I was thinking this when i was listing to my Mp3s, So i want know what anime has the best Opening theme music and Why? in your opinon (sp?)

My Vote would be for Scryed Opening theme Reckless Fire

Reasons: I say this becaues the song is a nice an upbeat, i really like the way this song is done caues it has kinda a spanish feal to it with the perfect use of the guitars and other intrsments, and the lyrics are really good and go well with the music, Also the Video they put with it is very good it helps so that this song could be use like as a fighting theme

so what do you people think???[

I'd have to say "Throught the Night", the main theme song from Outlaw Star. it's very electronic, which is normally a turn-off for me, but I still like it because of the lyrics, and the video is quite good. Some of the highlights include Aisha falling off a cliff, Gene checking his teeth in the mirror, and Gene and Jim sitting in their underwear drinking milk (Jim) and beer (Gene).
I have the full 4-minute version on my pc, and unfortunately no idea how to translate it. Also, it's cool when Melfina sings "Hiro no Tsuki" in English during the series.
I think we ought to put more in the posts so we don't get closed, just a suggestion.

Really, people, you should put more thought into your posts.
But this si a pretty hard question...Tank!(Cowboy Bebop) is definately one that's really good. In fact, it was what first convinced me to watch the series...
Duvet(Lain) is very calming, and very good for the series. Cruel Angel Thesis(Evangelion) is also very good for the series, and the opening video is quite amazing(I can't count how many times they flash something from a later episode in that...).
Logos Naki World(Hellsing) just seems to fit the series well, even though it seems more like something Cowboy Bebop would have.
I guess, for me, it'd have to be one of those, but there's no way that I could choose.

All of the .Hack opening are good, but in particular I prefer "Thousand and One Nights" from the .Hack//Liminality part 2 DVD. The music is played at a perfect pace and the lyrics sound great.

Then again, the band, See-Saw, that sings for .Hack and Noir is my favorite band right now. :p

I like the Hellsing opening...to bad i dont know what the song is called but i enjoy it. Its kinda a creepy song and i dont know many that are creepy that have the piano as the main instrument. Anyway though the music is dreary and it is just towards my liking. I dont know i like heavy metal and rock music.

That isn't even a difficult question. "Tank" is obviously my favorite opening theme to any anime, or tv series, ever. Music is such a large part of the Cowboy Bebop series and Yoko Kano did an amazing job capturing the mood of the anime in a single composition.

The only other anime opening song that I think is even half way decent is the opening of Hellsing, although I am at a loss for its title...It does a decent job setting the mood for the show.

Usually I find the music for anime to be horrible...I have absolutly why people like the music to Trigun and .hack.

Yoko Kanno rocks my world... I'd have to say that Tank!, the opener for 'Bebop, tops my list. Actually, the rest of the soundtrack is pretty amazing too! I have the CD-Box, which is three cd's of soundtrack, and one of the Seatbelts playing live, and it's awesome! There's some screamin' monster horn players in that band... ?_?

I also like the openers for Hellsing, Outlaw Star, Heat Guy J, and Gatekeepers 21. (Now -there's- a series I can get into; schoolgirls with exploding cellphones? Heck yeah! ?_?)

o_O Biiiig font....

Anyway, I'll stick to "Cruel Angel Thesis" from Evangelion. I've seen a good deal of anime, but the only one which constantly remains in me is that song. I like the melody in general, but what I really enjoy are the words. "Dakedo itsuka kizuku desho sono senaka niwa... haruka mirai mezasu tame no hane ga aru koto.." (Trans: On your back there are wings leading to the far future you only can search for..) I really love that line. I think thats the main message of the whole song, and perhaps the entire series.

I think Dual!, Silent Mobius, and Excel Saga have the best opening sequences, for a series. Mostly cuz half of it doesn't make sense to me :twitch: I just like the music in it. Excel Saga needs no debate, it's crazy and I never skip it when I watch an episode. And for Dual!, it just fits the series! No question! I hate depressing anime, and the music that comes along with it. :cross:

Well, as far as themes go, I love Cowboy Bebop's opening theme, "Tank!", Yoko Kanno did an excellent job and it has actually turned into one of my favorite songs period, anime or not. And FLCL totally turned me into a The Pillows fan. I can't wait till the soundtrack comes out. And i really ahte to say, Shining Finger from G Gundam has been stuck in my head for about, since it premired of Toonami. *SHINING FINGER! Dah dah di di dah di deh*

I love "Tank!"...that was the coolest theme...it just got you pumped up to watch Bebop...I don't watch Bebop on Adult Swim because of he song though...it's kind of loud and everybody is asleep...including me...I also have to agree with Double_B_Daigo...the G Gundam theme sounded so weird...especially since whoever sings the song keeps on switching from Japanese to English lyrics...

I agree, Tank is so good. I love the beat, the whole blues thing really gets you in the mood. The sounds and the visuals are amazing and I love it!

I watched and heared the opening theme for RK. I hate it to death. It totally clashes with the attitude of the show and deffiently doesn't go with the opening footage. When i heard the song start, i thought it was going to be a Heavy Metal J-Rock and it quickly turned into a quirky pop song with squeeky voices. The music director needs a little bit of tuning up.
