Zephyr
Ok, real simple. I am looking for each person's opinion on the greatest mecha in any anime, and a GOOD reason why you prefer that particular mecha. (Please note: I said a good reason because I want to avoid anyone spamming this thread) My opinion and reason: I prefere the Hardsuits shown in the series Bubblegum Crisis (also the Tokyo 2040 version). One of the main reasons I like them is because it is so rare in anime to see a group of women piloting mecha suits (especially ones shaped like that). Another reason is that the Hardsuit designs were done by Kenichi Sonoda, and I am a huge fan of his artwork. The final reason for this is that it is nice to not see mecha that do not dwarf entire buildings.
Guest Tical
My favorite Mecha is.... Thats a hard question but Id have to say either Gundam Deathscythe or Dragon Gundam because the both have good weapons and cool drivers. Duo being a cheerful friendly god of death and SaiSaiChi being an awesome figter yet just a kid.
Aoshi Shinomori
I pretty much like every single Gundam...but I'd love to pilot the Genosaurer in Zoids...charged particle cannon...so much power...at it looks amazing too...besides that...the conflict between the Genosaurer and Blade Liger was really good... duorocks17
There are so many good mechs that it's hard to chose just one! I'm going to go with the Gundams because no matter what series of Gundam you watch, the gundams far exceed any other mechs. They have superior fighting abilities, and superior weapons. Even the pilots aren't normal humans. They've all grown up with war and know what it is and how to face it. And not any can pilot a gundam., unlike some mechs. So there you have it. I chose the Gundams.
Lone Bebop
You can keep yah fancy hight tech mechs i'll take the crafmenship of Paradime City. My fav mech would be Big Duo i liked this mech for many resaons. The flgiht power is number and how it does is really cool haveing the arms act as the engines. then we have the weapontry i think its really nice to have a mech thats no coverd in head to toe with weapons, yah only need a few and Big Duo has that going for it, with a simple missle luncher and machine guns (i know Schwarzwald didnt use them in sesaon 1 but They are there). And at last we have the best resaon: The sher history behide Big Duo it has a certin aura of mystrie to it like how it was built, and were did Schwarzwald find it. so end the end, Big Duo = Sheer Coolness
ZytaZiouZ
Technically it is not anime (it is cel shaded to look like anime, anime type plot, made in Japan, and even made by someone who used to make anime), but I would have to say that by far, the Mechs from Zone of the Enders are my favorite. They are not only cool, but extremely fast. Only a few could dwarf a building. In fact, at one point in the second game you go into a research building and into the basement. These things are by far faster than any anime I have ever seen. In a fight, you can't even tell which is which until you actually play the game for an hour or two. Not only are they fast, but they have extremely powerful weapons, and everyone is different. My second favorite would be Escaflowne. Escaflowne can turn into a dragon, and it just has style. Just look at my sig (if I haven't changed before now, when you are reading this).
Zen
I prefer either the Armor Shrikes from Blue Gendr or The Gundams from all the Gundams except G and SD. Both for there beleivablitly and there emmence coolness factor. It jsut builds my hopes that someday, soem one could actually build one. I have a cousin'who is like 26 who made actual hidrolics and blue prints for a Gundam cuz they all work in, like, a car/mechanics shop. It could actually work. Its freakin amazing.
Yeah, I know that feeling. I play a game called Battletech which has 9-13 meter tall Battlemechs (simply called Mechs) in it, and ever since I got hooked on the games/books I have wanted to see a real one hit the battlefields. The only problem is, a bipedal/quadrapedal weapons platform would be too hard to build and control, and technology would have to be more advanced then it is now for them to rival a tank or other military vehicles. Oh well, maybe someday.
Zen
But it is possible with the controls cuz there is a game on X Box, which its name fails to cmoe to me right now, that uses a controoler the size of a desk and foot petals. You control a giant mech called a VT, VErtical Tank, and it awsome. I saw it in action on the G4 channel. you actually had to press an eject button when your dying or you would lose you save data. It was so beleviable it wasn't funny.
Dan Rugh
its name fails to come to me
It's called Steel Battalion. I always thought that the Ingrids (Goddesses) from Pilot Candidate were pretty cool looking. I was going to post a picture of one, but it's really hard to find anything on this anime unless you search for the Japanese name, Megami Kouhousei. I still didn't find any suitable pictures. Well, the Ingrids look like robot women.
duelist22
The ShadowFox from Zoids. :excited: That thing is great. It has both long and short-range shooting, cloaking, plus more. Its my ideal mech.

I mean it doesnt grasp my attention cause theres no human emotion in it like the others. But another mech show I'd have to say I loved was the old school....VOLTRON!!! Yeah I went back! But I like my Zoids and Bubblegum Crisis Toyko 2040. Thats an excellent one too. Reminds me I need to go and buy those. But there is another one you can't forget. Neo Genesis Evangelion!!! Rockstar Haruko
I like the Mechs from Candidate for Goddess. They are so different from everything else that is out and I like how they look. Their colors and everything. The artists did a very good job in designing them! ^_^
Dagger
My favorite mech would definitely be RahXephon (from, well, RahXephon.....). Its design is absolutely gorgeous, and its weapons are rather impressive. I just find the idea of mechas battling with the power of sound to be absolutely fascinating. It doesn't hurt that RahXephon is a beautifully animated series, so you really get to see the mechas strut their stuff. ~Dagger~
Kent
Evangelion anyone? Unfortunatly cn hasn't done much if any of this series, so most of the otaku people with only cn as an anime resource don't know the series. But in terms of speed and fighting, they are amazing and as soon as I can get some pics together I will be back to blow your minds.
