Do you think the buu saga was the best of all the saga's where. Why or why not. What do you think of the many forms of buu. Or do you think it would been better with something extra in it.

My answer:
I truly think that the "Buu Saga" was the best saga of all. Because the fusion dance and fusion earings were introduced. Also Gohan achieved Mystical Saiyan. [ Thats what I call it ] The only thing I did not like is the way Buu re generated his body so many times. What if Buu only had so many times before he could not re generate. Like maybe his "regenerative powers" was too greatly used.

The Buu saga in the manga was my favorite. I especially liked the part when Goku talks to everyone on earth while gathering energy for the spirit bomb. I didn't really like the anime version of the Buu saga due to so many fillers and sometimes things dragged out so long.

In the manga, Buu didn't rely entirely on regenerating because not many attacks could really mess him up. IMO the Buu saga was best for ending DBZ.

I think that the Buu saga...was not as good as it could have been. In fact, it wasn't at all, based purely on the fact that it existed.

Think about it. Saiyins: V. powerful. But the Saiyins had been cowed by Freiza. In fact, Freiza was so powerful that one of his minions shot a member of his own race, stating "There are no more races - there are merely those who serve Freiza, or those who die". Or something to that effect. So, we gather, Freiza is very, very bad news.

Androids: The androids kick around the Z warriors for most of the season where they actually fight. They are nothing to them. Then, on top of that, Cell arrives. He's already the badest thing on the block by the time he reaches Imperfect Cell 2. When he reaches his perfect form, nothing can touch him, and his dark power is felt as far away as Namek. Cell decimated entire cities, entire ISLANDS, for simple goals. Tidal waves and earthquakes accompanied his ascension to perfection. In short, nothing was more destructive then Cell. Nothing ever had been, and nothing ever would be. That was the point you were gathering from Toriyama. And, at the very end of the Cell games, everyone participates in the destruction of Cell. Gohan may have been the one to actually blast him to ashes, but he couldn't have done it without Vegeta, Yamcha, Tien, or Krillen's help.

Then Buu comes along. And, watching the series, you get the feeling that Cell was supposed to be the end-all of DBZ, but they tossed in Buu simply for the sake of going on.

As a fighter, he was horrible. He could barely block and got hit all the time, and without his regenerative powers he would of died several dozen times over. Vegeta could have kicked Kid Buu's *** if Buu couldn't have regenerated.

Fat Buu was a joke. There was no point to his existance. None whatsoever. You look at Cell, or Freiza, Vegeta, or even Piccolo in his day, and they were serious, serious baddies that meant buisness and would kill all of us. Buu? Grab some chocolate and give him some. Ta-da! No more destruction.

The Fusion dance is one of the worst things I've ever seen, even by the standards which I usually set low for Japan. This is not racism, this is fact: The Japanese will watch Anything

The fusion earings was better. They should have skipped the dance entirely.

All in all, I say this: Cell was supposed to be the last, and there were supposed to be no more.

Then someone offered Toriyama some money.

Exactly my thoughts indeed I don?t know why they bothered to make anymore. That whole saga was completely horrible and no relevance to anything.
The Cell saga though was my favorite of all Saga's and I at that time didn?t know that there was another saga. Because I stopped caring to watch DBZ. When I found out I was all like ?this might actually be cool.? God was I wrong *shakes head in disgust* Oh well, I don?t hate DBZ though. But it still annoys me that they made the saga. The series would of actually been good if it had stopped at the Cell Saga, not only that Perfect Cell was cool. Buu was just... pathetic.

Yes, but all of these things could have been accomplished in movies. The entire Buu saga could have probably been condensed into a single movie that would have been good. Instead they streached it out for an entire season that was bad.

Oh, and Mystic Saiyin is a pointless level.

The rule behind an anime is this: Cliff Hanger Ending. Look at some of the greatest animes of all time: Evangelion, Digimon 01 and 03, Cell Saga's ending, Blue Submarine No. 6, Princess Mononoke. None of these have definate endings where you can almost guess what happens next. No. Instead, a million possibilities are open to the viewer.

DBZ? Someone could have almost guessed DBGT. Get a hundred people into a room, and they could have told you what DBGT would have been like.

Cliff. ****ing. Hanger. Use Cliff Hangers, people! No one wants a happy ending, but no one wants a sad ending, either. People want endings that leave us guessing, imagining, dreaming of what might happen next, but we'll never know, 'cause the series is over.

The premise of the Buu saga was almost identical to every other saga. Its lack of originality did not earn it points in my book.

If you analyze DragonBall Z, the show's recipe doesn't benefit from too many interesting ingredients. From the Furiza saga on, we're introduced to dilemmas where a villain threatens to conquer the universe for whatever reason. Their agenda usually isn't very deep or poetic. They're evil and they must be defeated.

The heroes train and attain higher power levels. After the protagonists get a few hits in on the antagonist, he transforms and the heroes must achieve even greater power levels to combat him. Eventually the side of good prevails in the face of seemingly impossible odds. And that's the gist of Dragonball Z right there. lol

It only became more annoying when the ability to regenerate lost body parts was introduced to the villains. It only added to the unnecessarily prolonged sagas. Particularly in the case of the Buu saga, there were too many confusing gimmicks used to stretch out the series' lifespan.

That does make since Charles. I never thought of that. Man they do in all dragon ball z series. And majorly in the Buu Saga. When a saiyan gets hit a couple of times they transform and defeits the stinking ODDS! Maybe I will stop watching this saga x.x

Yeah, that about sums it up.

To me the Buu Saga seemed like this: there's an enemy who wants to destroy/take over the universe. The good guys fight him. They realize the enemy is impossible to fight. They train. They fight him again. Same thing. They train. Buu kills most of the good guys. The remaining good guys fight. They get their butts kicked. (Etc., etc.)

And finally, they come up with an idea that has been effective in the past, they try it, it works. Just like that. And it gives them a good moral. ("If everyone works together, great evil can be defeated" or something.) But I just thought it was ridiculous. So they had a really, really big energy blast. OK. Shouldn't Buu have just regenerated again? I mean, supposedly he can regenerate no matter HOW many pieces he gets blown into. So...why did the Spirit Bomb work? It seems like a lot of build-up, then they got bored and came up with a more or less plausible way to cut it off.

The unique villains were few. The Androids were interesting to throw into the mix. They didn't have a reason to destroy everything, but that was their point. They just did things that were fun to them. If helping people were ever to become fun, then they would have done that. I mean,

"Seventeen, why are we going to take a car when we could just fly to Goku's house?"
"Because we've never done it before,"
-Seventeen and Eighteen.

Cell has possibly the best backstory out of every DBZ villain, and it's better then any two of them combined. Mostly because of the shere rediculousness involved in trying to sort it out, which I am STILL unable to do. But Cell was the first "I'm so powerful that I can destroy everything including you" villain. The first time we had an enemy that was a threat to everything. I mean, Freiza, Garlick? Both would have fallen eventually. We know that. But Cell was unstopable.

As it turns out, that idea, "I can destroy everything, whee..." does not get better with time.

I think the Frieza Saga was the best, by far. It had the most interesting storyline, all the weird and interesting characters. You also got to know the main characters a lot better. Vegeta even kinda sorta turned good.

btw, I agree dbz the characters always train, fight, get defeated, train, fight and win. The reason for this however, is that it was directly stated that saiyans get stronger when they are defeated. That is why they were such a powerful race. If they ever got defeated, they just had to make sure not to get killed, and the next time they went back, they'd be more powerful than they're previous betters.

[b]Every signle ki blast that hit. Around 800. Would have blown off limbs. That little :Bleep: Who can't even dodge, or block. Just has the extremely queer power of regeneration/NO PAIN. He really couldn't feel pain... He just got really mad when pain should have come to him. Another things is that He regenerated at least.... god... 18 times from being blown into a million peices. Buu saga.... No....
