No, I haven't but I have always wanted to. My mom would probably deny it. She thinks I act enough like a boy already. But girls can do it too. I don't know why I can't. *mumbles*

I once actually tried it, and the first wrestling match I signed-up for went bad.

My opponent was a kid I absolutely hated in school, and get it over him once and for all would be the happiest day of my life (then, anyway). And he knew it. We started off, and he suddenly threw a punch... as in, a "fight" punch, and it felt like he knocked my jaw out of my mouth. It went on, smashing him up into the side of a few lockers, and smashing me into tables, when the operator came into the "spare gym" and found us (we ended up in the second gym). He broke it up.

I did get my serving of his flesh, and he did mine. I was more happy than anything after that day. Then I quit the sport. :drunk: I love the sport, though to participate in it, would shake me up permanently.

i wrestled 135lbs in 9th grade. The hardest thing were the practise. So if you are thinking about joining... you better get yourself in the weight room, and start benching.
In middle school their were 2 girls that were in wrestling... I dont know about High school tho. It could be possable for a girl to wrestle.

I wrestle, this is my fourth year. The practices are hard, but the it is just different from any other sport. It's a team sport but you dont relie on ur team to help u win. You do it yourself and its the toughest six minutes of your life. I never six minutes could take so long, but thats because its just a pure physical sport of stamina, technnique and strength. It's also a very mental sport. Not many girls I kno wrestle, but the ones that do deserve credit because they work just as hard as any guy out there.

I havn't joined a team, but I have wrestled in school, during PE.
It's alright. Not my favorite sport, but I wouldn't totally mind being on a team. My body is alright for it (164lbs, 5'11), and from the matches i've faced, i've come to realize that i'm much faster than the people on the wrestling team now, who are, for the most part, just large with brute force.
My school has both a Male and Female wrestling team, and from watching both, they seem equal in ability. Now, maybe not equal if they were facing a co-ed match,(which would never happen in the first place), but with the opponent's they've went up againtst, they seem to have equal skill. It's not your gender, it's how you train.

1) You're lucky you wrestle in PE
2) There are 3 types of wrestlers that can be explained through animals (cheetahs (speed), chimpanzees (skill), or elephants (strength))
3) Co-ed matches can happen if it just so happens there is 2 members of the opposite sex wrestling

I'm not saying they can't physically happen, but they never will because our school, and most other schools that I know of, have a rule agaisnt it..
If it's outside of a league or something, of course it can happen. I think you misunderstood me.

I would have to say I'm a chimp(no laughing!)
I'm starting my 3rd year this year. We started weight training this week(about 3 months before wrestling even starts!).
My favorite moves are the cowboy and the guillitine.
