In my opinion, Square's take on villains was very stere-typical, the only unique one was Kefka, aside from him, I'd seen others similar to Sephiroth etc.

Personally I feel Final Fantasy isn't about defeating an 'evil side', it's just about how the main characters tackle the cycle within the story. Most of the so called villains are brain washed or manipulated anyway. Biggs and Wedge are by far the best cameo appearance by name. However, Kefka has my vote as being impressive.

But, Brahne was, if I remember correctly, being somewhat brainwashed. Yeah, she was pretty freaky, but she was only a pawn, which in my opinion, doesn't give one villain status.

Anyways, the best name for a FF villain, would have to be Exdeath, of FF5. Just the sheer bluntness of evil implied, gives one the idea that European Death Metal should be played whenever he enters the room.

I dont know why sooo many people like Sephiroth! I didnt like him because when I first played the game I had the flu and he made the game confusing, and as most people whove had the flu would know, it is not good to be confused when you have the flu! Aside from that,
He killed Aeris and I didnt like that! I liked Aeris. I didnt like Tifa because I thought that the little girl in the beginning of the game Marlene was hers and Barrets and she was leaving the cute little girl all alone! (remember I was sick and hadnt yet fully found everyones background) So with no girl characters left that I liked after Aeris (I hadnt found Yuffie yet) I was left with Barret Nanaki and Cloud. And that is why I dont like Sephiroth. Also hes pure evil, I mean he didnt care at all. I think everyone would show just abit of remorse if even for only one person! Hes too one dimensional
I guess you just shouldnt play Final Fantasy when you're sick. So even when I play Final Fantasy 7 again I just dont like certain characters because of what I thought of them the first time.

I personally liked Seymour because
he didnt like humanity. They suffered because of themselves and he sought out to end that. I find that that was a pretty interesting take on life. Or maybe Im just confusing him with another rpg villain
Anywho, I just remembered liking Seymour!

Then don't play Final Fantasy 7 with the flu!

My favorite Final Fantasy villian would have to be...agg...it's a tie between Sephiroth and Ultimicia. Sephiroth, simply, because he confused my family! It was so funny, watching them scratch their heads trying to comprehend the great mastermind that is Sephiroth!

Ultimicia cause she has evil intentions. Not that evil IS everything(which it is) but the whole time compression idea was sweet...I mean, creating the world as you see fit? Hell, if I did that, the world would BE Final Fantasy.
