I do. Or atleast they call it that. I would call it more of a chronic bronchitest than asthma.

Well, my lungs get weaker and weaker the more I use them. Everyone who is like: work out more! Your lungs will get stronger! Well, they're wrong. My lungs do not get stronger. Infact, they get weaker and weaker until they eventually can't do a thing. Then I have to stop working out for about a month or so.

Well, I would take my puffer more if it didn't have this bad side-effect. I guess Albuteral was not made for my system. You see, after I take it it makes me shake constantly. You know like when you are really cold? Like that. No one knows why.

man, I have that one too. I hate it! it makes me shake for like three hours non-stop.
I have Flovent too, but lately it hasnt been working for me at all, so now Ive been stuck suffering either way, shaking, or just not breathing well.
anyways, yeah, I it have really bad. Ive had since...like I was six. but, one good thing is that my older brother has grown out of it so I'm hoping I will too.
acording to my asthma doctor though, aparently my asthma has actually been better this summer-though I didnt notice.
I'm still waiting for my once a year trip to the ER because of it. but, if I make it to New-Years without one, I will be having a celebration!!
at least now I'm not on five different inhailers, now I'm back to three, I guess that Clairinex pill is a good one for both allergies and asthma.

No, dayday. You DON'T want asthma. It sucks. I had a horrid case of it back when I was younger. It's not beneficial at all, and most schools don't excuse you from gym just for it. You might get excused from running the mile. That's it. You still are required to take gym. Wanting a bronchial condition just to avoid something is a horrid thing to do.

I suppose, then, you'd want M.S. or Parkinson's so you wouldn't have to do anything hard?

I have hazy memories of an inhaler machine at the pediatrician. Luckily, I grew out of my asthma. I remember a time down the shore last year. I was able to run 7 blocks without getting winded. It was way cool.

What is this medication you guys are on about?> I have Ventolin and Becotide, maybe that is coz i live in Australia though.....

I don't use an inhaler because my insurence doesn't pay for it. And when I do take the albuteral it doesn't even work. I still take gym, I even run track in hopes to grow out of it, but I can't do to much. So basicall I'm fine as long as I don't push myself to hard.

I don't have asthma but members in my family do. I wondered what it felt like when they had an attack. My friend who has asthma told me to take one of those little straws you get on juice boxes and caprisuns and breathe through that all day. I tried to and it was really hard.I feel really bad for those who have asthma
and have to go through with that. Oh yeah,my dog has asthma. It's really sad. When she gets really excited she'll have an attack and we have to pet her and calm her down.

The closest thing I've had to asthma was geting very sick my sophomore year. I was "officially" diagnosed with pneumonia, had some form of bronchitis for a week or two, and (our family nurse says) mono for some time after that.

The worst couple weeks were right after Thanksgiving/early December. I couldn't walk up to my second-floor classes without getting out-of-breath, and well...it was pretty scary. I couldn't breathe--and that's not something I'd ever thought I'd have problems with. I mean...people always say you take air for granted, but what else would you do with it! Ergh.

My doctor gave me an inhaler, which I was supposed to use twice a day or something. I don't really remember..

But, yeah. The "not being able to breathe" thing was blissfully temporary.

I have astma...
First time i got a real big attack was with a piyama (sp?) party at one of my friends birthdays. Didnt know i had Astma so it was damn scary to just not be able to breath. And my gym teacher is an arshole and he doesnt care a f that some people have astma so they are less capable of easily breathing than others. And still i have to run 2.3 Kilometer. So ehm... Dayday. If i could decide bout it you really can have my astma

I have medicines like inhaler. Emergancy one and a preventing one. Friend of mine has discs of some sort.

I had ashma pretty bad when I was younger. I was even sent to the hospital when it double-teamed me with pnemonia. Did you guys' doctors say ashma was incurable? Mine did, and I flat out didn't believe him, and didn't take any medication the day after I returned from the hospital (even though I was told to by my parents). A bit risky, yes, but I wanted to test it. Strangely enough, to this day, I have never had another problem with it. I can run and do other physical stuff for as long as I want; I never have attacks anymore. So if there are any more out there that think it's incurable, I think you just grow out of it as you grow older. As an added bonus, my height has shot up. Taking all that medication really stunted my growth when I was tounger (7th grade at 80 pounds and 4"4), but about 6 months after i stopped the meds, I've gained nearly a third my previous height and wheight.

I had asthma when I was young. I grew out of it when I was about four, though recently I've been suffering alot of coughing attacks with colds, flu, and headaches. The doctor has just said I've got a mild re-occurance of asthma.

I have a puffer, but hardly use it. It doesn't help me at all.
