Hey, we all play playstation religiously right? Inspired by our moderators name is my next question. What is your favorite video game enemy (one or some of them) and why? Be sure to mention the game and console. Is it your favorite because of character design, something just really wacky or some other reason?

My favorite enemy is from teh Final fantasy series, the Cactuars. Little tiny cactus' that were really hard to find/damage. They were just so wonderfully bizarre and it was fun to find them in the FF games. FF8 had the Jumbo cactuar, which was huge and could either slaugher you or run away.

The little guys are just so cute too, I always felt a little bad in killing them.

My favorite enemy from a vidio game are the little demon children from Silent Hill. I like how they are never ending and you can beat them with a pole. I had the guide and it said to avoid all enemies to save ammo but I like to kill so I beat everything with the pole. It was fun.

My favorite Is Ansem, He wears a Dress!! hehe. I also like Pansy (we've taken to calling Ansem's guardian thing pansy, because my guide said that it helped to scream out "STOP BLOCKING YOU PANSY" every couple of seconds. What's even funnier is that it works. Every time he comes out to guard Ansem, I say "pansy", and as soon as i finish saying it, he goes right back behind Ansem) It's really an inside joke, sorta, if u got it, then you're inside!! (okay, that was just Reeeaaaaaaly corny)

The Patriots from Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. Why?

- You never see them nor know who they really are
- Mysteriously enough, they control everything
- They wield so much power, it is sick (play the game and you will see)

And the number one reason:

- They allow for MGS4 (Check out the MGS3 thread and play the games and you will see...)

:D

Hmmm, favorite enemy.

Well I too like Sephiroth, because of his calm/cool nature and disregard for human life. This is what makes him such a likeable villian. That, and his cool sword.

Oh, I also like those big Behemoth enemies from Kingdom Hearts. I don't know why, but its just fun to climb on to their backs and beat them senseless.:D

Neo Cortex is cool, but my fav evil fella (Note: I hardly ever play mah Sony any more...) is N. Tropy, Neo's sidekick, he appears in Crash Bandicoot:" Lost in Time, or whatever it was....o.0. Anywho, I like him, coz he looks cool, has a mad goatee, controls time, fights you with a fork, and has a cool accent. ooh, ooh, ohh. Or Tiny Tiger. He is soooooo much fun. Plus he has this groovy armour...

I'm going to contribute another one....the fat heartless in Kingdom hearts. It is really very satisfying to destroy those pudgy monsters. I think that square really knows what they're doing. Something about enemies exploding as a pile of coins that made fighting in the game much more addictive. If only my enemies in real life exploded into a pile of coins.....

my most favorite enemies are the emerald and ruby weapons from FF7. my reason for these monsters are the fact that they take so much time and energy to kill them and the fact that if you screw up they don't hesitate to kill you and make you even angrier when you have to start all over again.

I love that guy (it was contra 1)!! He was actually a little hard on 1player. A couple of years ago me and my friend played Contra all night until we could beat it in a 2-player game without dying once. It was really satisfying when we finally did it. We got to the snow board so many times and died in some silly way and had to reset. That was some hardcore nintendo.

Guest Stealth Knight
The Bonnes off of Megaman Legends. Mostly the reason that I like them is because they can be quite funny at times. Another reason is because the come up with some pretty cool machinery.

P.S. I do have a Playstation 2, I just chose to pick this game.

I love all of the enemies on Spyro the Dragon. I can't remember which Spyro, but they are so cool. I love the music that comes with them too.

But my ultimate favorite video game enemy would have t be NEMESIS from Resident Evil 3!!!! He is the coolest enemy by far. Maybe that's because I haven't realy played a lot of games, but when I saw him I was like..."wow". I like how he was created, how he looks ( I mean you could really get chills just looking at the guy), I like how he fights and his weapons, and the sounds he makes ( you know like the growling and so on). It's really scary. I just want to play that game just thinking about it.

Even though Nemesis is going to like kill me fifty million times.

Hmmm...The coolest game villian ever...AHA! How come noone said Psycho Mantis from MGS? Or Sniper Wolf? I think they were some of the best villians. Sniper wolf had a great story behind her, and a great behind! She was really cool, and had wolves! Most villians don't have wolves! Psycho Mantis, whew, now there was a tough one. How many of you figured out that controller trick without some kind of clue? And some of the minor bosses from CSotN were cool, too. they had some really cool char designs, like death and the Creature.

My favourite video-game enemy is not mainstream. I like the Shinra Guards from FF7. Not all guards mind you, but the ones you have the option to keep as hostages. They're such wimps!

Apart from that an enemy I can actually fight that I find cool is Seipher. Hate Final Fantasy 8 *shivers at thought of abysmal magic system* but Seipher was just plain cool.

They're two of the most widely embraced games worldwide, so it's not surprising. And Sephiroth seems to be the only enemy that receives praise in Final Fantasy VII for some reason. It's a shame too. If you think about it, Rufus Shinra is a much more interesting individual.

Metal Gear Solid, to its credit, did have a cast of terrific antagonists. All were well-rounded and interesting. When I killed them, I actually cared.

Bowser still stands as the greatest enemy to grace a video game, regardless. His perserverence is something I must respect. Plus, he's always willing to temporarily bury the hatchet with Mario and fight by his side, should it be to his benefit. It's quite clever of him. ^_^

It's either Lu Bu from Dynasty Warriors series or Bass from various Megaman Games...

Lu Bu- Many descriptions can be used on him. Black haired, halbered holding, *** kicking machine. It's very fun to go against him, though there's a high chance of getting wiped out in 1 combo by him (if you're using a maxed out character then you might have a chance again him...). Lu Bu is also a fun character to use for yourself, he's too powerful and too much as a tank. (Taishi Ci is a tank himself but yeesh, Lu Bu IS NOT A TANK!!! He's can destroy a tank himself if he lived in this century) His personality is always revolved around his betrayal and his over confidence. Which makes him a cool character in my point of view

Bass- Cool loookin and powerful. Bass also has a huge ego lol. He's a pain to beat in many games (including the battle network series for GBA).His Gospel ray is very powerful and as cool lookin as his style.

Well. I do agree. Sephiroth really was just a puppet and only had one motive. To become an omnipotent being (I think that's the proper usage of the word). Rufus was doing what he thought was right (for the most part) and instead of leaving he died with his city, like a captain going down with the ship if you will. But I didn't choose either, so I can be unbiased on the subject. I'd probably prefer Rufus over Sephiroth, mainly for depth of character.
