This world might be horrible, but if that case of the guy going on the twelve hour rampage is the one I think it is, then didn't he shoot himself in the head? Kind of a way to pay for his acts, I think. So it's possible that this world isn't dying on us, as long as people can either realize their errors, or not make them. So we still have a chanca. Epid3mic
What really sickens me is that that girl is going to have a mental handicap the rest of her life over some mobile phone. :grumble:
Kitty
This is how I phrased my opinion once. I might as well tell you: "If the world were to be a happy place, no human would live here. All that would remain was wildlife. No nuclear plants, no apartments, no gangs, no guns, no endangered animals, no trace of humans. Unfortunatly, that world was left behind millions of years ago." Today all that awaits us is a hell, if what we've created isn't hell enough. We're just destroying the world, one house at a time. We take land and make waste out of it. It will house us, but leave animals helpless. If you people think that I'm one of those 'Save the Animals' protesters, I'm not one of them. I've never protested, but I will say that animals need homes too. Wait... we are animals. That's why we act so barbarically sometimes. The way people act these days is sickening, even horrifiying. People are judged by looks and money. Rarely will a person ignore those factors and love someone for their personality. I, sadly enough, like looks as well. I can't say that I'd fall in love with a creepy lookin' guy, but I will treat all my friends the same, no matter what they look like. Before I go, I'd like to add one more thing: "Hell is filling up fast. If we don't die soon, we'll be stuck in Heaven." That's all. ~Meow~
Guest yalborap
I don't care about looks. As long as it isn't some freaky looking girl, I'm fine. I prefer what's on the inside.

animeforever105
yeah.ppl are going to destroy the earth and themselves if they keep that stuff up. "this world's a tortured place to be.So many things to torment me and as I stumble down this road it takes a toll."-dctalk "Last day of the rest of my life I wish I would've known cuz I'dve kissed my momma goodbye.I did'nt tell here I loved her,how much I cared.Didn't thank my pop for all the talks and all the wisdom he shared.Unaware I just did what I always do.Everyday the same routine before I skate off to school. But who knew that this day wasn't like the rest.Instead of taking the tests I took two to the chest.Call me blind but I didn't see it coming. Everybody was running but I couldn't hear nothing except gun blasts it happened so fast.I didn't really know this kid was a part of me class.Maybe this kid was reaching out for love.Or maybe for a moment he forgot who he was.Or maybe this kid just wanted to be hugged.Whatever it was I know it's because. We are we are,the youth of the nation. We are,we are,the youth of the nation."-POD i could go through the whole song but I won't. *shakes head* "What have we become?"-dctalk
BabyGirl
Originally posted by duelist22 Yes, definitly the wrong thread.
You're supposed to post something relevant after that :toothy: Baron Samedi, I agree that both of those events are horrible, horrible accurances. However, I think it's unfair for everyone to say that the world is going to ****, er, 'crap' because of events like this. If we constantly shake our heads at the bad things that happen, then everyone is going to be too wrapped up in their disbelief to get out and do something about it. If things like said situations really bother you, then go out and smile at a stranger or give a homeless man your spare change...corny stuff like that. I've seen so many great lights of the world in these six months after my brother died. People have been amazingly supportive and responsive to the whole situation, and that reinforces my idea that the simple, good things in life aren't overshadowed by the bad. I guess my whole point is to encourage you to not focus on this stuff and get all depressed, but rather go out into your community and do something to help change the negative things. You'll be amazed by how good it feels :D
