Zidargh
I've been thinking about the days of the N64, and a mystical guru told me in a dream that I should gather people's opinions, so I did. Well we should all remember the Nintendo. That new polygonal featuresque console that was faster than NASA's computer, apparentley o_0. Well a few games have stuck in my head, but Im finding it hard to bother to play them again, I suppose I have to find out if I sold them or not. ^_~ Basically I want games that in your opinions on the N64 that will always be remembered. Here's a few of mine: - Mystical Ninja: Starring Goemon - I absolutely adored this game. The way the depth mixtured with the simply exploration always attracted my attention when I was younger. And also those Japanese songsd always sounded insane to me, hence, mental hyper... ness. A nice step away from those Turn Based RPGs me thinks. Diddy Kong Racing - I mustn't be on my own on this one. This was a classic title with its own unique exploration while the races blended in perfectly. Lovely stuff. Banjo Kazooie - I never played the second one but I loved the first. It was huge for a game at the time, and there were so many secrets included making up for excellent replay time. I have more games but I'll wait for some responses first.
Shinmaru
Well, I'm sure others will talk about the obvious titles such as Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64, etc. so I'll stick to other titles. F-Zero X: Still my favorite racing game of all time (hopefully, it will be replaced by F-Zero GX). The speed is incredible and the tracks were really amazing. It's quite a rush starting out at the back of the pack and working your way to winning the race. Perfect Dark: If the multi-player was smoother this would be the best reason to own an N64, in my opinion. The single player isn't too shabby, either. A lot of work went into this title and it shows. Star Fox 64: Nice, smooth controls and lots of enemies to blast equal a good time for me. The bosses were pretty cool (if a bit easy) and the multiple paths created some nice replay value. Matto Tradagen
Personaly, I didn't really like the Nintendo 64. It had a serious lack of RPG's, and some of the games really seemed uninspired. However, I still have my favorites. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time: This was probably my favorite game on the entire system. It's what got me into Zelda games in the first place. The graphics were really quite good for the time, and the gameplay was amazing. I enjoyed every minute of the quest, and still do. Goldeneye 007: I'm not one for FPS's, but this was really great. It wasn't too complex, and yet wasn't too simple. It was a good mix. Multiplayer was a blast. Countless hours were spent in my basement, in an all out gun battle. Insanely fun. I know it might seem shallow of me, only picking two titles that were both "Game of the Year", but honestly, they're the only games that make me want to remember the N64. ~Matto
Shippo
Hmm...lesse.... I didnt beat it...(considering i could only had it for five days) but what i did play out of it, was great. I loved the partners you can choose, and all. duorocks17
Hee Hee! I got it!!! Come on, people! You got to love Mario Cart!! In my opinion one of the greatest games for the N64! Driving around wierd looking tracks, shooting shells at your opponents, using the power of the star to go faster, using the lighting bolt to make the others small so you can run over them, mushrooms, bombs, the list goes on. My favorite driver...Mario, of course!!! My dad's favortie...toad "Let's go!" Winner....Mario, every time!! I also LOVED Zelda! I keep playing that game, over and over, never being able to get past the water temple. *Cries* But oh well, I love it anyway!! Link is the best!! Go link!!! Pagan
Haven't thought about this before....what my fav 64 game....oh yeah No Mercy. That game is the basis for all new wrestling games out now. That move TKO was brutal and funny looking. I also liked the Raymen games because he didn't have arms or a neck.
terra
Originally posted by Shippo Hmm...lesse.... Super Smash bros Just a fun lil game you pop in and enjoy.
WOAH, WOAH, WOAH. Hold up there. Smash Brothers is not just a fun little game. ... Okay, fine it is. Smash Bros. is probably one of my all-time favorite N64 games, though ... because I am so darn good at it. Haha, again exaggerating. Anyway, Smash Bros. would definitely make it onto my list, mainly because of its multiplayer value. It really has little to no appeal as a single-player game, though. Goldeneye would be on my list for the same reason. As would MarioKart, which is probably my all-time favorite. (I didn't find Diddy Kong Racing as good as MarioKart, although the different vehicles you can use are definitely a nice touch. MarioKart just felt more ... controllable.) Um ... do I have any that aren't already mentioned ...? Oh yeah, all the Mario Party games. Okay, they were actually pretty bad really, but they had some play value if you got three of your friends together and decided to just sit down and play. You'd end up hating all your friends when they stole your stars and coins ... but it was a good waste of time.
Shinmaru
Another great N64 game is Pokemon Puzzle League. I actually can't stand the Pokemon-ness of the game and it almost drove me away...but I loved Tetris Attack so much that I had to keep playing (though, I still prefer Tetris Attack because Tetris Attack had slowdown lol). I love Tetris Attack so much more than Tetris, it's not even funny. Flipping panels and making crazy combos is really addicting. I'm not really known as a puzzle game fanatic but I really love this game dearly.

Another game, i dono why no one seems to like it, but it was the first (well, it was either that or pokemon..cant remember) RPG i played, and knew what i was doing...
