Vertigo
A king or a queen is still a government. And maybe you should study more history. You can find tons of problems with monarchy there.
Ryan
Yes, a lot of problems. I like the whole democracy thing. I mean if we had a King or Queen, we wouldn't be able to speak out aout disagreeing on one of their views, but we can do that in America.
Doukeshi
Heh, we have a Queen, however not much goes on there. She's just a figurehead really. You're talking about wars and govornments and such? Well, if you had a king or queen like say 16th century England I think you'll find that there were a whole lot more wars and invasions. The ruling was based on the personality of the king/queen, depending on what said monarch liked to do. Today with govornment it's democratic (well, it's supposed to be ¬_¬) and is based on what a multitude of people think, thus making it more fair (supposedly ¬_¬)

Patronus
[b]You seriously need to study Citizenship. Our Democracy is way different then a Dictatorship. In a Dictatorship, the voting is fixed, you can't speak against officials, and the Dictator can have anyone killed that he wants. A Democracy is way different then that, my friend. I suggest you study Citizenship before you make comments like that, and then you'll be able to back it up with intellectual reasons. Transtic Nerve
Governments are needed to govern people. You can't keep order without some form of government. Dictatorship, Democracy, Theocracy, Communism, Socialism, whatever the case may be. It's all government. There is no perfect government, they all have their cons. Please put a little more thought in your posts next time. Do some research too. This is the third topic in the last 5 minutes of yours that I've closed.
