Don't worry I'm not some kind of n00b anime fan or anything ;) A few of my favorite animes are Cowboy Bebop, Gundam Wing, Trigun, Rurouni Kenshin, and YuYu Hakusho. I also have a few wall scrolls and a pretty good manga collection (Lupin The 3rd Volumes 1-15) Once I get a job I can stock up on alot more :D I am also big on gaming. Some of my favorite developers are Silicon Knights, Konami, and Factor 5. I currently own a GCN with 15 games (soon to have a PS2) And I'm a high school freshman. Just follow the rules and you'll make plenty of friends. Oh, try some of the specialized boards, you'll find alot of anime fanatics here (goldmine!).
