Dragon Warrior
Returning home, Sariyah met up with Lorien finally. She was back in the kitchen, serving the soup into bowls and pouring cordial into goblets. She looked up from her work and gave a smirk. "And where have you been? I've been waiting for you!" "I came back earlier, but found a note in the mail." "Oh, really? A note in the mail. That's not common," she chuckled sarcastically. "I'm serious, Lorien. The Snakeskin bandits are coming to town." She suddenly listened intently. "They said they are coming for no harm, but I can't help, but think they lie. I already informed Clyde, the head Guard. Jot some paperwork down on these guys. Find out as much about them as you can. I've only heard very little." He looked down at the prepared meal. "I'll take a raincheck on my meal." He smiled and kissed her forehead, then rushed out the door again.
Galvatron
Rizzo Valgav walked up too the gates of Black Haven and smiled, he looked up at the gaurd and asked if he could enter the city. Gaurd: State who you are first. Rizzo: Nothing more than a soul who wonders about looking for a safe place to live. First thing to take care of was to find his house that his father bought for him inside Black Haven. He wonderd about looking for the house, after a good two hours he found it. Rizzo walks into the house that he just named Valgav house. Rizzo: My father could of bought more than one chair, oh well got to make the best of it. Corey
He was beginning to get annoyed. It was barely noon and the tavern was already starting to crowd up. Happy hour hadn't even started. Maybe he'd close up for a few days. Sleep in. Maybe take Kell out to the forest for a nice nature resort type thing. She was the only thing that was remotely good in life right now. The Black Haven Torch was barely breaking even, and life seemed overall to be boring. Man- "Bartender?" Claudio Balazar sighed and walked over to the customer. He put on his salesman grin. Claudio- "What'll it be my friend?!" The man looked over the assortments of bottles behind the counter and pointed. Man- "How about a glass of that there brandy. I hope that's the stuff from Normandy." Claudio nodded and poured him a glass of the deep red brandy. Claudio- "You need anything else, just holler. Ok?" The man nodded and sipped his drink while inspecting a rather tattered looking map. Claudio went down to the other end of the counter and began stereotypically cleaning glasses. For some reason they always seemed dirty.
Raiha
Kell leaned over the bar and kissed Claudio's nose sweetly. He grinned and she tapped the side of his head. Bombolurina hissed. Claudio: What? Kell: Be happy. Or I'll stick Bombolurina on you. Claudio: I'm happy! Kell: By the way....I have about 100 coins in tips you know....we might as well redecorate or something. He opened his mouth and was about to say something to the effect of "let's run away together!" when the door banged open and several rough burly type men sauntered in. Kell stood up and balanced the tray between her fingers deftly. They sat down at the largest table, knocking over several patrons in the process, then shouted for the "bar wench." Kell adopted what she refered to as the "lovely bar wench" face, and walked over. Kell: What'll it be gents? NPC1: I'll take a dry sherry.... NPC2: Cold beer. NPC3: Burbon. NPC4: Whatever's the best. NPC2: You got all that honey? Kell: Of course. Coming right up. She walked back to the counter, face contorting into a disgusted look, while Bombolurina hissed venemously at the men behind her.
Corey
Claudio- "I'm guessing these are our new visitors." Claudio glared at them through the corner of his eye. He began mixing the sherry as Kell poured the bourbon, beer, and fire ale ('the best'). I set them on top of the tray. She walked slowly over to the table and set each drink in front of it's respective owner. Kell- "Seven gold," she said dryly. The man that had ordered the beer looked up at her and laughed. NPC2- "My dear... We don't pay for things. We just drink. You got a problem with that?" The cat hissed at the man. He wrinkled is nose and reached for it. Kell gripped his hand and glared at him. Kell- "Don't touch my cat." She let go of the mans hand and turned around to leave. He slapped her squarely on the butt. Claudio was over the counter before she even turned around, rushing to beat the man into a senceless pulp and eject him from the Torch.
Raiha
He had his hands reaching for the man, inches away, when a furball struck him full on in the face. It clawed, going straight for the eyes, spitting and screeching. The other patrons were used to the comotion and quietly continued drinking away. He stepped back, Bombolurina making swift work of its eyes. In the meantime, Kell had shattered her tray over another's head, smashing the beer bottle in quick succession. The last two made a swift exit, running faster than they had ever before. Claudio picked up the fallen ruffians and tossed them out. The doors swung shut behind them and Kell set the table back up. Bombolurina sniffed, then arched her tail and landed on Kell's shoulders once more. Kell patted her head, scratching her ears gently. Kell: Good girl. Claudio: ...oh look, one dropped his wallet. Kell: Eheh.
Dragon Warrior
The leader burst through and grumbled loudly. Sure enough, the others followed. They reapproached Claudio and Kell, daggers drawn and whatnot. Claudio regained position for a punch when the doors swung open once more. "ENOUGH!" The place went quiet. All turned to the doorway where Sariyah cocked a small pistol. He aimed it at the new visitors. "Snakeskin, I assume?" "Aye." One man stood up, obviously the leader. "You the mayor?" "Aye. Sariyah Daskar." "Then I suppose you got our notice." "I did. You cam early." By this time, Claudio stood down, but kept a close eye on them in case they did any rough business. "We made good time, that's all." "Trying to start something here?" The leader, Scipio as Sariyah recalled, stared point blank at the pistol. He ignored Sariyah's question and nodded at the weapon. "That one of those new fangled guns, there?" "Yes. It could kill a man faster than you could draw that blade at your beltside." "Aye. Well, no need to pull it out. We mean no harm, 'member?" "Yes. That I do, and if you mean to go peacefully through here, I suggest you pay for those drinks." Sariyah skillfully twirled the gun in his hand and shot it back into it's sheath. He took a seat at one of the tables and the leader sat down as well on his stool.
Raiha
She quietly poured Sariyah a drink of their better white wine, dropping the amethstoi into the bottom. She st it down in front of him and pulled out another tray. Kell kept several on hand...just incase fighting broke out. She opened a little box and gave Bombolurina a shred of codfish. She purred and twisted her tail. Kitty walked in, and swept up the broken glass skillfully. Kell: Will that be all? Leader: ...*****. She slammed her fist down on his hand, rattling the drinks and neatly cracking his wrist. Kell: Say that to my face you worthless son of a sidhe dog. His eyes widened and Sariyah merely sipped his drink. Her elvish strength certainly went to good uses. Dragon Warrior
Sariyah finished off his drink and stood up. He nodded at Kell and smiled. Then, dropping some gold on the wooden polished tabletop, he stepped toward the door. He turned slightly and looked over his shoulder at the leader who was still rubbing his hand while wincing. "I'm watching you." "Oh lordy lordy, I am pure of sin!" Scipio said waving his hands high above his head. Then the bandits broke into laughter. Sariyah put a hand on his gun, but stepped out of the bar without saying another word.
InuyashaDeamon
Nogard got his mail back form Heron. "About time those bandits are here." Heron asked with a suprised face, "What Bandits? what do they want?" "I don't know but I know what I want from them." With that Nogard throw more then enough for his armour cleaning and repair. Sariyah was walking back to his Manison."Sariyah I need to talk to you!" Nogard said firmly, catching upto Sariyah. "These Bandits that in our town killed a royal messenger of Stialious. Also My Sister the Prince of Stialious asked me to capture thek and return them to the boarder of Stialious." Sariyah looked at nogard, "Why do you tell me this there at Claudio Tavern right now probably causing more trouble. Why to the boarder and why are you not in Stialious?" Nogard hestiantly(sp?) replied as he looked around, "Im been banished by the king, instead of being killed. So I can't take one step in to my home land." "Why where you banishied? I always thought that you where a traveler that had a troubled past." He looked at Nogard with courious look. "I was a Thief and spy for the royal court. Not even the king knew. Then one of my friends betrayed me and instead of being killed i was branded and banishied. That why i where this cloak that make it hard to see my face." "Well let me tell Clyde that they need to be arrested and sent off to Stialious. Go down there and keep an eye on them." Sariyah turned away and started to walk. Then he turned around saying, "wait until Clyde get there with some gaurds." But noticed that Nogard wasn't there any more.
The (Sic) Shape
Clyde entered the tavern and took a seat at the bar. He was sitting next to one of his guards he set here. Clyde took the initiative and had already placed guards here, which caused the tavern to take up space. They werent dressed in uniform, of course. Clyde: Anything happen? Guard: Kell's cat attacked one of the bandits. They were about to attack until the mayor stopped them. Clyde heard the door to the tavern open and it was Nogard. He took seat next to Clyde. Nogard: Clyde, I need you to do me a favor. Clyde: That depends. Whats the favor? Nogard: I need these bandits arrested for the murder of a royal messenger of Stialious. Clyde: Stilious? They cant be arrested. The charges dont take affect out of Stilious grounds. Nogard: If you arrest them Ill explain, but I cant tell you here. We'll have to be alone. Clyde:..........Fine. The Harlequin
Kattarin was, once again, being accosted by some random fool who assuredly, provided requisite beer, torches and pitchforks were supplied, would have happily tried to lynch her. Of course, she wasn't going to let that lower her opinion of the man in question. He was doing a perfectly fine job of that without such supplementation. It was rather interesting just how much they despised her. They'd already, admittedly without sanction from the mayor or any other prominent townsfolk, tried to evict her. Which was even worse considering she'd been in her small cave a short distance away from town for quite a few decades before the town had been there. They'd spit at her if she ever did walk their open streets, even though she detested the neccessity of her being there far more than she did. On the other hand, they still came to her for every strange ailment they suffered, and thieves and cutpurses gave her a very wide berth. Not that that wasn't the smartest thing to do, they just didn't know the real reasons they should have done it. After all, she'd had a couple of extra hundred years practicing with the dagger under her cloak then they had. She had the dagger rather covertly gripped right now, as the man ranted in front of her. He wanted something, but it wasn't exactly certain what. She started paying slightly more attention. "The Snakeskin bandits are in town and they're going to tear the place up! People could be hurt, or even killed!" She fell back to ignoring him. Provincial annoyance. Small-town mentalities. Bandits didn't sack villages. It wasn't profitable in the long run. And if they truly caused any damage, they knew they'd get torn apart by an angry mob. The peasants still got worked up though. Of course, the fact that the Snakeskin were particularly profitible clients had nothing to do with her assessment. The fact that she'd warned them about actually taking lives in the village did. Not that she gave a damn about the villagers one way or another, but the last time a group of bandits had caused trouble, she'd had another angry, ineffectual mob accuse her of being in league with them. She assumed the fool in front of her would start on that angle in a minute. Why he was out here in the first place was uncertain, considering it wasn't well known that she probably could stop a group of human, basically untrained bandits in their tracks without a problem. Elvish fighting was an art. Human fighting was rampant savagery, in most cases. Still, it had been several years since she'd last used one of her blades for anything but slicing herbs, and while she didn't fear loosing her edge, she did assume she'd get slightly rusty after a while. She sighed at the thought, and decided to take her pique out on the uncultured heathen in front of her. With a thrown knife that impaled one of the roots that served as a make shift door, about two inches from his head. She stood up, another long, thin dagger flicking into her hand without her having to even think about it. Kattarin: I recommend you return your rather uneloquent and certainly unimpressive rhetoric to the equally useless forums that spawned it, and take your ubiquitous misconceptions with you. The man, having no idea what the hell she had just said, but knowing that there was a bit too much steel in the room for his taste, decided to leave. Kattarin walked back to her bench, and continued sorting out hemlock sprigs. For...medicinal reasons. Backwater as this place was, it really didn't have a lot of call for assassination. Which limited her repetoire so horribly much.
Ellerby
Lily jumped off the table and hid in a cupboard. "What's the matter, Lily?" said Luminous. He opened the cupboard and Lily hissed and scratched his face. "OW!" yelled Luminous. That's when the doors swung open and in came one Tall, scruffy man. He had a snake tatoo on his arm and a broadsword on his back. He opened his sack and pulled out the cutest little kitten ever. It was all black with a long white stripe like a skunk down it's back. "This is Skunk. Snakeskin bandits don't want him anymore. You vet. You take care of him." saiod the scruffy man and with that he left slamming the door. Lily crawled out of the cupboard and started to play with Skunk. "Welcome to the family, Skunk..." said Luminous, watching them play together. He walked over to the tip jar and counted how much Kitty put in it. 5 gold. Not bad for a tip. He took the gold she put on the counter and put it in a small pouch hidden behind the counter. 'Let's see... so far. In the past month I have received... 789 Gold. Man, I'm lucky Kell has so many pets." said Luminous. He put Lily and Skunk in a cage and walked out the door, turning the sign from "OPEN" to "CLOSED". He locked the door and headed for the Inn to check up on his friend, Kitty. As he opened the door a whole bunch of scruffy men barged out. He then walked inside and Greeted Sariyah as he walked out. "What can I get for ya?" said Kell, walking up to Luminous. "Oh nothing, thanks. I'm just wondering." replied Luminous.
Raiha
Kell: Wondering...what? Luminous: Oh nothing....where's your cat? Bombolurina crawled up from where she'd been curled around Kell's waist. The barmaid smiled sweetly and patted the cat's long silky head. She knew it was nearly time for happy hour, but still...she had an errand. Claudio looked at her and shrugged. She picked up Bombolurina, deposited her on the mantel, then walked out, taking off her apron at the same time. She took the long way around the town and came up on the "despised one's" treehouse. Kell really didn't care who she was, all she knew was that Kattarin knew her herbs and wasn't an unfair dealer. All the more reason to come to her with orders. She took the list from her pocket and entered. Kattarin looked up and Kell set it down on the table. Kattarin: Laburnum seed, flower, and bark.... Water Hemlock, Nightshade, and two sprigs of wytch hazel. Preparing for something? Kell: ...in a manner of speaking. I want to save more of my trays from being smashed over heads. I figure, this just...saves money. Kattarin: Well then, I'll see what I can do. Come back in a few hours. The two smiled slightly and Kell turned and left.
Wondershot
Stephen was still working in the kitchen, albeit more self-conciously than normal. He had heard rumours about these Snakeskin Bandits, and hoped that he hadn't owed any of them money. He looked out the window for a moment before returning to fixing the afternoon salad. He noticed Luminous and Kell sittting outside, when Kell yelled at him. "HEY! Is that salad ready yet?!" "YEAH!" Stephen hollered back, he picked up the bowl, quickly adding some diced tomatoes, and spun it overr the counter, where Claudio picked it up and handed it to one of the waitresses, who delivered it to the table. Out of the corner of his eye, Stephen thought he saw Kattarin, but shrugged it off, hoping it was just some hallucination. He returned to his cooking, when a group of bandits barged in, yelling loudly. One of them stepped out of the chaos and went to the bar. "Whaddya want?" Claudio asked with a hint of disinterest. "Ale and meats!" The man roared, getting approval from his mates, Claudio looked back at Stephen with a pained look. "You heard him..." He murmured. Stephen nodded, and began to spice the meats. He looked at a small jar in the corner, which held a strange spice that he had dicovered once, by refining it properly, he could make a person very sick with it. He rached for it, but then drew his hand back. He wasn't about to cause any trouble, unless someone deserved it...
Hinata
Lorien saw her brother rush out of the door as always not quiet sure what all was going through his mind and cleaned up the kitchen. Althought there were always a few maids around to do such things she just couldn't help herself and got to work. As she cleaned up she thought about the letter he recieved. Seems like trouble. Hope nothing toobad breaks out. She quickly washed the dishes and went to the front of the house and retrieved her loak and books. She had to go and find as much possible information on this gang as possible and never that a few letters had to be written. As the assistant to the mayor it seemed that she was always moving alsways going, but she loved it, she was with her brother. She made her way out ot the mansion an started down the road. With the tavern not to far out of her eyesite she saw a few men enter the tavern. Must be them. Not wanting to see what all trouble befolds the tavern she went on. She went to her brother's office which was a small building not too far from home. There she wrote out a few letters to the surrounding towns and major cities, hoping that the mayors there could help her out a little bit. She finished off the last letter, which was adressed to the king of Stialious. After only about an hour or so of writing she was up again and out the door to drop off the parcels to the mail carriers. As she passed by the many small houses and stores she saw Kell leaving Kattarin's shop. Before she spoke to Kell, she yelled over at Stephen and then continued on her way. Soon she caught up with Kell. Lorien: Hey there, Kell. I'm surprised to see you away from the tavern? Kell: Well you know everyones taken care of and I decided to pick up a few supplies that's all. But what about you? You out at a kinda late aren't yoy? Lorien walked with Kell back towards the tavern and continued to speak with her. Lorien: I just started late thats all. You know so I'm trying to cathc up on a few things thats it. Kell: Well if you are finished why don't you come back to the tavern with me and I'll tell you all of todays exciting adventure. Lorien: Don't tell me you beat sombody up again. Kell: Not only did I, but so did Bombolurina. Lorien laughed knowing that the cat was even more so fiesty than its master. Lorien: Okay then I'll join you, but lets go drop these letters off so the mail carriers can deliever them. Kell nodded her head and they made little conversation as the went to the carriers post and then back to the tavern.
Raiha
Kell: Alrighty then gents! Happy Hour! The cheering started just as Lorien walked in. Kell had made a dash as soon as she heard the bell tower begin to chime. It was pure coincidence that Happy Hour began just after the rough men that ordered meat and ale had paid for their food. They were about to protest, when Bombolurina and Kell hissed venemously at them in synch. They sat down and closed their mouths. Kell tied her apron on and picked up the tray. Lorien: You really have amazing timing... Kell: Comes from clean living. The beer on tap flowed rather freely....as people simply flocked in. At least the meals weren't free. The cheers and beer songs didn't bother either of them, as they continued their conversation. Claudio looked rather bored with it all, but it was to be expected. It was vacation time....they deserved it. Kell looked happy enough, and Bombolurina loved Lorien almost as much a she did her mistress. The wolves out back were content to nap all day, and the poisonous reptiles did nothing more than laze around on the sun warmed rocks she'd set up in the garden. Kell: We're out of Ale dear. Claudio: I'm going... Kell: And it wouldn't hurt to...you know....lighten up? He bent down and bit her ear, then chuckled and rounded off. Kell: ....sometimes I wonder. Lorien: Are you going to marry him? Kell: HIM!? ....I don't know.

When he finished he saw in the eyes of the Black Heaven citizens that something didn't go well... Heron: What's going on here, why is everyone alarmed like that? Man: I heard that the the mayor got a letter from some bandits calling themselves Snakeskin and their in town causing chaos everywhere they go, they even got in a fight. Heron: What?!?! Snakeskin bandits, I know them...I encountered them once when I went to the Dwarf War...They're gonna transform this town ito chaos if we won't stop them, I'll go see the mayor if he needs me help with something. Man: Oh ok yeah... As the man finished his sentence Heron stood up and got out the bar and heading towards the mayor mansion to ask if he needs help. Corey
Ale. Ale ale ale. He usually kept two barrels in the tavern. Which mean since this morning the had already gone through two barrels. Claudio sighed and went out back. His thoughts turned prematurely to who he was going to leave in charge of the place. Lorien for one. But it wasn't a one person job. Someone else would have to be left... He opened the doors to the cellar and stepped down. Maybe the mayor would like a chance to earn a few more bucks. It would also be a good public outreach thing. Claudio- "Hmmm... That's not good." He re-counted quickly, making sure he was right. "Seventeen..." There were seventeen barrels of ale left. There are probably going to be at least two less after today. Another thing to worry about. God did he need to get away. He didn't even know when the caravan was coming through again. He would need to stock up soon. Perhaps a letter was in order. Kell- "Hey." Claudio turned around and was immediately embraced in a tight kiss. He smiled and fell over onto the soft ground. She broke the kiss momentarily. "Lighten up." Claudio- "I am already."

Tain: Hey! What was that for?! Kitty: You really should watch your drinking you idiot. Now, lets make sure this guy pays for his drink, shall we? Tain stared with a blank face, then Kitty bent down and pulled out the man's wallet. She waved it at Kell, who nodded. She pulled out a small amount, then put it back. She got the broom and started sweeping. Tain was still staring with a blank face when he sat back down. Kitty: You have to pay, too, you know. Tain: Aww... Eclectic
OOC: Sorry I haven't been posting. Kinda busy. ---------- Suuchin sat in her shop, slightly regretting not going back to the tavern after her lunch break. She had been hoping for a customer or two, but none came. She probably wouldn't even be paid for her 'hard' morning's work. Sighing, she started closing her shop and preparing to head back to the tavern, when someone knocked at her door. Praying to every god she knew that it was a customer, she put on her happiest looking smile and opened the door. "Hello and welcome to my shoppe. How may I help you?" DragonBlood
YEA! MY FIRST POST... Dorolin stepped into the tavern, looked around, he was almost sad he missed the fight that must have happened, though it would have bin small, it was already cleaned up, with the exeption of a nicely bloodied dagger. He went to the bar, "Golden Ale." he said, and waited for his drink...He hadn't bin in toen for a wile, weeks acually, he had more...pressing masters to atend to that keep his tab at the tavern high. He liked this tavern alot, no one asked him any thing more than the usual, 'how's your day' or 'any fresh bounties' Kell:"Here ya go." Dorolin:"Thanks, here." He tossed a gold peice to her, more than enough to pay for the drink he had ordered, but he always payed like that, he might as well have an account here for all the money that passed hands from him to the tavern. Dorolin:"Is that armor merchant still opporaiting out of town?" He asked. Tag:Raiha...
